This luxurious property has five bedrooms upstairs which can accommodate up to 12 people. One room has a large balcony where a morning coffee can be enjoyed.

The property enjoys 3 reception rooms, one of these is a gamesroom which can also be used as a bedroom for extra guests.

The living room has an open fire and is a bright sunny room.

The games room is supplied with an abundance of board games, dvd's and a Wii.

The outstanding kitchen mixes contemporary living being fully equipped for even the largest of groups and period style eating area with fire, tv, etc. This allows the chef to join in the fun. The large dining table can seat the full party.

The house is surrounded by grassed, mature gardens and a large triple towered play frame for the children.

The highlight of the garden is the outdoor heated Courtyard.

You can enjoy a drink even on the coldest nights whilst joining in the fun in the Hot Tub. In the new Spa room you can hang up your robe and enjoy a sauna.

The house has 3 en-suite bedrooms and 1 large family bathroom enjoying a roll top bath and double shower and a cloakroom toilet down stairs.

About David Jackson

David and Fiona have been together for 17 years. David is originally from Carlisle, whilst Fiona is from the small island of Tiree in the Hebrides.

We have 6 Children, Lauren is 25, Danielle is 20, Lewis is 17, Joshua is 9, Tilli is 5 and last but not least, Alexa-Rose is 3!! Its always a full house at ours!

David's main job has always been in news paper printing until recently and Fiona enjoyed Teaching primary school children before her own came along. Lauren now enjoys being a office manager for the financial services whist Danielle works full time for the family guest house Business. Lewis has just done amazingly with his GCSE's gaining 10A*s and the rest are tiddlers at primary school enjoying a care free life.

Why David Jackson chose Carlisle & North Cumbria

This property was previously a gentleman's residence and latterly became a school. It was refurbished in 2000 to become a family home. Since moving from Spain years ago, we needed a property big enough for our ever growing family. This was perfect!

What makes this cottage unique

The property's main feature is it's central position in the town. Everything is a stones throw away and yet inside you are a world away from outside. There are many original period features with stunning fireplaces and a magnificent oak ceiling adorns much of the ground floor.

The garden can also be claimed as amazing. the children have huge areas to run around and electric automated gates keep them secure from the outside world. The hot tub and sauna and enclosed private heated courtyard which are new additions must be seen to be appreciated.

Fabulous House - Ideal for a Family Get-Together

We arrived at the house on 21st December 2016 for a family Christmas get-together. On arrival we were absolutely delighted with the tasteful standard of the decor and furnishings, in addition to which it was beautifully decorated with Christmas trimmings. There were 12 of us altogether plus 2 dogs (age range from 80 to 20) and there was plenty of room for sleeping, leisure and car parking. The owners have really thought about everything and we felt very much at home. The house is very warm and cosy. The hot tub and sauna were amazing.

Dave, the owner, called in to see us on our second day to check that we were happy with everything – which we were. He is so friendly and explained the history of the house to us, which was very interesting

The village of Brampton is beautiful. Lovely shops and nice cosy pubs. The Scotch Arms pub across the road from the house is lovely.

There is a lovely walk in some woods just 5 minutes from the House and a short drive away we found Hadrian’s Wall and walked to the Sycamore Tree with stunning views of the countryside.

If you book this beautiful house you won’t be disappointed!

Will definitely be returning and recommending it to others.

Lovely property, well equipped and very homely

My friends and I along with our children enjoyed a weekend at the house. It is spacious and in a great location. The hot tub and sauna was ace and the kids loved the play area, a really nice property

Brilliant family holiday

A fantastic homely house with plush large bedrooms and a large kitchen where all the family (14 of us) could enjoy an early Christmas dinner. The kids loved every minute and the hot tub was a treat. Dave was brilliant and we would love to stay again in the future.

An Excellent House for a get together.

The house is generously proportioned with large rooms and a fabulously well equipped kitchen. I was looking for a house that we could all meet up at and people could could come and go throughout the weekend. This house had something for everyone, somewhere to chill, somewhere to party and somewhere to reflect. Perfect! I am sure we will return in the future.

Fantastic luxury propery - homely, warm & friendly

There were 10 adults in our party, the property was great, the kitchen diner is the real star, along with the hot tub and sauna - very luxurious and relaxing. The property is well located - across the road is a pub and the main shopping area is a two minute walk. Talkin tarn country park is a few minutes drive away and is well worth a visit. Carlisle is only 10 miles away. Plenty to do and see. Because the house is set back from the main road and is fenced it feels remote enough to relax and get away from it all - whilst being a stones throw away from all the convenience when needed. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly - extremely responsive and happy to help. Would definitely recommend and will be planning to visit again - but will bring the kids next time as they'd love the play park in the garden.

exceeded our expectations!!

We had a surprise birthday weekend for 9 adults and 4 children and the owner, David Jackson, couldn't have been more helpful in attending to our reqirements. The house itself is beautiful with a stunning kitchen/dining area for the adults in the evening. We had 13 of us in this area for long periods and there was ample space for cooking while everyone was having fun with the kids. The kids also played in either of the two separate rooms just off the kitchen and were kept entertained with supplied toys, TV and dvds. Our bedroom was perfect for my family of four, plenty of room, very clean and well appointed, the en-suite bathroom was spacious with a great shower. All the rooms were spacious and easily accomodated 13 of us.

The town itself is ideal for us to wander through wity lovely pubs/cafes to visit. Overall an excellent couple of days, no negatives at all.

I'll definately be back at some point, it's the perfect property and location for large numbers of all ages.

We are located very close to Hadrian's Wall with many forts to be visited just a few minutes drive away. These can also be walked to. The Border City of Carlisle with it's majestic castle is a place not to be missed. Gretna Green has its famous shopping outlet, recently extended and of course is the most popular place in the world to be married. This too is a short 15 minute away.
