About Mike and Cheryl Cran

We are Mike and Cheryl Cran who own the house. We lived in Edinburgh when we were first married but left over 20 years ago because of our jobs.

We love Edinburgh and fell in love with this house as soon as we saw the stunning views.

We use it whenever we can between short term lets and trust you will enjoy its beautiful location in the heart of the city and all that Edinburgh has to offer as much as we do every time we visit.

Our profile photo was taken in July 2015, just after we bought the house and staying in Edinburgh while supporting our daughter playing Lacrosse for Scotland in the Under 19s Lacrosse World Championships.

The views from a townhouse set in the city are stunning - virtually rural - and yet you are only 6-7 bus stops or a 15 minute walk from the city centre and all that Edinburgh has to offer as a capital city.

What makes this house unique

A small south facing garden with Holyrood Park over the garden wall provides stunning views, an excellent walking / exercise area and without the normal city noise.

The efficiency of a modern house providing warmth and efficient showers with copious hot water.

A garage and second parking space are invaluable in a capital city centre property.

All that a capital city centre offers close at hand but with the benefit of a near "rural" setting.

We had a lovely time in your house, it exceeded our expectations. The garden was so pretty and the view across the park was amazing. Having off road parking was a real bonus so near to the city. We would recommend to friends and stay again ourselves. Well equipped and clean. Mary.

Beautiful bustling City

There is so much to see & do in this beautiful city. This property was ideally situated for an easy walk into town. It's location on the edge of Holyrood park is just perfect for dogs & walkers aiming to venture up Arthur's seat. The house has fantastic views & is extremely comfortable & well equipped for all combinations of family members together. Lovely luxurious beds & ensuite bathrooms. Can not recommend highly enough. 5*++

Great location and beautiful home

We had six adults stay with privacy and plenty of meeting space. From the location we could take peaceful walks in the park or easily access the royal mile on foot. The neighbors were very quiet. The home was clean and modern with very comfortable beds. There are plenty of window to allow bright natural light.

Mike was incredible as he made sure our booking was correct. I would definitely book again. Great people, great place.

Amazing view!

Totally enjoyed staying at this house, very clean. The view from the back is incredible. Lots of stairs to keep us fit. Host provided great instruction for getting in and out. Great town house.

Fantastic property for large groups, great kitchen

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The bedrooms were lovely with very comfortable beds (better than home!), the kitchen had everything we needed (we cooked almost all meals), and any minor issues were dealt with promptly. The area was quiet and the views were fantastic. We would certainly stay there again, and we highly recommend this property if you are a large group.

The only recommendations we might have are for the house book to include more information on heating and appliances, but everything else was great.

Brilliant

The house was perfect for 5 ladies having 4 bathrooms, it’s also in a perfect location for walking into the centre of Edinburgh. It was spotless and very tastefully decorated in fact everything thing about our stay was great.
