3 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms With Town And Mountain Views

A traditional country finca on the edge of Pollença with amazing views over the old town and the surrounding hills. Coster den Catalanet is a comfortable family house in a peaceful and private place with a gated driveway just a ten-minute walk from all the cafés, restaurants, shops and historic sites of the town.

There's a lovely first-floor lounge, making the most of the house's wonderful views. On the ground floor there's a large dining room and a small snug lounge, again with lovely views, and a farmhouse kitchen. There are two bedrooms here too - a double and a twin, as well as a family bathroom and a shower room. The third bedroom, on the first floor, is a double with a Juliet balcony looking out over Pollença. The large shower bathroom just off from the bedroom complete this floor.

Again looking over Pollença and the mountains is the relaxing terrace garden, with a gated pool. Close to the pool there is a relaxing hot tub that the guests can enjoy drinking a bottle of white wine or the drink they prefer. Also there are barbecue, lovely old olive trees and a dining area.

Coster den Catalanet has one of the most gorgeous outlooks of any Pollença villa and only five minutes from the old town with its atmospheric main square. Long days at the beach area really easy too with the beautiful beach and bay of Puerto Pollença ten minutes away by car.

Cot and high chair available without any cost for the guests.

The check in is at 16:00 and the check out is at 10:00.

Country retreat ten minutes from the heart of town

My partner and I stayed here with a friend for a week at the end of May 2017. We have stayed in Mallorca - including Pollensa - many times and I have to say this is probably one of the nicest villas and locations. You really feel as though you're in the country, with goats and chickens in the field next door), but it's a ten minute stroll downhill to all that Pollensa's bars, shops, restaurants, art and architecture have to offer. It is quite a steep climb back up, especially full of good food and wine, and/or carrying provisions. We arrived from Palma by public bus, so we did take a taxi from the bus stop on arrival to help us with our luggage.

The villa is comfortably and pleasantly furnished throughout, spotlessly clean and well-kept. The kitchen is compact but very well-equipped with all the glasses, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils you could possibly need; good to have some basics provided - tea, coffee, bread, cheese, milk, juice. The outdoor terrace is lovely for all meals (with sun and shade as required provided by a large umbrella) and it's difficult not just to sit and stare at the views of the mountains and the town. There's an outside BBQ, although we didn't use it. The pool is a good size, very refreshing on hot days, and the Jacuzzi - though not particularly hot - was also good for a change and a massage. There's plenty of space for six sunbeds (which are good quality, as are the poolside umbrellas) and having pool towels provided was helpful given airline luggage restrictions.

Javier and Antonia were very welcoming and helpful on arrival and a phone call away if needed. This is a lovely spot. You will notice traffic noise from the main road ten minutes' walk away, but it's not intrusive. The lane leading to the villa is rarely used by traffic, although a lot of hikers walked by on their way to/from the sanctuary. The bus stop on Cecilio Metelli street close by goes to /from Palma and Puerto Pollensa (and from either place, there are plenty of buses across the island, should you want to travel further afield).

We didn't do much other than sunbathe, eat and drink, although we did wander up the road alongside the calvary steps (the views are great) and walked down instead of up, and took the bus to the port for a day by the sea.

We very much enjoyed our relaxing week here, wished it could have been longer, and would definitely book again. Thanks Javier and Antonia.

Owner's Response: I'm glad they like the north of Majorca, it's a special place. From the temperature of the jakuzzi the digital thermostat can raise it up to 40 degrees centigrade which are 104 fahrenheit, maybe I did not know how to explain. I am sorry. Lovely villa with wonderful views over Pollenca.

Weather a little disappointing but still enjoyed the holiday. We were surprised that the villa was a semi detached but never heard our neighbours.

Owner's Response: Hello, time is what we can not control, this year 2017 we had records of high temperatures and also record in rainfall and we are above the total that rained last year and we are only in September, this is good for water resources in a island surrounded by salt water. But it has the disadvantage of less sun and temperature a little lower I suppose they are things of the climatic change. We have some neighbors in the back of the house, they are an English couple of about 60 years old, charming and very calm, he is a tour guide and his lady makes floral compositions. 9 years ago we rented the property and we had no problems, except one occasion we had 6 clients of about 25 years who were mistaken of tourist area Pollença is not Punta Ballena, they put music until late at night, but with a visit of the police settled. Do not worry about the Bol, it is normal for something to break completely normal. The money was not necessary, but thank you very much, I hope you have a pleasant memory of Polleça and the visit to our house. They have our address if in the future they want back do not hesitate to consult us. Thank you so much. Javier & Antonia

Great location, beautiful villa

We had a great week at Coster Catalanet. In such a fantastic location, it feels like the countryside but it's just a short walk into Pollensa so we could enjoy the restaurants and bars and the local market on the Sunday and then meander back to the villa and jump in the pool. Lots of opportunities to walk/hike nearby and some lovely views from the church down in town and the monastery on the hill behind the villa. Lovely beaches nearby, we had a great time kayaking/zip wiring into the sea with Mon d'aventure. The villa itself is beautiful, it had plenty of space and all we needed, everything was high spec, comfy beds, powerful shower, quality outdoor loungers and furniture, and Javier was charming, helpful and very welcoming. The perfect place to stay in Mallorca!

Beautiful villa, stunning location.

The villa is really lovely, - spacious, well equipped, and with amazing views over Pollensa. We spent a very relaxing week here, the pool is perfect and the addition of the hot tub meant we could relax with a glass or two of Cava in the evening watching the lights of the old town. Javier and his family were very welcoming and gave us a lot of local information. The villa is only 10 minutes walk down into the town which is charming with a lot of great restaurants and small boutique shops. For a more lively day/evening it is a short 10 minute drive to Puerto Pollensa where there are many bars, restaurants and tourist shops, loads of watersports available and a lovely beach. Alcudia old town and Port are also only a short drive away. A highlight of our trip was hiring the Esmeralda for a private sunset cruise when we could swim, paddle board and kayak off the boat. We throughly enjoyed our week at Coster Catalanet and highly recommend it.

Beautiful clean well equipped villa, everything you needed for lovely family holiday. Great views!

Lovely villa, in a quiet area just 15 minutes stroll to pollenca town with all the shops, bars and restaurants. The walk back is a little more strenuous as the property is up a hill! But this does mean that the villa enjoys beautiful views across the town and mountains beyond.

Very clean and well equipped, the villa is perfect for family holidays. Lovely pool and hot tub, and once again amazing views as you sunbathe. The villa had everything needed including wifi, and air conditioning. And once we had mastered the rather tricky entrance to the villa, it was all good.

Javier and his family were helpful with local information, and nothing was too much trouble. I would certainly recommend this villa.

This villa is in a stunning location with breathtaking views over the local area

Six of us stayed here for the third time and the property just gets better and better. It is well equipped and comfortable. Javier made us feel very welcome on our arrival and even turned up on our final evening with a delicious pastry as a farewell gift.

Relaxing by the pool was interspersed with walks around Pollensa, dinner in excellent local restaurants and long, lazy lunches on the sun terrace.

Looking forward to planning a return visit

It’s a very nice and quiet zone close to the town of Pollença, five minutes walking to the center of the town.

There is a lovely market on Sundays where you can buy all kind of fresh fruits, vegetables or traditional objects.

It’s a very nice zone too, to start a lot walking trips through the mountains around.

Ther are many beaches and coves in within few minutes from coster catalanet.

You have the bay of Pollença 10 minutes away from the villa.

You have Cala Sant Vicenç, that is a deligtful cove with a clear blue waters, rock pools, cliffs and beach bars/restaurants.

From the earliest part of the 20th century, Pollença became a favourite place of painters visiting the island. Many have contributed with their works, (literature and painting), to making Pollença well-known europe wide for being an artistic centre.

There are a variety of good restaurants in Pollença and in Puerto Pollença

At the end of July you can enjoy the very known international music festival of Pollença.

Bird watching is popular with one of the largest protected wetland areas in Europe Situated in Alcudia.
