Beautiful cottage in a lovely area

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is set in a very quiet area everything you need in a holiday cottage. There are plenty of National Trust and other places of interest nearby. The cottage itself was well equipped and clean. Neil and Phillips made us very welcome and it was like staying with friends. We look forward to staying here again.

An absolute gem

  • 5 of 5

A lovely cottage, providing everything you need. Lovely walk in shower and REN products. Fresh eggs, milk and bread were waiting for us when we arrived - very nice.

There is also a large secure field which our dog loved running around in.

We enjoyed some lovely walks and visited the surrounding area and local pubs (nearest one 5 minutes away), all were dog friendly.

Phillipa and Neil made us feel very welcome and we would definitely recommend this cottage and would have no hesitation in returning.

Thank you

Beautiful accommodation - a perfect stay!

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this accommodation was superb - we stayed in the Old Stables which has literally just been converted into a stunning new accommodation. The owner Philippa, is friendly and really helpful and helped ensure we got the most from our stay with great recommendations.

The accommodation is very peaceful and quiet and very well appointed with what has obviously been careful thought into every aspect of each room and the bed was very comfortable with crisp white linen. You are within walking distance to a lovely local dog friendly pub and a short distance from other great pubs, you have walks from the doorstep and the fabulous Bewl Water is a short drive away.

We loved our stay here and would certainly highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break and a home away from home! We will be back soon!

Enjoyed the cottage and the local area, sampling a couple of the pubs but largely just relaxing in the very comfortable cottage. Phillipa and Neil were excellent hosts and we'd definitely go back!

Cosy Kent Cottage

  • 5 of 5

What a fabulous cottage in a wonderful location, some wonderful walks, local forests and easy access to some good village pubs. Very well appointed cottage with many essential items, adding some touches of luxury, Egyptian cotton bed linen, beautiful fluffy white towels, Ren products, log burning stove, fresh hen eggs, homemade bread and jam, this owner really takes pride in her cottage making the stay a real pleasure.

I was reluctant to write a review as I wanted to keep this gem to myself, as we will definitely will be returning. Great communication throughout the booking, our dog was very welcome, extremely helpful and deserving of success.

Small but beautifully formed welcoming cottage

  • 5 of 5

A luxurious bathroom and bedroom added to the overall charm of the cottage. The bed and bedding was of such high quality that it was wonderful to go up after being out all day.

The cottage is in an ideal area for so many areas of interest and visiting Hever castle, Chartwell and Rye were just some of the delights close to hand.

Phillipa was very welcoming with tips on places to visit but never intrusive and we were invited to help ourselves to veg and fruit from the vegetable garden - thank you for the apples, broad beans and apples we partook of Phillipa as well as the welcoming eggs, bread and jam that were waiting for us on our arrival.

We feel the cottage fully deserves five stars - we had a great time!
