About the property

3 bedroomed, 2 bathroomed large house with terraces and private pool. Wi-fi

Casa Annabella has been restored over the last ten years, it is our home from home. We have tried to maintain the character of the Finca and keep it traditional in style. A large house with three good sized bedrooms, two doubles and one twin.

One large double with en suite and twin bedroom and separate bathroom on the first floor leading out onto a large enclosed terrace with under cover seating area. Views across the olive groves.

The second floor has one double bedroom a large kitchen and living room leading out to the upper terrace and out onto the pool area. The pool is walled and surrounded by olive trees.

There are many places to relax around the house and the terraces are large and private. The pool is 1.4 meters deep throughout and has Roman Steps it is surrounded by a large tiled terrace with sunbeds. It is maintained by our local management team.

Take a walk through the olives on one of the many tracks around the hillside. Visit the local village of Fuentes De Cesna and enjoy Tapas or walk down to the old village and enjoy the stunning views of the lake. Please note that there are no views of the lake from the house!

Iznajar is a 20 minute drive away a beautiful white village siiting on the edge of the lake. There is a beach and watersports here with a beach bar and restaurant. Many typical Spanish bars and restaurants if you want to enjoy a day or evening out. A beautiful restored church sits at the top of the hill and there is a really quaint Blue bar next to the churchyard which is a must to visit.

Algarinejo is also a 20 minute drive away, another typical Spanish village where you can enjoy Tapas with every drink! Really friendly people, market day on a Saturday and a well stocked Supermarket.

The house is large and has many seating areas so even with 6 people sharing there is plenty of room.

The mountain roads up to the property are very good and there is a short track which then leads to the house. There is no problem with access. There is plenty of parking space and a carport and the house is not overlooked in any way.

In the months of July and August the large communal pool in the village is the place to be, food is available all day and evening.

There is a beautiful courtyard downstairs which has a covered area overlooking the Olive Groves.

The kitchen is traditional Andalucian style and is basic but functional.

It has a large calor gas cooker with oven, fridge freezer, toaster and is equipped for six.

The living room has comfortable sofas a dining table and TV with DVD player. The WiFi is unlimited.

  • The en suite bathroom is equipped with a large walk in shower, bidet, wash basin and toilet. Hot water is supplied by an electric boiler. There is also a washing machine. The second bathroom comprises of a walk in shower wash basin and toilet. Hot water is supplied by gas boiler. Towels are supplied and changed weekly.

Linen is provided and changed once a week.

The house is perfect for a relaxing, getaway from it all holiday. Ideal if you want to sample the typical Spanish way of life. Tapas are still served with every drink! The local people are friendly and helpful and most work with the Olives.

Just returned from a lovely holiday in one of the quietest spots I've had the good fortune to visit.

A charming and sensitively restored farm-house set amongst the olive groves. Really enjoyed the pool and having several different spaces in which to sit worked very well as we were a mixed party stretching three generations. Terry and Anne who live down the track went out of their way to be extremely helpful and kind. Thank you.

Lovely - all we wanted in an Andalucian holiday home

Beautifully situated in the olive groves, with a view to - more olives. Quiet except for the occasionally passing farm vehicles and the people on the neighbouring farms. There were barking dogs on some of the neighbouring farms, but too far away for the noise to bother us. Several private terraces, and a great pool. Makes all the difference on a hot summerday. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We really appreciated the well assorted start package of groceries. It was nice, as we arrived late. The caretakers Ann and Terry were very attentive. Because of a local drought we were unfortunately without water for two periods of 36 hours. We managed with large water bottles pre-filled by the caretakers - should the situation occur. It did!, but this did not spoil our holiday. We would not hesitate coming back.

A lovely house and pool

Really nice house and made so great by the care of Terry and Ann who were looking after the house (and us!). There were some niggles. For such an expensive house compared to several local properties, the level of equipment was poor. For example, there was no microwave or dishwasher. There was not even a food processor or juice extractor or trays. Most of the supplied items were of generally poor quality - the saucepans were mostly of thinner steel than the tins emptied into them.

Owner's Response: We are always happy to hear our guests enjoy the house and pool. Our aim is for people to enjoy our house as we do. As it is a large house with three good sized bedrooms and lots of outdoor space it can easily accommodate 6 people and we feel the price is fair. In trying to keep the kitchen traditional it doesn't have all the 'mod cons' such as dishwasher, microwave etc. and we advertise as a basic but functional kitchen, we feel that it is part of its charm. We will look at the quality of the utensils and upgrade if we feel is necessary. We are always happy to answer any questions any future guests have before their stay, please feel free to contact us. Secluded, beautiful olive groves, lovely pool, bit of tlc on interior needed

Beautiful location if you're looking for secluded and authentic Spain.

Unfortunately the bedrooms and bathrooms were very basic and tatty looking

The interior doors downstairs were difficult to use as they constantly got stuck on the floors.the bedlinen and pillows had seen better days.

The sitting room and kitchen are lovely. As is the outside of the Finca and the pool, kept beautifully.

Unfortunately this is a valley and working area for the Olive grove owner who has dogs that broke the peace with their continued barking 4-5 times per day and night.if you have dogs you won't be bothered but through the otherwise silent air this began to grate on me and feel it only fair to warn people of.

The area is fantastic the views across the Olive Groves are stunning which we enjoyed daily though you cannot view the lake from the property as it's a 15 minute drive away.

With a creative mind and more focus on the guests experience rather than a home from home outlook I feel this would be a fabulous retreat and place to stay and recommend to others with 5 stars.

Owner's Response: We have taken on board these comments and improved where we thought improvement is needed although we have always tried to keep the house in the traditional Andalucian style and therefore it is basic, functional and comfortable, it is not a villa. We just love it so much we wanted to share it with people who enjoy the countryside. The position of the house in the Olive Groves first attracted us to it when we bought it in 2005 and it is part of its charm. A very attractive old farm house in rural Spain with pool and peace and quiet.

This is a very attractive house in rural Spain about an hour from Malaga inland and an hour and twenty minutes from Granada. After a lot of searching we were pleased to find this house for a quiet week with our 3 teenage kids to relax by a pool with some great views. This house did not disappoint. It was actually more attractive than the photos if that's possible. There's several patio spaces to have a quiet drink or read or take in the view. The teenagers made plenty of use of the wifi and the pool area. I thought this house good value for money and would certainly consider booking again for a week.

Wonderful place to relax.

Fantastic secluded location nestled in the Olive groves. Very well maintained outside areas and beautiful pool. The house is well equipped with a friendly feel. Good internet reception to keep the teenagers happy. Plenty to see in the local area. We visited all the local towns, but particularly enjoyed visiting Montefrio, Priego de Córdoba and Alvear bodega in Montilla.

Casa Annabella is a rural Finca ideal for a get away from it all holiday. The village of Fuentes de Cesna is a 10 minute drive away, this is a typical Spanish village with several bars, a bakery and grocery shops. The small towns of Algarinejo and Iznajar are a 20 minute drive away, here there are banks with cash machines, many bars and restaurants and shops and a small supermarket. There are many places to visit within a 50 km radius. Granada with its beautiful Alhambra Palace is an hour or so drive. Surrounded by beautiful countryside Casa Annabella is the perfect base for exploring real Andalucia. Visit Ronda, Antequera, Cordoba, Monte Frio, Priego de Cordoba to name just a few or relax and unwind around the fabulous pool amongst the olives.

When the sun goes down relax with a glass of wine and watch the stars and the fabulous Milky Way!

The Finca is set amongst the olives and is quiet but not miles from anywhere. The local village and small towns are easily accessible. The mountain roads are well maintained and easy to drive on. There are local markets weekly where you can buy fresh vegetables and fruit and the towns of Archidona and Rute have large supermarkets if you want to stock up for your time at the house. Many of the local towns and villages have Fiestas during the year.

The village of Fuentes De Cesna has a pool complex with bar and changing facilities which is open July and August, you can stay for the day and enjoy drinks and tapas at very reasonable prices. the people are really friendly.

The house is situated amongst the olive groves and there are several working farms around so you may see the occasional tractor trundling by or the farmers pruning and tending to the Olive trees.
