Idea location to visit Chatsworth House, Matlock Bath, The Paek District

Built on Matlock Bank, ten minutes walk from the town centre shops and restaurants, Gate Cottage offers two bedrooms and sleeps four persons wanting to visit the Derbyshire Dales. One bedroom is a super king double and the other can be a super king double or two single beds. The bathroom has a shower and a separate bath. Outside there is a small front garden and a patio to the rear off the kitchen. Parking is available for one small to medium sized car (please note the driveway is narrow) - other parking without restrictions is a two minute walk away whilst there are no restrictions on street parking at the weekends. The kitchen is equipped well with a dish washer, microwave, toaster, oven, hob etc and lots of little extras (we try and keep salt/sugar/tea/coffee and so on all stocked up for guest use). The lounge has a log burner and a basket of logs is provided for each set of guests (extra baskets are £4.00) and a smart TV. Free Wifi throughout.

All clean and tidy. Nice garden to sit out in. Lounge cum dinner small for 3 of us; OK for 2.

Carol and Martin both very helpful. Gravel on steep parking area was a challenge! On street parking was preferable. Matlock itself is a pleasant town and a good base for the area
