Lovely cottage in ideal location to York

  • 5 of 5

We stayed mid November for first visit to York. The cottage was ideally located, in pretty surroundings and a comfortable stay. Located about 30 minutes drive from the City so away from the hustle (which is what we wanted) but not too far. The cottage was clean and well maintained, Pauline and Andrew were welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

We had a very enjoyable 5 day stay in Waterside cottage, although noisey as close to main road.

The cottage was very nice, well equipped for a cooking and very comfortable, nice garden and patio for sitting in the evening. Easy access for visiting York town centre and well positioned for Castle Howard, well worth a visit!

A well equipped cottage in a good position to explore York and surrounding area.

Comfortable modern well equiped property with good sitting out area. Care required accessing or crossing the nearby busy dual carriageway. Recommend visit Yorkshire lavender (June July for lavender) but an interesting place for coffee/shop/plants and site visit at other times.

Perfect for two

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely cottage for two , well located for exploring the lovely N Yorkshire countryside, as well as for access to York itself.

There are a number of great places to eat within a few minutes drive of the property, and we felt that the owners' recommendations were spot on.

The cottage itself is comfortable, well equipped and very clean, with a separate patio area and garden.

Pauline and Andrew were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

We have no hesitation in recommending this property to others.
