About Samantha Holder

Sam Holder is a mother and recruitment consultant who lives in North London and Llanrwst. She runs a niche Recruitment business for Geotechnical Engineers and also leads a local Scout Troop where she endeavours to inspire young people with her own love of the great outdoors.

Samantha Holder purchased this cottage in 1998

Why Samantha Holder chose Conwy

Sam and her husband, Steve, spend as much time as possible in Llanrwst with their three children and two dogs. Most of Sam's childhood holidays were spent here, enjoying the rugged mountains and beaches of the North Coast and Anglesey and the family are pleased that they now have the opportunity to share their peaceful base in the mountains with others who share their love of wildlife and adventure.

What makes this cottage unique

The cottage has seen our children grow up and remains a special place for us all to be together. It offers peace and solitude in the centre of town with the mountains and beaches all around.

Llanrwst is a delightful Welsh town with good local produce shops and two Supermarkets. A great stay

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is secluded and very well maintained, clean and tidy with a good range of cooking facilities. The beds were extremely comfortable (which is often rare!), with good quality sheets and linen. Very helpful advice prior, from the owner. There is an very good Indian Restaurant and excellent fish and chip shop and a kebab takeaway, but not a lot of other places to eat out in the evening, without a short drive.

Overall impression is that this was a great find and if we wanted to, we would certainly go back again.

Pefect - clean, tidy, good location (behind the green door!) and quiet.

  • 5 of 5

A lovely cottage in a great location. Close to the hills in a charming village. Great pubs and places to eat (including an award winning curry restaurant). Also try the Eagle - good food and beer. Small supermarket very close by with a larger one the other side of the village (only a short walk). Clean and tidy with everything you would want in the cottage (including free Wi-Fi). Free parking very close by.

Lovely cosy cottage

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the cottage for a few days between Christmas and New Year to visit family in the area. It's very comfortable, well equipped and warm (once we got the thermostat set properly!). It is tucked away down a 'secret' alleyway and very quiet. Would recommend to others.

Comfortable cottage in the heart of Llanrwst.

  • 4 of 5

Lovely little cottage close to all the amenities. Very quiet and peaceful. Well equipped and comfortable especially the beds. Helpful owner who answered our queries promptly. Very clean. Our only slight issue was that it was a little chilly downstairs in the evening .

Owner's Response: So sorry that you were chilly in the evening - there is a BOOST facility on the thermostat which you can use to increase the temperature - I'm just sorry this wasn't signposted well enough. I'll fix that for our next guests. I can also control the heating remotely so, if you come next time, you only have to send a text or give me a call! Sam.

Beautiful Little Cottage

  • 4 of 5

We had a fantastic time in this lovely little cottage. It's right in the heart of a bustling town, literally right in the centre.

The interior is modern and extremely comfy, I think they may have done it up recently. Everyone didn't want to leave their beds, they were super comfortable!!!

The owner was very quick to respond to any questions I had and was extremely helpful.

If I'm ever visiting the area again I will definitely be checking this place out again.
