Puesta Del Sol is situated in the lively yet sophisticated town of Moraira with no high rise or resort hotels. There is a good range of bars, restaurants (everything from budget menu of the day to top quality international cuisine) and individual shops.

There are two supermarkets nearby including Pepe La Sal which has excellent meat and fish counters, a bakery, a good range of drinks and self service fruit veg and herbs.

The apartment is set in the beautiful secure complex of Moraira Club, is comfortably furnished and the 65sq meter enclosed private terrace is well set up for outdoor living. It has an awning to provide shade on hot summer days.

There is a good modern kitchen with everything you will need from a dishwasher to a coffee machine, an open plan living/dining area, a double and a twin bedroom, family shower room and an en suite bath/shower room with bidet. The master bedroom and sitting room both open out onto the terrace.

The apartment has hot and cold air conditioning. Also underfloor heating in both bathrooms.

The bedrooms and sitting room have electronically operated shutters.

Parking is available immediately outside the property.

The landscaped gardens boast a shared 20 by 15 metre pool with a spa area and there is a raised seating area by the pool ideal for watching the beautiful sunsets. Generally the pool is not busy.

Free Wi Fi is available in the apartment.

The lovely sandy beach in Moraira is safe for swimming and has a fun beach bar.

If you walk along the coast you will find other charming beaches.

Connections to Moraira from Alicante airport are easy. Car hire is inexpensive or you have the option of taxi or a regular bus service. The bus drops you a short distance from the apartment.

All bed linen is provided as are bath and beach towels. There are no hidden extras in our price structure and we are confident that we offer great value for money.

Puesta Del Sol has everything you need for a great holiday on your doorstep but if you choose to travel around you will find other costal towns nearby and charming villages inland. Suggested trips include waterfalls at Algar, beautiful iris and rose gardens, Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia water park and Mundo Mar and a large shopping centre at Ondarra. Jalon with its quirky Saturday flea market. Not forgetting Moraira's own market on a Friday morning.

I am John Pickles are retired chartered accountant with a passion for swimming. My first trip to Moraira was in 1963 and I have loved it ever since. I met my wife Karen on the beach at El Portet in the 1980's. We spend about half of the year in Spain at our inland property doing lots of work on our land. We grow table grapes, almonds and other fruit. We spend a good deal of time in Moraira enjoying the friendly cosmopolitan atmosphere and visiting other friends who also live in town.

We spend the rest of the year in the Channel Island of Guernsey.

Lovely apartment very comfortable like home from home

We had a great week, the apartment was comfortable and very secure. The kitchen is very well equipped and the aircon was much appreciated! The pool is lovely although you need to take your own chairs or loungers. The only drawback for us is that there is a busy road on the other side of the terrace which creates a lot of road noise this made it impossible for us to relax on the large terrace.

Brilliant find! Wonderful holiday, amazing apartment

We are so happy we booked this, the location was exactly what we wanted, absolutely perfect, we had a car but you could easily manage without. The walk into town is flat (not many like that around here) and less than 5 minutes.The apartment was perfect for us, clean, extremely well stocked and even had beach towels! The terrace is huge and perfectly safe for children. The only thing I would say is that it is situated next to a road which can be busy at times, you can't see the road unless you actually stand and look over, to be honest it didn't bother us at all and I could still happily read my book whilst lying on a sun lounger! The photos don't do this place justice, it really is modern, clean and very safe. Air-con throughout, we only used this at night as during the day we preferred to keep the huge patio doors open!

The pool area is wonderful, it is immaculate and had shallow areas for the children to stand and play on and also spa jets which you can operate yourself. I don't think there was ever more than about 5 people there! There is a lovely decked drinks terrace adjacent to the pool (you can take your own food and drinks there) We found everyone very friendly too. Communication with John was excellent and we felt reassured that we could call should we have any issues (we didn't)

We also had no problems with mosquitos, not sure if this is because we were away from the water and grassed areas?? whatever the reason we were pleased as kids didn't get bitten at all and hubby and I only once each! even when sitting on the terrace late evening we didn't worry about them.

I would just like to say this place was perfect for us, we have had a truly wonderful relaxing week and definitely going to book for next year. Sorry for long review!

Happy memories made.....

This was my first holiday on my own with my two sons age 7 & 4 years. Even though we have friends in Moraira to help I was still slightly anxious about it all. No need. Karen and John were really helpful leading up to our holiday. The apartment is amazing. Really high speck with fixtures & fittings, good quality linens and towels. Beach towels available too. Nice touches with bathroom soap/tea/coffee/washing tablets – the little things you don’t really think about but make a difference. Exceptionally clean. Really big, enclosed terrace that was great for the boys to play in. The pool and gardens are also very clean and tidy (took boys for evening swim when it was dark & pool is lit up – very exciting!!) Good location to town and beach. Many happy memories made – we will be back. Thank you.

Fabulous accommodation set in a beautiful complex with Amazing Pool!

The owners of Puesta del sol were incredibly friendly, polite and very helpful. The apartment was immaculate and much larger than we were anticipating. It was set in a wonderfully well kept complex and the pool and surrounding areas were just superb.....We will definitely be back soon!!!

We have recently bought this lovely flat as we fell in love with it at first sight. It has not been occupied until now and we have fully fitted it - so everything is new. Mainly, we love the gardens and the short walk to Town.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Alicante at 80 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : various at 300 Metres Nearest Golf : Club D'ifach at 10 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : AP7 at 14 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Royal Bhudda at 200 Metres Nearest Beach : Moraira at 600 Metres Car: recommended

PLEASE note that the doors all lock behind you; so have the keys with you at all times.

In the landscaped gardens there is a 15 x 20 metre pool with spa jet. The “garden gate” which leads directly to town is on the right hand side in the garden.

The centre of the village of Moraira itself is all of 350 metres away. It is a 6 minute amble to the sandy beach which is attended by life guards in the summer season.

There is good parking on the road outside the complex on CTRA Moraira - Teulada. All directions given are for walking unless otherwise stated.

The living space comprises;

Open-plan living-dining area with dining table and chairs, settees and tables.

Modern kitchen with fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, hob and oven and all the usual appliances, cutlery, crockery, glasses etc.

The master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath with shower, basin, WC and bidet) has direct access to the patio.

The twin bedroom is adjacent to the family bathroom featuring shower, basin and WC. Both bathrooms have under-floor heating.

The patio windows from the master bedroom and the sitting room have electronically operated shutters.

The terrace is 12 x 5.5 metres, secure for children and equipped with table, chairs and loungers.

The apartment is fully stocked with linen and towels of use in the apartment and gardens. It will be appreciated if when outside, and particularly around the pool area, only plastic glasses are used.

Getting there by road.

From the North; AP7 from Valencia, take the Benissa exit.

From the South; AP7 from Alicante, take the Benissa exit.

From the peage at the AP7 exit, follow the signs to Valencia and Teulada on to the N332. Continue 2kms to a roundabout. Exit right to Teulada, over the first roundabout, then there is a double roundabout. 2nd exit on the first part, then first exit up the main (dual carriageway) in Teulada. Keep right at the top of the dual carriageway and then down the hill towards Moraira on CV743. Continue to the supermarket Pepe la Sal on the left hand side. Take the second exit at the roundabout (the first is the Avenida de Madrid) into CTRA Moraira – Teulada. Moraira Club is on the right after 50m. The “front entrance” is the first metal gate. Use the blue key, turn right and proceed c30m to the entrance. The blue key opens the main door. Apartment 3 is to the left. The other key opens the door.

Air conditioning

With the panel closed you can set the on/off button and the temperature

Open the panel and find the mode selecting button on the left

On the screen:

Snowflake symbol means cooling only

Press once for water droplet symbol – reduced humidity

Press again four arrows in a square – auto mode

Press again for fan blade – fan only, no cooling or heating

And again for sun symbol for winter heating

The fan speed can be adjusted with the fan blade symbol and I IIII

In order for the air conditioning to operate it is necessary to keep all the doors and windows shut.

There are several banks on Avenida de Madrid (garden gate.)


Our favourite is La Cucuracha, on the left at the end of Avenida de Madrid, in the ‘square’ just beyond El Nid restaurant.The Red Lion is good for sports TV, on Avenida de Madrid on the right 200 yards before you get to the coast.


From the garden gate, walk down to town and turn right at the end of Avenida de Madrid for Moraira beach. There are other nice beaches along the coast.


There are two blinds in the sitting room, one in the master bedroom and one in the twin room. To the side of each is an “up arrow” and a “down arrow” for opening and closing.


We take a deposit against breakages which will be returned to you one week after your departure. You will not be charged for minor breakages but please leave a note on the dining table so that broken items can be replaced.

Call outs

We will endeavour to solve any problems as soon as possible via phone or email. Our local agent is available for call outs but there will be a charge for non-emergencies of €30 or €40 after 8pm and on Sundays.
