About the Owner

We are Mike and Cheryl Cran who own the house. We lived in Edinburgh when we were first married but left over 20 years ago because of our jobs.

We love Edinburgh and fell in love with this house as soon as we saw the stunning views.

We use it whenever we can between short term lets and trust you will enjoy its beautiful location in the heart of the city and all that Edinburgh has to offer as much as we do every time we visit.

We live 400 miles away and so have an Edinburgh host, Angela.

Our profile photo was taken in July 2015, just after we moved into the house and staying in Edinburgh while supporting our daughter playing Lacrosse for Scotland in the Under 19s Lacrosse World Championships.

Lovely house with fabulous views

Stayed for 4 nights in a party of 6 adults to attend a family wedding. The house is lovely and clean, and well suited to our group's needs. We arrived late and didn't meet the host, Angela, but the access instructions were easy to follow. The house backs onto Holyrood Park and has great views of Arthur's Seat. We were grateful to Mike and Cheryl for the flexibility they gave us concerning our leaving time, and for the speed with which they repaid the deposit. Unfortunately we were so busy with the wedding and meeting other relatives we didn't have time to do much sightseeing.

Fabulous townhouse and perfect location. Views outstanding.

Mika and Cheryls townhouse was perfect for our weekend stay in Edinburgh. We were greeted on arrival by a very welcoming host named Angela who looks after their house. First impressions were" Immaculate". Followed by stunning, spacious and overwhelmed by the spectacular view considering we were also walking distance (20 mins) from the city centre. The townhouse is on 4 levels. Being able to sit out in the beautiful garden was also an added bonus... thanks to the weather obviously... Our kids spent most of the time on the top level watching films and chilling out thanks to the wi fi. Our husbands enjoyed 2games of gplf at nearby courses and took in a game of football at the local football ground at Easter Rd. Which was also a short stroll away. While us girls enjoyed shopping in the city an evening at the cinema and some even ventured up Calton Hill. All in all a perfect weekend over too soon. We look forward to renting it again.

Everything we needed for a very comfortable stay in Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival. Walking distance to town centre. The owners were very accommodating and helpful.

Truly like being home, modern, clean, central to all our activities, close to amenities, with beautiful view of Arthur's

Perfection.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Not nearly long enough to savour the delights of Edinburgh fringe and tattoo. Fantastic place to stay. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Convenient to Hollyrood, Royal Mile and Prince's Street a short bus/taxi ride away. Will I be back? In a heartbeat!! The house itself was very well maintained and every imaginable thing needed was at hand. The views were stunning and the balcony lent itself to a quiet drink after a tiring day up town. The host, Angela, was very helpful. Never met her, but after speaking to her on phone, felt as though I'd known her for ages. A very nice woman. The work she does in keeping the house maintained and ready for next guests is very evident. The bad points.....not a single one. Loved it!!

A small south facing garden with Holyrood Park over the garden wall provides stunning views, an excellent walking / exercise area and without the normal city noise. The efficiency of a modern house providing warmth and efficient showers with copious hot water. A garage and second parking space are invaluable in a capital city centre property. All that a capital city centre offers close at hand but with the benefit of a near "rural" setting.
