Spanish Casa luxury home with 3 bedrooms all ensuite bathrooms & close to Mijas

Casa Albero is a luxury 3 bedroom house with all modern amenities on hand to make a fabulous family holiday. All bedrooms have luxury en-suite bathrooms or wet rooms in colours teamed with the bedrooms. The magnificent lounge overlooks the heated swimming pool and the mountains, as does the dining room adjoined by a stunning modern fitted kitchen. The kitchen is kitted out with NEFF appliances Hob, dishwasher, microwave, oven, integrated coffee machine plus an American Fridge Freezer with ice and water on tap. All designed to add the WOW factor to your holiday. In the lower floor is the Art Deco style Home Cinema Room with an extensive library of movies and a games room. The Games room is set up as an American Diner with bar, table, sofa (can be made up as a double bed), a pool table, a pinball machine, board games and juke box. Also there is a fourth luxury shower room and WC and a handy utility room fitted with washing machine, dryer and sink. The property has air conditioning or heating to all rooms operated by an energy saving Heat/Cooling Pump. For wintertime, there is solar powered underfloor heating and a wood burning stove to the lounge. The lounge has seating for 6, a large TV with access to most UK channels (IPTV), a DVD/Blu Ray player, HIFI and Wireless sound system which feeds the dining room and a portable speaker for inside or outside. Externally there is an extensive terrace for sun bathing or just relaxing by the swimming pool. Soft seating is under a pergola set in the garden and shade for relaxing whilst reading a book with a glass of wine. Also there is dining table for those alfresco meals, whilst chatting over a meal at the end of the day and watching the sun go down. Then there is a large portable Weber Kettle BBQ which can be wheeled into action for the BBQ dad's who wish to make a contribution to the cooking!

Why Bob Brittaine chose Mijas

In 2013 we decided to build a holiday home in the exclusive Voltacado Urbanisation near Mijas. The project was finished in July 2015 with gardens completed in September the same year. 2016 is our third season with this house and we do hope all enjoy this beautiful home and stunning location.

What makes this villa unique

A modern classical fully air-conditioned home set out in a contemporary style with all the modern fittings and facilities you only find in top luxury homes. This includes a home cinema room and an American style games room with pool table, jukebox and pinball machine in the ground floor. The heated swimming pool over looks the mountains and is set into a large open terrace with shading, where needed. Additionally, there's a large quiet shaded area in the gardens, for relaxing or just reading a book. The lounge opens onto the kitchen and dining room with great views to the mountains and down to the coast. The master bedroom with King size bed and guest bedroom with a Queen, also look out over the mountains. All bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms with the master bathroom having a walk-in shower. Under floor heating is provided for the winter and a wood burning stove in the lounge for an extra boost if needed.

The games room has a double sofa bed and is air-conditioned.

Really is a dream home!

I'd love not to leave this review so that not too many people know how wonderful Casa Albero is, but that would be unfair to the lovely owners, Bob & Denise, who really have created a dream home. We, and our 9 & 4 year old, had a truly fabulous holiday.

The villa is in perfect condition, immensely spacious, private, beautifully furnished & finished with every convenience & mod con you could wish for. The current photos, especially of the main bedroom do not remotely do it justice.

We were very lucky with the weather for what can be a dicey time of year (late Oct), but we enjoyed lots of sunshine & day temps in the late 20's/early 30's.

It's 8mins into Mijas Pueblo, which is charming & scenic: we loved it & had several meals there. We would book a taxi in advance online with taximijas.en. Only 9 euros into Mijas meaning we could both enjoy more than a glass of wine & choose from the numerous restaurants. We particularly like the service and quality of food at Peccati Di Gola, along with a stunning view down to the coast. The staff are top notch. (Yes it's an Italian but for a casual dinner with 2 travel weary children it ticked all the boxes for the 1st night). Aroma Secret Garden was also lovely, more so for the setting than food.

There are really too many positives to mention about Casa Albero, but some memory highlights:

-sipping a G&T watching the sun set over the most beautiful mountain views

-having a family diner & movie night :this is NOT a mediocre attempt at a home cinema: it's a proper cinema experience with reclining leather seats and incredible sound & picture quality

-a morning cuppa from the quality coffee machine whilst lying in bed watching the sun rise over the mountains directly opposite

-cooking up wonderful feasts in the superbly equipped kitchen whilst listening to the Sonos sound system & the sun streaming in via the balcony doors

One minor note..... if like us you specifically filter your Owners Direct results to only include properties with pool heating, you may find it a little cool from Oct - May. Bob was completely honest from the outset in advising us to expect pool temps of 25 deg. In reality we didn't realise how cool that would be. Only the children could get in: us 'grown ups' had no chance! The good news is Bob is installing an insulated cover soon, so it's worth checking with him that it's had the desired effect!

If you're booked to go : you lucky things! If you're thinking about booking - do it!!

A first class villa in a commanding location.

We stayed at Casa Albero for a week in mid October.

The property is exceptionally well presented and equipped with a fantastic kitchen dining area, superb bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms.

Views over the surrounding countryside are uninterrupted and the location on the edge of the development is very quiet and peaceful.

The swimming pool,games room and home cinema were a great hit with the kids, providing all day entertainment.

Would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone!

Superb quality in a stunning location

Excellent property with well-thought out layout and plentiful facilities capped off with a stunning view of the rugged landscape. Villa was clean and spacious with high quality fittings to satisfy every need, from the swimming pool next to gently swaying palm trees to the much frequented games room with a decent pool table and addictive pinball machine.

The American bar will make anyone feel they are a fully fledged bartender whilst serving drinks. The cinema room is a nice touch, especially being a movie buff as it gives almost the same experience a high scale cinema chain. You don’t even have to bring your own DVD’s or BluRay’s as there is a healthy selection to choose from. Kitchen design is exceptional, a centre island giving plenty of room to fit multiple people with a large and sturdy fridge / freezer.

Location is ideal for the explorer, within a comfortable driving distance to the main points of interest in Southern Spain including Mijas, Malaga, Marbella and even Gibraltar as well as large supermarkets in the area to stock up on food & drink. The owner does a nice touch of compiling a useful Guide of local towns and even recommends great restaurants to visit.

The marble floors give a luxurious feel as does the entire building, you can feel and experience the thought and care put into the property, and will come away with a favourable impression – I definitely recommend this property to anyone who would like a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle but close enough by car to fully immerse themselves in the Spanish experience.

Paradise with a view

Pulling up at the villa never disappoints. Been here a number of times as it is the ultimate place to relax. The facilities are second to none and provides the perfect environment to spend time with friends.

The view is amazing, especially at sunset when the mountains glow alongside a nice gin amd tonic or two!

The games room and cinema room provide great evening entertainment.

The best just got better

This was our second stay at the villa and it was even better than the first stay, this is no mean feat as it was perfection last time.

There is now a Sonos sound system which is perfect when placed next to the pool, spent too much time in the pool with a cold beer listening to music and snoozing.

We actually booked our third stay whilst waiting to board our flight back from Malaga.

Overall this place is superb and I wish I could retire and live there all year round.

Well Done Bob & Denise you should be very proud of your Spanish home.

Wow! What an amazing Villa !!

We have recently returned from an amazing stay at Casa Albero.

Everything was absolutely fantastic and of a very high standard.

The kitchen had lots of brilliant fittings and the fridge/freezer was out of this world, so big especially the awesome cold water and ice machine!!

We stayed in the Villa for a week at the beginning of October and the weather was fantastic! It was very sunny and hot!

The beds were very comfortable, so much so didn't want to get up some days!

There was so much to do in the villa like deciding what film to watch, spoilt for choice, and the 'Cinema Room'-Wow amazing the sound was out of this world!! (Well done Bob - Awesome!) We would watch a film with Popcorn and a beer followed by a game of Pool and a go on the Pinball machine.

Everything else was brilliant and it was so peaceful, a truly relaxing place to go.

We went to a Restaurant in Mijas, called Palangreros, which is absolutely fantastic. The choice of food is amazing and very well priced. If you decide to go, make sure you book in advance as it is very popular. Whilst we were there, a lot of people who just turned up had to be turned away!

Thankyou very much for allowing us to stay in your Villa and it was so relaxing! Everything was perfect and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This luxury house is situated in an exclusive urbanisation near the picturesque pueblo town of Mijas. In Mijas, only 7 minutes drive away there are plenty of restaurants, interesting shops and it is a delightful place to spend time browsing the shops, visiting the tiny bullring or museum and taking a leisurely lunch. Further away at some 20 minutes drive is Fuengriola where you will also find the 7 Km long sandy beach although less touristy beaches will be found by driving a further 10 minutes. The central location means you are not far from beaches, water parks, Selwo safari park, natural parks, botanical gardens, zoo and much more. Towns such as Marbella, Puerto Banus, Ronda, Granada and not forgetting Gibraltar are all close by. Although we strongly recommend a hire car for your stay, there is a regular bus service to local towns and connections to major bus routes.

For nightlife: Mijas or Fuengriola.

Golf: There are many golf courses in Andalucia. Some 10 minutes drive from the Villa is the Severiano Ballesteros designed course at Alhuarin.
