Really enjoyable family break!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely lodge in quiet cul de sac. A few minutes walk to all the sites amenities.

Ensuite and a bath in the family bathroom makes for a lot of flexibility when getting ready to go out (there is six of us!).

The electric tripped - notified reception and the electrician was at the lodge by the time I got back! Great staff all round the site!

The lodge came with entertainment passes - swimming was great - albeit busy over Easter with timed slots. The children's entertainment was good cheesy fun which the children loved! We didn't eat in the restaurants on site but the fish & chips at Mr Pinks (Milford) were great!

Great break!

Home from home

  • 5 of 5

The lodge was a real home from home. It was clean and very well equipped with everything we needed for a lovely family holiday.

The location at the end of the cul-de-sac was lovely and peaceful, although we also had half the street to ourselves as we stayed outside of the school holidays.

The site was very nice and we especially appreciated the swimming pool which was excellent and the gradual sloping design of the shallow end made it ideal for taking our two year old. Because of the time of year we did have the pool almost (and one occasion completely) to ourselves.

Communication from the very start was excellent so we always had the information we needed.

The local area was really nice and this was a great starting point to get to some fantastic places along the coast and in the New Forest.

Having said that, we did struggle to find a decent Fish and Chip shop that was open the day we wanted and could manage to get the order right........

We would definitely recommend this lodge for anyone looking for a really nice, well equipped family accommodation on a nice site in a lovely area of the country.

Beautiful lodge. Great location.

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in this beautiful lodge, we found it warm, cosy and extremely well equipped. The park itself was really nice with great facilities, the pool is lovely. This is an ideal place for exploring the new forest; just a short drive to the sea and lovely little towns and villages, the surrounding countryside is spectacular with plenty of wildlife to watch, ponies and cattle roam freely and birdwatchers must be in their element!

There are really nice bars and restaurants nearby including those on the park. local takeaways deliver to the park as well so there are plenty of options if you don`t feel like cooking. I will certainly be recommending this lodge to all my family and friends and we will DEFINITELY be going back!

Spacious, private lodge on family site with good amenities. A great base for days out.

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in this lovely lodge Aug 2016, as a family of six (Parents and four children ages 15, 10, 8, 7). This was our first stay in a lodge rather than a static caravan and we found we had so much more space. Bedrooms had proper beds in that had a good space between them, made up for our arrival. It was however, a little hot with just quilts and no sheet, it was the hottest week of the year. A shower room (ensuite) and bathroom with shower over bath, again both spacious and clean. The living area had comfy seating and an extendable table so we could sit together for meals. A fully equipt kitchen with everything you need to make meals and serve up. I did struggle with finding enough cupboard space for food as it is so well stocked! Full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven all lovely and clean and easy to use. Decking was private and enclosed (gates bot shut) with a little grass area below that the kids enjoyed playing on. It also had a picnic bench in addition to the seating on the decking. Has definitely converted us to lodges rather than caravans! Kitchen had plenty of cleaning products and a clothes airer which was great for drying out all the swimwear.

The location of the lodge is at the end on a road on the end plot next to hedges so it is lovely and quiet. A short walk to the club house, with evening entertainment which we enjoyed on the one night we went. It was too loud for our 8 yr old. Swimming is open a good amount of time, into the evenings which meant we could use the facilities as well as going out for the day. The indoor pool is not very deep at one end but then slops down round the corner to the deeper end. Family changing rooms, kept clean, with lockers to put the stuff in. Theres some 'spa' rooms, at the poolside, we didn't use as you have to be 16yrs old to use them. The outdoor pool was clean and had seating around. Our 7 and 8 year old could just touch the bottom in the shallow end. Our 15 year old liked collecting the tickets in the amusements, it had a good amount/range of machines she was never waiting long to get on one she wanted. We had ordered the food we needed from the local Tesco via click and collect before leaving home, so we didn't eat at the reastaurant but the food smelt delicious. Theres a spar shop on site with the normal site shop stuff, a little playpark for the younger ones and activities to take part in during the day if your interested. Far better site than some big named ones!

Very nice Lodge and a great break for us

  • 4 of 5

Excellent Lodge with all the facilities as described, only a small issue with the cleaning but soon resolved. Very much home from home.

Ideally located to explore the area, with one of the New Forest Tour buses stopping on site. Easy walk down to the beach and along the coast.

Plenty to see and do in the area and would certainly look at this again. All communications with the owner very professional and timely.

Thanks for a great holiday!

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your review and pleased that you enjoyed your stay in the lodge and around the local area. Sorry about the slight hiccup with the cleaners arriving to clean the lodge for a second time a few days early. Unfortunately they had put an incorrect changeover day in their diary.
