A purpose built fully serviced duplex apartment in the picturesque resort of Les Arcs 1950 in the French Alps. Built in 2003 by Intrawest the creators of Whistler in Canada, it forms part of the Les Arcs 1950 village. Les Arcs is part of the Paradiski ski area which links to La Plagne creating a vast ski area to enjoy for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Les Arcs is within easy reach from major airports such as Chambery, Lyon and Geneva. Eurostar runs a winter service to the nearby station of Bourg-Saint-Maurice. If you choose to drive then there is secure underground parking.

The apartment is situated on the 4th floor at the top of the Hameau du Glacier building. Hameau du Glacier has a welcoming reception area with a 24 hour reception desk.

The apartment comfortably sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms with the facility to accommodate an extra 2 people in the lounge on a double sofa bed.

On the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen/dining/living area over looking the slopes and mountains. Outside there is a small balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy the views. The small fitted kitchen contains dishwasher, electric hob, full size larder fridge and microwave oven. All cutlery and crockery are provided Free laundry facilities can be found in the basement of the apartment block. The dining area seats 6 comfortably, additional seating is provided to seat 8. The lounge area has seating for 6 including a double sofa bed for extra guests. There is an open fireplace as a feature giving the apartment a homely feel. There is a TV with both English and French channels and a DVD player should you wish to spend your evenings relaxing watching a movie. The property is connected to free Wi-Fi.

On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with doors leading out onto the balcony. This bedroom overlooks the village and slopes. Next door is a bathroom with an enclosed shower, basin and heated towel rail. There is also a separate toilet on the ground floor.

On the first floor there are two further bedrooms. One twin/double ensuite with bath with shower over the bath and heated towel rail. This room can be used as a super kingsize bedroom or the beds can be divided to make two twin beds making it very versatile depending on the makeup of your ski party. There is a further twin bedroom. All bedrooms come with storage for clothes and built in wardrobes. These two bedrooms are at the top of the building so they have great views of the mountains.

Access to the apartment is via a lift which serves all the floors including the underground car park, free communal laundry facilities and ski locker rooms.

The apartment has free access to all the other facilities including sauna/gym and swimming pools within Hameau du Glacier and Prince des Cimes buildings.

All bed linen and towels are provided and a welcome pack will be included in your rental.

Sorry we don't accept pets and our apartment is non smoking.

We are a group of friends who decided to buy a ski apartment together. Over the years we have had a lot of fun skiing together both on and off the slopes. All of our children have learnt to ski in Les Arcs through the ski school and are all now accomplished skiers. We enjoy all that Les Arcs has to offer from the excellent guaranteed snow to the après ski.

Comforatble and easy stay in Les Arcs 1950. Lovely Apartment and great skiing.

We were so lucky with our stay, lots of snow and sunshine every day. The ski area of Les Arcs is vast and we enjoyed a great day's skiing in La Plagne as well.

Les Arcs1950 is definitely the most attractive of the Les Arcs stations. The apartment was clean, cosy and suited our family needs. It was well equiped, the bed linen and towels were of nice quality. Beds comfortable, goood bathrooms with lots of hot water.

The building the apartment is in was very nice and the reception were most helpful. The building is well placed in the village and the ski in/ski out was just PERFECT.

We had a really good meal at the 'Mazot', enjoyed Arc 1950's bars after skiing. We had a great night out at the Bowling Alley in Arc 2000.

The parking system was effortless.

The communication with the owners was easy, all the directions/instructions were clear and efficient.

We had a really good stay and would recommend this apartments to others for it's ease to stay in and for it's suitation.

Great location, lovely accommodation and a great owner.

There were 6 of us staying and the accommodation was perfect for the group. We had a tea coffe and pastries waiting on arrival which was above touch. The owner has been great in keeping us updated and very helpful throughout.

This is my second time back to Les Arcs and first time staying in 1950 and loved it!

Location

We bought this apartment with friends when the resort first opened in winter 2003/2004. The location is perfect. The apartment over looks the slopes so you can watch from the comfort of your apartment people skiing by. Les Arcs 1950 has a lovely alpine village atmosphere with all amenities within metres of the apartment. No need to get into a car! The skiing is superb, ski from the locker room straight to the nearest chair lift within minutes. A vast ski area called the Paradiski links to other areas including La Plagne via the Vanoise Express cable car. There is plenty of skiing for all levels from beginners to advanced. Ski school and crèche facilities are all in the resort so a great resort for young families. Les Arcs is a high resort so great for spring skiing too. Les Arcs is well connected to all the major airports including Chambery, Lyon, Geneva and Grenoble. Ben's Bus runs a good transfer from all the regional airports. Eurostar runs a direct winter service from London to Bourg-Saint-Maurice if you want to travel by train. The transportation up the mountain from Bourg- Saint- Maurice ranges from funicular, bus or taxi. If you choose to drive to the resort then there is secure underground parking underneath the apartment at an additional cost.

Les Arcs 1950 is situated in the French Alps in the Paradiski area. A vast varied ski area with 425 km of piste available linked to Peissey Vallandry and La Plagne via the Vanoise Express cable car. The resort is for all levels of skiers and snowboarders from beginners to advanced. Plenty of activities available including ski school, cross country skiing and parapenting. The resort is open for winter and summer seasons.

In winter it is a purpose built ski in/ski out resort with all facilities including bars, restaurants, supermarket, swimming pools, luxury health spa and shopping within walking distance. The resort is pedestrian friendly with secure underground parking on site.

In the summer there are many activities available including walking to kayaking to white water rafting.

Les Arcs 1950 is a family friendly resort with something for all ages.

From the Owner

The views from the property are stunning, from one bedroom there are views of Mont Blanc. Other activities, if you want a break from skiing are available, including the choice of an indoor or outdoor pool, gym, sauna and luxury spa facilities. There is a convenient downstairs locker room to keep all your ski equipment in, which is metres from the slopes. The village has a range of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. There are several places to hire ski and snowboarding equipment. The resort is linked to Les Arcs 2000 via a free cabriolet which runs into the evening so you can use the facilities of Les Arcs 2000 easily, which include bars, restaurants and indoor ten pin bowling. The village and apartment are all tastefully designed with an alpine theme typical of the Savoie region. The village is fully pedestrianised so very user friendly. There is a well stocked supermarket and bakery should you decide to eat in. In the village there are medical facilities should the need arise. Les Arcs 1950 is also open in the summer season in July and August. The resort takes on a whole different look without the snow and opens up a variety of activities. The activities range from walking, climbing, kayaking, white water rafting, parapenting, mountain biking and many more, all with the stunning backdrop of the Alps.
