Overview

Property

Updated: 01-Dec-2016
Sleeps up 14, 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, panoramic view - video in photos gallery

VILLA FOR RENT BY OWNER available all the year for weekly rental from Saturday 5 pm to Saturday 10 am only.

The Villa

Villa Tuscany is an authentic old stone Tuscan property totally restored. The house sits on a wonderful 10-acre/4 hectare estate of olive groves and enjoys a southern exposure which offer sunlight from morning to evening. Its isolated and dominant position ensures complete tranquility with a magnificent panoramic view across the hills of the Chianti countryside. During the rental period, the owner, a famous French actor and director, lives in his theatre studio behind the main house in order to guarantee guests privacy and the exclusive use of the pool. The restoration of the Villa has been made in an extraordinarily tasteful manner that preserves the traditional Tuscan architectural style while offering, at the same time, all modern comforts and amenities. Situated in the heart of Tuscany between Florence, Siena and Pisa, this place is an excellent choice for exploring the Chianti region and a perfect location for large group of friends, family reunion or wedding celebration.

The accommodations

The 8,600 sq ft/800 m2 of the Villa divided on two floors offer to guests an ample space. A large room with huge Tuscan fireplace, comfortable sofa and armchairs make up the living area open onto the main terrace with panoramic view. The dining room seats 16 people on a long table, plus 4 people on a round table and has a cozy salon with an upright piano. The kitchen with its own access to the garden contains cooking equipment for serving 20 persons. It boasts a 5-burner stove, electric oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, side by side refrigerator-freezer and all modern amenities. Close to the kitchen, there is a laundry room with washing machine, dryer, ironing equipment and an office room with desk, sofa, phone and Canon printer/scanner/fax. The Villa's accommodations offers six large bedrooms with queen size or single size beds and six charming “Belle Époque” en suite bathrooms. The rustic and typical Tuscan furniture create a very nostalgic and 'retro' atmosphere of beauty and harmony. Several magnificent reproductions of masterpieces by Renaissance artists are displayed on the immaculate white walls of the Villa. All the rooms overlook the garden and have their own air conditioning system, wi-fi internet connection and window screens.

Panoramic terraces

The Villa includes three panoramic terraces open to the beauty of the surrounding countryside where it is a pleasure to have lunch and dinner.

Private swimming pool

In the midst of olive groves and facing the panorama is a large swimming pool with a full southern exposure. The pool (20 ft/6 m wide - 40 ft/12 m long - 4 ft/1,25 m deep with a 8 ft/2,50 m deep diving area) has a green terrace with umbrellas, dining canopy, sun beds, hammock and an open-air shower in a small bamboo grove. At night, it can be illuminated for midnight bathing under the stars.

About the Owner

Hello my name is Yves Lebreton. I am a French artist. After studying in the sixties, painting and music, I devoted myself to the art of Mime and became a professional actor in 1969 with my first public show in Paris. Since I have never stopped traveling around the world with my theatrical productions. In 1983, I bought this beautiful old Tuscan farm to create my own theatrical studio in the middle of olive groves. In 2000, I turned all the property in full respect of the traditional Tuscan architectural style in order to welcome foreign tourists curious to discover the infinite beauty of Tuscany and the treasures of the Italian Renaissance.

Beautiful and serene Villa Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful week we had at Villa Tuscany! This was a four generation family trip to celebrate a 35th wedding anniversary, a 61st wedding anniversary, an engagement, a law school graduation, completion of medical residency and many birthdays. We could not have found a more perfect place for this!

Yves has restored the villa in a style that is both beautiful and peaceful. He has also furnished and decorated it with a serene and artistic eye, equipping it with things that one might not have considered essential but that make it feel like vacationing in the home of a delightful friend, rather than just a rental home.

Everything is to the highest standard, but subtle luxury, rather than ostentation. The grounds are beautifully maintained and inviting. Inside and out many seating areas and configurations accommodate different groupings that allow for individual and group enjoyment. The villa would work as well for a group of couples as it did for our multigenerational group, as all of the en suite bedrooms are equally attractive and commodious.

Although our week was frequently rainy, we enjoyed many outings and the changing view of the surrounding area. We saw a rainbow early one morning and mist rising from the valleys in the late afternoon of a rainy day. The villa provided an excellent base for sightseeing in the area, including to some beautiful vineyards. At the end of each eventful day, we thoroughly enjoyed the superb and bountiful meals prepared for our family of 11 by Carla Meucci, the chef recommended by Yves. All in all, an absolutely fantastic week! Do not hesitate to come to Villa Tuscany. It is fabulous! Many thanks Yves!

Villa Tuscany is spectacular

  • 5 of 5

Villa Tuscany has the most spectacular location about a mile from Montespertoli but completely secluded down a private road, set in an olive grove, with wonderful views. It is a very old farmhouse but has been very tastefully modernised. The sitting areas are very comfortable, all the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped and Yves is very welcoming and helpful. There were fresh flowers on the table and a bottle of home produced olive oil in the kitchen. The pool is lovely and we all enjoyed swimming and lounging around it. We had Carla prepare a wonderful meal for one of the party’s birthday, there was so much food it made lunch the next day too. It is an east drive to both Florence and Sienna so it is ideal for a base for sightseeing. I would recommend Villa Tuscany to anybody and hope to return soon.

Magical place!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The rooms are large and clean, the kitchen has all the amenities, and the common areas outside the house are very comfortable. The house in general is extremely clean. We were 3 couples but there is enough room for 12 plus people. The location is excellent, as you are only 25 minutes from Florence and within 2 hours to all the greatest towns and wineries in Tuscany.

The views and sunsets from the gardens or pool area are to die for.

Yves, the owner is an incredible person, funny, interesting and warm.

Like many of his other guest we plan to return to his beautiful villa!

Perfect Italian Hospitality

  • 5 of 5

Before we walked through the doors of Villa Tuscany we felt a sense a peace. We arrived in Montespertoli prior to check in time so we drove through the town and found the center square filled with people mingling and enjoying the day. Our group had lunch at an outdoor café and then found a local grocery store

(referred to as the co-op) and picked up a few items. The center square gathering seemed to be a regular event as we found it busy during several visits.

The drive to the villa was a short one and after turning from the paved country road onto a gravel one the first thing we saw was the small vineyard with its rows of grapes ready for the upcoming harvest. Pulling up to the front the arched doors were open as if welcoming us, inviting us to come in.

Yves greeted us warmly and gave us the tour. He then left us to explore the grounds on our own. Each room was charming and unique with antique furniture and beautiful artwork. The villa is set up on a hill that overlooks the town and is the perfect setting for watching beautiful and colorful sunsets. The chiming of the local church bells can be heard in the morning and evening. There are several outdoor places to gather for meals, sipping wine and having good conversations. Or just day dreaming while admiring the view.

Yves has done a wonderful job of preserving the villa with its country charm but providing the modern comforts such as a remodeled easy to work in kitchen with a microwave convection oven, a side by side refrigerator freezer and a washer and dryer. Each room is equipped with an air conditioner but with the thick stone walls and having the screened shuttered windows open they are seldom needed. The linens are of good quality and sleep came quickly and deeply. There is a modern stereo with an expansive collection of CD's with different genres of music including jazz, classical and opera. Television is available in the living room along with a DVD player.

There are plenty of lounge chairs around the swimming pool and pool towels are provided in each room. The best surprise was the outdoor shower hidden in the middle of a thicket of bamboo.

Chef Carla prepared a spectacular meal for us one night. She set up tables outside under a string of lights between two trees and it was the perfect ending to a perfect day that was spent touring in Florence.

There is much more I can say but I don't want to give too much away! Experience it for yourself!

You Won't Believe It Until You Experience It

  • 5 of 5

Villa Tuscany exceeds expectations in every respect. You have to experience it to believe it. Whether an adult group or a family, the villa has something for everyone. Our family of eight (with two children, ages 8 and 11) had the most amazing stay and wanted for nothing in this beautiful villa. The pool was an especially welcome amenity for all of us, particularly the children. There was no better way to end each day of exploring a new Tuscan town than by sipping a glass of wine by the pool or on one of the many terraces and outdoor spaces. On top of all of that, the owner, Yves, is wonderful. He strikes the perfect balance between acting as a host and respecting your privacy. I encourage you to interact with him; my family and I loved his company. I could go on and on, but the setting, the location, the accommodations, the amenities, the ambience... all perfect. And then there is Carla, the chef. Have at least one meal prepared by her. You will not regret it (or forget it).

Enchanting Stay and Wedding Location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I selected Villa Tuscany as the location for our fall wedding, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The location was truly magical, with the stunning views, beautiful accommodations, and of course superb service from Yves. Our entire family stayed with us at the Villa and they were all very comfortable and impressed. I would recommend Villa Tuscany to anyone traveling to the Chianti region, especially if you are looking for somewhere to host a unique and intimate wedding. We will surely be back to celebrate an anniversary!
