Great property, spotlessly clean and superbly equipped. Excellent outside kitchen too.

  • 5 of 5

This villa was excellent and in a great location. Walkable to the local village for morning baguettes, the local market and evening meals for which there are plenty of restaurants. The villa was clean and very comfortable with a great pool. Although we thought the pool small at first we had a fantastic time in it with our 8 and 10 year old boys who are real water lovers. I believe the pool is being replaced with a larger one for next year so the villa will be even better. There is an outside table tennis table and boule set also available. I think the best thing about this villa is the outside kitchen and dining area with most of the amenities you'd have in a normal kitchen; gas hob, fridge freezer, sink, kettle along with a plancha and gas BBQ. The facilities inside the villa were also of a very high standard with great showers, comfy beds and a utility room.

We were welcomed upon arrival and had been supplied with our basic supplies to see us through the evening (wine, meat for the BBQ, salad, bread etc and an amazing selection of cheese from the owner's brother who is a local cheese producer). We were also spoilt with some wonderful figs from the owner's family too during our visit.

Location wise, it is great for getting to Lake St Croix and the Gorges of Verdon and also not far for a day trip to St Tropez or the many beaches of the French Riviera.

Excellent villa with great facilities and great location

  • 5 of 5

We had one week in the villa in August. the owners were waiting on arrival and were very friendly and showed us around the property. It is very spacious and well equiped and was clean and as described. We were particularly impressd with the following features

The outside kitchen was great given the weather and we were able to sit outside a lot to eat. In addition the pool was well maintianed and warm given the great sunshine we had all week. The villa itself had large bedrooms and the great bonus was full air conditioning throughout the villa which was great given how hot it was outisde. There was a large TV in the lounge (although we couldn't work out how get uk tv except world news), and great lazyboy settee which the kids loved. Great wifi aswell which was a lifesaver for the ipads.

The location was great in that it was quiet but within an easy 10 minute walk in to town which had several restaurants and small shops and a fantastic patisserie which we would recommend called patisserie Gagenpain.

All in all an excellent weeks holiday and we would recommend and return again ourselves.

Thanks.

Excellent villa ideally place in the area.

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time we had travelled to France and we could not have had a better Villa and Villa owners. We arrived early, Helene and Christian worked to allow us in as soon as possible.

The Villa had all the amenities required with an excellent fitted kitchen and equipment. The air conditioning was a blessed relief as the temperatures topped 37 degrees. It was nice having three lovely sized bedrooms and three showers.

The pool area was great and we had ample seating for our party of 6. It was appreciated having ample parking with the Locking gates adding security.

We would recommend this Villa with no reservations.

Tips for the local area:

Remember mosquito spray.

The Patisserie (Artisan) in Flayosc has cakes to die for and the assistant was great with helping with the French.

Buy your wine from the local wine Cooperative on the way to Draguigan.

Try the Lorgues market on Tuesday's.

Would recommend going into Draguigan and visiting the Church.

Definitely this is a Five Star villa.

Excellent villa in beautiful surroundings

  • 5 of 5

Superb holiday!

We received a very warm welcome from Hélène and Christan on arrival at the villa also they thoughtfully provided breakfast so we didn't have to worry about shopping immediately after such a long journey.

The house is comfortable and very well equipped, with lots of lovely personal touches.

The suggestions of places to see was very much appreciated and we visited many of them.

It's obviously one of the most beautiful areas of France and the villa is perfectly situated for daily walks to buy fresh food in Flayosc and particularly to visit the patisserie! The surrounding area has too many amazing places to visit in one holiday and tempts you to come back again and again.

Coast/Beach:

The Riviera is only a short drive away - St Maxime, St Raphael, Cannes, Antibes amongst many other Mediterranean towns and villages. Of course St Tropez is also easily accessible - but remember to take a water taxi from St Maxime in the summer months to avoid the traffic jams to this popular resort situated on a peninsula! Don't forget that there are also beaches at Lac St Croix which are much quieter and just as good if not quite as glamorous as the Côte d'Azur!

Travel:

The villa is easily accessed by air (Nice 90 kms, Toulon 79kms and also Marseille), TGV train (Les Arcs-Draguignan - 15kms) and by road (Junction 36 at Le Muy, A8). Car hire is advisable if you wish to take advantage of all of the wonderful villages, the Gorges du Verdon and the coast. However, the village with a huge variety of shops and services is only 15 minutes by foot so visitors may be self sufficient without transport.

Distances:

The lovely village of Tourtour is 13 kms drive. Les Arcs with its lovely medieval quarter is 15 kms. The fantastic Gorges du Verdon is less than one hour away. Avignon and its famous bridge is a 2 hour drive.

Further Details:

The village is well equipped with 2 small supermarkets, fresh fish shop, butcher, delicatessen,2 bakers, chemist, 3 doctors, a dentist, bank, post office, gift shops, 4 bars 2 of which serve food and (at last count) 8 restaurants! A famous truffle restaurant is to be found in a nearby village 15 minutes' drive away. The local town of Draguignan is only 8kms away and has large supermarkets and a variety of shops. Provençal markets are held in the local villages almost every day of the week: Monday Flayosc, Tuesday Lorgues, Wednesday Draguignan, Thursday Bargemom, Friday Le Luc en Provence, Saturday Aups and Draguignan amongst many others. Flayosc is ideally situated half way between the spectacular Gorges du Verdon and the sophisticated Mediterranean coast. From here you can easily visit Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Antibes, St Tropez, Marseille and the wonderful cities of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Orange are accessible too.
