fabulous

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from Ireland and loved our stay at this cozy cottage. The location is superbe, right on the water and the Causeway walk. The scenery is outstanding. Ballintoy Harbour is adorable! The cottage is well equipped and although the kitchen was small, I was able to cook all meals for my family of five quite well. We ate out once in Portrush at Adelphi which has a large selection of gluten free foods which we unfortunately need. We greatly enjoyed our stay and the cottage was perfect. The kids loved being on the water with a beach at our steps. You can walk from this cottage to the Giants Causeway in about one hour. The Carrick a Rede bridge is only a 30-45 minute walk away. I highly recommend walking as much of the causeway walk as you can. The Causeway rambler (bus) can take you back however far you get. All the sites (Giants causeway, Carrick a rede Bridge, Dunluce Castle etc) are a must.

Magical Place

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful, well-equipped cottage on the sea shore. Perfect home base for numerous attractions up and down the coast, and the perfect place to relax. Gorgeous area, friendly hosts (we never met them, but e-mailed and spoke on the phone). We hope to be back one day, and will remember our visit with fondness for the rest of our lives.

Loved it here!

  • 5 of 5

Just spent a week at O'Rourke's Cottage in Ballintoy Harbour and wish we had more time there!

It is a great location from which to see many of Northern Ireland's prime attractions. There's also plenty to do and see right out your front door. Lovely sandy beach, hikes to Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge to the East, White Park Bay (fabulous beach) to the West. The sunroom at the top of the property was deluxe for the spectacular sunsets we experienced, the charcoal BBQ a treat, and plenty of space to call your own.

Turlough is a very thoughtful host...he left us fruit, milk, bread, butter and other basics in case we were not able to stock up before landing. There was wine in the rack, and teas and coffee in the cupboard. Internet is fast and there's lots of channels on the TV (if that's your pleasure).

All in all we had a great time in Northern Ireland thanks to Turlough and his generosity.

Highly recommended and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Cheers!

One of the best vacation rental locations ever!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had an amazing visit. The photos don't do it justice! The setting is fantastic with the beautiful beachfront location and the quaint village. We were In the perfect location to visit Giants Causeway, the rope bridge, Dunluce castle and dark hedges. We had fires each evening and had fantastic walks exploring the coast. We loved watching the sheep in the hills behind. We will definitely try to return someday!

Amazing Location

  • 4 of 5

We spent a week here with family. Lovely property right on the sea front, breathtaking scenary, perfect location and plenty of beach and cliff walks for the dogs. Lisa and Turlough very helpful, the property very well heated for cold November Nights and Days...We also had a perfect afternoon tea in the sunroom with uninterupted views of North Atlantic ....and of course Lordsport and the Island of Pyke !!.. A place for all seasons.

Stunning location would be tough to beat.

  • 5 of 5

Stayed with my wife three kids and dog. Had a great time in this cosy cottage. Brilliant gardens and elevated garden summer house with views over the boiling seas, rocks and harbour area. Generally well equipped clean and tidy. Kitchen area a bit small to cook a meal for five but I knew this before going. Bally castle close by has great butchers and supermarket so you don't have to travel far. Loved watching the game of thrones enthusiasts on the beach doing cosplay. Cakes at the harbour cafe are supberb and you can take them away! Would recommend this cottage as long as you like the outdoor life but is also cosy at night to stay in beside the real fire burining with peat. Good walk to white park bay to see the beach cows.
