Photos very outdated

The property is very hard to find, you won’t find it without putting the gos coordinates in google maps. The house is essentially a large family home and not as grand as the pictures. In the kitchen there was a hole in the wall, boxes of lightbulbs left randomly around, new lamps but with price tags hanging off them and just left on a table? just felt very random!

The lounge and dining areas look absolutely nothing like the pictures, i’m not sure why the owner has not taken accurate pictures as the reality is nice enough? The bedrooms are impressive, especially the two on the middle floor. The beds were comfy and towels provided. The blind in the top 3 bed room was broken and we ended up leaving the hot water on for the duration as we couldn’t get hot water for ages. It was fine once we’d done this.

The garden was really lovely, lovely wildflowers at the end and apple trees. the trampoline was well used by our group, it’s seen better days but was ok. We went on a few lovely walks and can highly recommend the queens ph for a sunday roast. As we were such a large group we were given a private dining room, perfect if you have little ones!

Photos of property not upto date which gave false impression of property.

  • 3 of 5

We had good time-house and garden suitable for large party.

Trampoline was a cause for concern- should either be repaired or removed.

B b q was disgusting and had not been cleaned after last being used.It took us a long time to get it sorted out before we could use it which was disappointing.I might add that we left it as we would have hoped to find it.

The Conservatory was a dumping ground for bedding so could not be used.

In two of the bedrooms the Roman blinds were in a mess and needed a lot of sorting out before they could be used.

Hot water only available sporadically in kitchen.

Overall we felt that the property was not well presented and the pictures on the web site do not represent how it is today.

Fantastic house for a large group. Had everything to make us comfortable. Great garden which the kids loved. Excellent communication from the owner. Would recommend without hesitation.

Great stay!!

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautiful. The area is very 'country'. There are great views and the house would be wonderful for more than one family.
