About The Owner

Vicky and I have two married sons and 3 grandchildren. We still lead busy lives running our own business and love to visit 'out of the blue' to slow down and recharge our batteries.

Why The Owner chose Herefordshire

After several years of visiting this lovely part of Herefordshire with our caravan, Kington kept calling us back. We decided, on a whim, that we would look for a cottage in the town and came across this little blue town house. It offered us everything we were looking for and so we bought it. ( hence the name of the blue)

A perfect retreat from the stresses and stains of everyday live.

What makes this cottage unique

Quiet and peaceful

Park the car and walk everywhere

Pubs and shops on the doorstep

Beautiful countryside all around

Only a couple of hours from several major centres but feels a lifetime away

Great location, delightfully decorated, cozy Kington cottage

  • 3 of 5

The property is delightfully decorated in a chic-country style, and I was welcomed with wine and crackers, plus milk and bread in the freezer. Very thoughtful.

The house works well for a couple or small family, provided that sharing one bathroom is not a problem.

It is centrally located, just a short walk from Kington's shops and pubs, and a good base for walkers.

The only downside on my visit was the beer garden of the neighboring pub, which had noisy revelers until past one in the morning. In the colder weather that would not be a problem, but on an unusually warm autumn night it was a bit much.

Would visit again.

Superb cottage in a lovely setting

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in this beautiful cottage for a friends 50th. The cottage is equipped with everything you could ever want for a comfortable stay.

Not only was it immaculately clean , it was furnished beautifully and the beds were so comfortable I had the best nights sleep in a long time !

Set in a lovely town with pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance.

Will definitely be returning.

Compact but beautifully presented and very thoughtfully planned.

  • 5 of 5

It was centrally located in the town with easy on foot access to offas Dyke and amazing arboretum gardens and woodland. Loads of information regarding walks and OS maps of the area kept at the cottage. No parking outside but we always found a place opposite in the square. We dined at the Swan one night and had a little very nice meal which was reasonably priced. We were disappointed by a meal at the lical hotel in the town. With easy access to towns and lovely Hereford, both ourselves and the kids had a great time. Owners very generously left groceries and wine which was an added bonus.

Liebevoll gestaltetes Haus in schöner Umgebung

  • 5 of 5
