Lovely cosy cottage for two!

  • 4 of 5

Stayed here for 2 nights over New Year. Lovely cottage with all the essentials you need for a short break. The wood burner as a real asset and made it feel all the more cosy. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed several days at the Old Stables and the remaining days at the Poulhurst cottage. Both cottages had it owns charm and stocked with all the essentials. Pictures do not do each one any justice! Philippa was an incredible host and available whenever needed, yet was never intrusive. The location was just perfect and exactly what we were looking for, a calm, quiet, and peaceful retreat. I would definitely return! I miss the scent of logs burning! Thank you Philippa!

Absolutely wonderful

  • 5 of 5

We spent ten days in this delightful little cottage in Kent, driving out to visit all manner of churches and old houses and gardens. The location was perfect. The cottage itself is extremely comfortable, with the large bedroom and ultra modern bathroom upstairs and a kitchen/sitting room downstairs. It's very well equipped with almost every convenience you can think of. And then there is Philippa herself, who has to be the nicest host in the world. She spoiled us with fresh eggs from the hens, invitations to help ourselves to fresh veggies from the garden and even a bottle of red wine from a day trip she made to France while we there. We also loved our visits from Mabel, Philippa's little dog, who pottered in to see us on a regular basis. All in all I don't think you could go past this cottage for a weekend break or a longer stay. Thank you Philippa!
