About the property

Bedrooms 5, Bathrooms 5, Sleeps 12

A delightful 5-bedroom ski-in chalet with sauna and jacuzzi that sleeps up to 12 people in 5 en-suite bedrooms. Chalet Nesoya is named after a luxury island paradise near Norway's trendy Oslo and styled with lashings of Verbier alpine chic. Situated at the edge of the forest, numerous beautiful and varied hiking paths leave from the front door of the chalet. The huge, open kitchen / living / dining area has windows on all sides and benefits from magnificent panoramic views of the valley and the mountains beyond. Overlooking the main living area there is a comfortable mezzanine space to relax and enjoy the mountain atmosphere.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

There are five spacious bedrooms that can comfortably sleep up to 12 people. On the downstairs floor there are three double rooms, (each with bathroom featuring bath with overhead shower, sink and WC), and a bunk room with bunk beds for 4 people, TV/play area and en-suite shower room. Upstairs on the main living floor is a fifth bedroom with en-suite shower room and twin beds (one slides away under the other to make a convenient single room when necessary). If you wish to travel with children under 2 years old, just let us know and we will provide a cot and a high chair in your chalet.

The kitchen is fully fitted to meet the needs of cooking for large groups, including a large central island, fridge, oven and hob. There is a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee-machine (both an electric filter machine and a Nespresso machine), plus fondue and raclette sets for a traditional Swiss evening in front of the log fire. Washing machine, dryer, hairdryer, iron and portable outdoor barbecue are all available for you to use. There is an additional large freezer located in the downstairs ski-room.

Relax in the sauna or your en-suite bath tub after a hard day on the slopes, or soothe your aching muscles in the jacuzzi on the terrace and listen to the birdsong from the nearby forest. You can relax in front of the fire and watch one of the many DVDs on the flat-screen from the comfortable sofas in the living room, but you’ll have to try not to be distracted by the beautiful and ever-changing views that can be seen from every angle. On a blue-sky day, the view stretches 20km, up to the peaks of the Haut de Cry and the Mont Gond, and in the other direction up to the Vallon d’Arby from where good skiers can ski home to the door. Children will love their bunk room as it is kitted out with toys & games including a television and computer games.

The chalet is equipped with free, high-speed WIFI for your own private use.

Use of the outdoor hot-tub is included in your reservation. Please note that where it was rented by the previous clients, we will change 100% of the water on the day of their departure, clean it and refill it with cold tapwater before treating it with sanitising products. This means that the jacuzzi may not be at full operating temperature until the morning after your arrival.

We would be delighted to welcome your pets to Chalet Nesoya. Please note that in order to cover supplementary cleaning costs, pets are charged at a rate of 3 CHF per day. If you are travelling with more than one large or two small dogs, please contact us to ensure we will be able to accommodate them.

Parking for 2 or 3 cars near to the chalet. Winter tyres and/or snow chains required in winter due to steep access road. Contact us for railway or airport transfers.

The chalet is only 500m from the ski-route that follows the main road to the Etablons apres-ski bar and joins the main piste down to the telecabin. This ski-route is suitable for all except complete beginners, who would need to walk or drive to the beginners ski area at the Etablons apres-ski bar.

The modern high-speed telecabin carries you from La Tzoumaz up to the top of the Savoleyres in less than 8 minutes, from where you can decide to ski back on the quiet La Tzoumaz slopes or ski down to Verbier's legendary slopes and world-class off-piste opportunities in the vast 4-Valleys ski area.

We are very pleased to announce that we offer discounted ski-passes to everyone staying with us. To be eligible for the full 15% discount, 6+day ski-passes must be ordered and paid in full 31 days in advance of your first ski day. We accept all major credit cards. Orders for 1-21 days received up to 14 days in advance are eligible for a 10% discount. All advance-purchase passes will be printed for collection with your keys when you arrive in the resort. Last minute orders will be available for collection on the morning after you arrive. Discounted passes are available for all age-groups, for durations from one half-day up to 21 days, and cover the Savoleyres, Verbier or 4-Valleys sectors. The discount does not apply to the insurance options available. Ski-passes can neither be cancelled nor exchanged once they have been ordered. The discount is applicable in high and low season and also applies to family rates. It is not cumulative with any other offers or reductions. On arrival in the resort we will also provide you with discount vouchers for various other services, such as ski lessons and ski equipment rental.

In summer, the area turns into a hiking and mountain biking paradise, with hundreds of kilometres of marked trails criss-crossing the mountains, awash with alpine flowers and a range of wildlife to spot. It is only a short walk from the chalet to the Maison de la Foret with its wildlife exhibitions and its Five Senses Nature Trail, along with the starting point of many beautiful hikes. The 'Bisses' are relatively flat footpaths that follow the water as it trickles around the mountainsides, where for centuries farmers and villagers channelled the streams for their own uses. They have been preserved now and can be an incredible way to spend a day or more on easy hikes with stunning views across the Rhone Valley or over to the Massif des Combins. We'll provide you with plenty of tourist information including our favourite suggestions for day trips that are easily reachable from La Tzoumaz, from spectacular gorge walks, cheese factories and roman festivals to rainy-day ideas such as underground lake tours. The road that winds up the mountain-top to the panoramic Croix-de-Coeur Cafe-Restaurant opens as soon as the snow melts and from here you can continue the drive (or cycle) all the way down into Verbier.

In the peak summer season from early July to late August, the telecabin link to Verbier operates daily from 08:45 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 16:45, meaning that you can easily access the famous resort as a pedestrian or accompanied by your bicycle. You can even use a variety of mountain lifts to make your way up to Mont Fort at 3300m for Europe’s highest fondue and incredible mountain panoramas that include Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. Don’t miss the Swiss National Celebrations in La Tzoumaz on August 1st, or the famous festival of live music performances, the Verbier Festival, which runs from mid-July to the beginning of August.

Great chalet for our family vacation

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay, great atmosphere and interior styling. Hot tub and sauna are really good. The path to the entrance was a bit slippy but we created (snow/ice) stairs on day 1. Also the path/road to the chalet parking is steap and asks for a 4x4 or chains for sure. The views are awesome so in the end its great for a stay. 9 adults and 2 kids (age 2 and 4) fitted easily.

Charming Chalet in La Tzoumaz, but...

  • 4 of 5

We were staying over NYE in this house with a group of 12 people. Mostly singles, one couple.

The Good:

The chalet is charming and spacious. It provides enough space for 12 adults for sleeping and living. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. Firewood is provided. We had 2 parking lots available near the house. There are 2 more but you have walk a bit. The house is "nearly" ski-in ski-out. As for ski-out you need to walk like 5-10 minutes up-hill to reach the piste. As for ski-in you need to be an advanced skier (but its possible) to drive in front of the house. If you have any issues with the house, the agency is very willing to help. They have a friendly staff.

The Bad:

Well here comes the details why i don't give 5 stars.

1) In general, the house cleaning crew did a mediocre job before our arrival. Don't expect miracles.

2) The jacuzzi wasn't ready on the 2nd day (i am aware that on the arrival day, the jacuzzi is cold, but it was also on the 2nd day, we had to call the agency after that all was fine). In addition it was a bit dirty.

3) The beds are comfy, but be aware that they are queen size beds. The 2-single bed room is also a bit vague. It is a single "high" bed where you can draw another bed from underneath. So its like a suspended double bed.

4) If you are a group of singles or couples (which don't like to share blankets) then you should inform the agency about how many blankets you want. We were 12 people (and everyone wants his own blanket) but there were just 9 blankets. (The reason is: the agency normally gives just one blanket per double bed... its standard but they are willing to help)

5) The kitchen is a bit of a game. :) check before you have Raclette or fondue if the tools are available or not. (we had to be a bit imaginative when we ate Raclette)

The Ugly

1) Every bedroom has its own bathroom. Nice. Every bathroom has a bath tub where you can shower. Very nice. But why is there no shower curtain or something similar??? (There are bathrooms with just showers, but they are in the bedrooms of the others....)

All in all our stay was great. We are an uncomplicated group so the "bads" and "uglies" were not as bad as it may sound. I'd definitely recommend the chalet and agency.

Memorable experience

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from our family holiday (6 adults and two kids), stayed in Chalet Nesoya. Check in with Patrick was really easy, quick and most helpful. The chalet was clean, very comfortable with balconies and magnificent mountain views! Very cosy atmosphere and great outdoor Jacuzzi. Well appointed with everything we needed to self cater - fully-equipped kitchen! We ended up cooking nice breakfasts and dinners - it was superb. The downsides: the rooms and bathrooms were pretty basic, TV in main floor did not work properly and the parking was far away from the chalet - so when it snowed (and it did snow heavily!) the path to the chalet was hard to walk along it - the stairs on the path were not visible and some of us stumbled.

Still, it was the most relaxing vacation we have ever been to. Overall we highly recommend the chalet!! We would most definitely come back - and as for the price - it's probably one of the best value chalets we have stayed in.

Other Activities:

Verbier's 4-Valleys

The versatile resort of La Tzoumaz is nestled just over the back of Verbier’s Mount Savoleyres with access to all of the famous Verbier 4-Valleys slopes and off-piste areas in winter. In summer, the mountains become a paradisaical network of hiking trails and mountain-bike routes, with something for every taste. From La Tzoumaz you can ride the same legendary pistes and powder bowls, but accommodation prices are only a fraction of those in Verbier itself! Every property is prepared to high standards and each has a stunning panoramic view of the mountains and valley. The resort is only 1h45 from Geneva Airport, and transfers can be arranged on request. We live in the resort year-round and are on hand to welcome you on your arrival and to help you with anything you might need to know or arrange, whether before, during or after your stay. If were not in the office, we’ll gladly take your call even if we’re out enjoying the biking, hiking or skiing for ourselves…
