A beautiful modern apartment that sleeps four in comfort.

Come to the beautiful Siesta Mar that has the luxury of being situated in a semi residential complex. The apartments are all situated in the stunning manicured gardens. Lay by our large communal pool is conveniently situated in a central position. Also it has a shallow 0.4 meter pool for baby's etc. Our luxury apartment is walking distance from shops bars and restaurants. It has 2 balconies that get the sun in the morning on one side and hot hot hot sunshine in the afternoon on the other!

Nice place exactly as described

We've just come back from a nice holiday staying at this apartment. The apartment is small but it has everything you need for two adults and two small children, it has a lovely balcony and is in a great location. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because of our pre-holiday experience. Travelling with an infant and toddler I had a number questions on what I needed to bring as well as how we enter the property on arrival. None of my emails were answered and I ended up having to call the owner on a Spanish number the day before we flew. He wasn't apologetic at all of the fact he hadn't responded and actually had no idea who I was or which of his properties we were staying in. He confirmed there would be a cotbed for our baby son so we didn't bring ours only to arrive and there was no bed. After calling and chasing a number of times on our first day we finally had a bed delivered that evening. It was a stressful start to the holiday but after that we ended up having a lovely time although we probably wouldnt stay here again.

The apartment was in a good location near to the fantastic cove at Cala En Porter.

The apartment was clean, with a modern, well equipped kitchen and large fridge freezer. The balcony area was a good size with plenty of seating and we spent most of our time out there. Whilst there was a big umbrella for shade and a low coffee table, it was lacking a small table to sit at to eat.

The bedrooms were a little disappointing as there was only one fan and without air-con a second fan was much needed and whilst we did request another we did not get one. The beds were basic and were lacking mattress protectors, so the sheets were straight on the bed, which is not very hygienic and only one pillow per person was available. Furthermore the bedding in the children's room was polyester, which was too hot for them and Cotton would have been cooler.

The location was great in a quiet residential complex with mainly private owners but you could use the facilities in the other Siesta Mar complex next door. The main pool closest to our apartment was a bit disappointing as it only had 3 old worn sunbeds and it seems that most apartments supplied fold up sunbeds for their guests use, but there were none in the apartment so we had to carry plastic chairs from the balcony if we wanted to sit by the pool. For a holiday let it would have been better to have a few extras such as sunbeds, ice blocks and a coolbag for guest use.

On the whole we did enjoy our stay, but a few minor changes would have made it even more enjoyable.

The location was good, with a few well stocked local supermarkets and only 2 minutes walk to the centre which had a few bars and restaurants, but on the whole was a fairly quiet resort.

I would recommend you hire a car and Binicars just outside the apartments offered a very good service and have been there 30 plus years.

I would rent the apartment again as we enjoyed our stay.

Nice apartment in beautiful Menorca

This was our 3rd time in Menorca for my wife & I and our 2 kids (6 & 4) though 1st time in Calan Porter and Mark's apartment.

Communication with Mark thoughout was good. All questions answered quickly and the booking process was simple.

Calan Porter is not far from the airport and so on arrival we took a taxi directly to the apartment for <€20.

This is Siesta Mar 1 and is (much) quieter than SM2. SM1 is more residentail though there are of course still lots of holiday makers. While we were there (early July) there was plently of space around the pool though probably got busy just after we left and UK schools got out.

The apartment was as per the pics, small but well formed. A flight of steps to this 1st floor and a door on to the large private balcony with comfy chairs, table and parasol, plus the washing machine.

Opening the shutters on the balcony to enter the apartment, you arrive in to a well equipped and comfortable living room, and in to the small open kitchen. The kitchen is generally well equipped though we did not use it much. There is a microwave, a kettle, an electric oven and hob. The only real ommission here is a toaster.

The living room has a large LCD TV, a DVD (didn't use) and the WIFI router.

Internet was pretty decent which is useful to keep the kids entertained if you have a chromecast/plex etc.

In the short corridor you find a small but well appointed bathroom with toilet, sink and shower, and the 2 bedrooms.

The main bedroom is a double with a door on to the smaller rear balcony plus a double window (with wood shutter).

The 2nd bedroom is small but has 2 single beds and wardrobes and a door (with wood shutter) to the rear balcony. Both bedrooms have a fan. There is not air conditioning but then I prefer a fan. Shutters help keep out the light but they are not blackouts as slatted. .

SM1 is quieter than SM2. Though one annoying aspect is that there are not many sunbeds there at all. Best get up early or be lucky. Many people were bringing their own sunbeds so I guess this a known issue.

The childrens play area is good for younger kids. Lawned area's are well maintained.

Calan Porter beach is lovely and shelves shallow for a long time and so very safe for kids. The stairs look daunting but were not too bad. Cova Xoriger is lovely plus there are a couple of nice places on the way with views over the bay. Restaurants as you would expect with British, Italian and Spanish fare.

Enjoyed our stay. Will visit Menorca again.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful setting

Lovely apartment, ideal for family stay in Menorca. The photos and description on the site were very accurate and did not disappoint. The manager is close by should you have any queries or problems which was really reassuring.

When we spoke to the Manager we suggested a few more details on the site might help people during their stay and give them a little reassurance prior to arrival eg. directions to the apartment block, contact info, check in/out details. Overall we had a great week in Menorca, the apartment is well equipped with wifi, dishwasher,washing machine, oven and hob and the complex was very well kept (the only thing that you could say was lacking would be a few extra sunbeds round the pool!). Cala en Porter has everything that you would expect, just a short ride from the airport, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, beautiful scenery and lovely beach/bay area.

We had a great time and would definitely go back!
