Beautiful Ballachulish
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property with our two dogs. Excellent location with lots of dog-friendly walks nearby. The property was right next to the co-op which was ideal and there was a good take-way (Quarriers) across the road. An ideal place to ‘get away from it all’. Will look forward to visiting again.

About the host

Host profile image
I am Scottish born and bread, but lived in Ukraine the for the past ten years where I had small publishing business. I got married there
and we have a beautiful baby girl. We returned to Scotland earlier this year and bought Strathassynt Guest House and the self-catering cottage. We're working hard to make sure all our guests enjoy their time here.
We run the guest house right next door to the cottage, so we're almost always on hand to answer questions, offer advice or solve problems.

Why they chose this property

The cottage is a good size, but at the same time cozy and homey. It has everything you need, and with the pub across the road and the supermarket right behind, it's rural living without the inconvenience. It's really an excellent place to relax and recharge, and/or enjoy the great outdoors, while at the same time having everything you need right on your doorstep.
Ballachulish is a place we used to come as a family when I was a child. I have the fondest memories of the place. The sun might not always shine, but we always had the greatest time. The peace and quiet and spectacular scenery really make this a special place for me and my family.

What makes this property unique

What's really special about this place is that it has all the beauty, tranquility and outdoor activities anyone would want from a get-away-from-it-all holiday, while at the same time having everything you need inside or nearby for a hassle-free break.
