About the Owner

Hello, I'm Nicola. I have lived in Braunton for 25 years. I love living here as it is so convenient to the beaches, Exmoor and the other wonderful activities this area has to offer. I love walking my dog Jessy, swimming, gardening and spending time with my family. We enjoy having picnics and walking along the coastal path and Exmoor and chilling out on one of the amazing local beaches.

Lovely spotlessly clean comfortable property , great location

  • 5 of 5

Lovely little property.

Spotlessly clean and everything you could want was provided by Nicola.

We loved the location, it was great for walks and for the town. Beaches all all within easy reach.

We took our dog and Nicola had provided dishes, towels, pooh bags for dogs which we thought was a very nice touch.

The garden was very nicely done and although we went mid September we could still sit out and enjoy it.

Thank you for the afternoon tea and wine, again another nice touch.

We would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

Perfect Location in Braunton

  • 5 of 5

The location of this lovely cottage within Braunton could not be better. It offers the beauty of Braunton Burrows just accross the road, Tescos within walking distance and also Braunton shops and eateries not far at all. So the peace and quiet of the little lane where the cottage is situated can be enjoyed without being away from all amenities.

Pebble Cottage itself was amazing. It is spotlessly clean and equipped with all you could possibly need. From the luxury towels to the hairdryer that really did the job. (Not the cheap variety that can be usual).

The private garden was brimming with beautiful flowers and lovely summer smells. Obviously constructed with care but also an air of informality as a garden should be.

All the kitchen requirements were supplied. Cleaning materials, tea, coffee & sugar. The bathroom, with its skylight window, is a very good size and has a brilliant modern shower.

The bedroom has a comfortable large bed with a view of the garden.

When you first see the front of the cottage it does not give the impression that it is very large inside. But when you walk in it is like Dr Who's Tardis. The entrance hallway is long and it leads to a large utility area for the washinng machine, sink and also where you can store your surfboad should you have one. We found that this enabled us to store things that would maybe have otherwise cluttered up the bedroom or kitchen area.

The owners looked after us very well indeed whilst still ensuring that we had our privacy. The milk, scones with cream and wine which were left for us when we arrived were very much appreciated.

We would not hesitate to recommend this property to our friends and family and I am sure we will return some time in the future.

Marie & Dave

Amazing. Relaxing. Exceeded every expectation

  • 5 of 5

We booked this cottage for ourselves, as family were staying nearby and we live in Plymouth. We were worried about our two Labradors and trying to find somewhere that would accept them both. After speaking to Nicola she was so friendly and welcoming that we booked straight away without a second thought. This was in March and we were trying to find somewhere for the height of summer. The accommodation is outstanding! The website doesn't say, but when you enter the cottage there is even a separate utility room for you to brush off the dogs and clean your boots in the sink. There are beaches minutes away and the 60km Tarka Trail is across from the font door. Saunton Sands is 10 mins away and there are so many dog friendly beaches nearby. Amazing for any dog owner. To top it off, location wise there is a tesco down the road and the Saltrock clothing outlet nearby. Every single detail had been considered. The Bed Linnen was high quality cotton and plush towels were provided in the bathroom (The bathroom is massive). There were even towels, dog bags and dog bowls provided. The garden is so much larger than the pictures suggest, and catches the sun all day. For those who want a cosy night in, the TV even is a smart one with Iplayer, ITV hub and Netflix all built in. Nicola was fantastic and we couldn't believe the attention to all the finer details, such as milk in the fridge and coffee in the pots. An amazing stay and we both slept brilliantly every single night. We will definitely be going back and couldn't recommend this any more highly.

A Little Gem

  • 5 of 5

The cottage proved to be the perfect little hideaway for us to explore North Devon. A lovely warm welcome awaited us on arrival at Dove Cottage, with it proving to be the perfect balance of light and airy as well as comfortable and cosy. The attention to detail by the owners of the cottage was spot on and it was spotlessly clean. The welcome pack was very gratefully received too. We were very lucky that the weather was excellent while we were there, so we were able to sit back and enjoy the pretty garden when we weren't out and about.

The centre of Braunton is approx a 10 minute walk away and has a good range of places to eat, drink and shop. With the tarka trail practically on the doorstep of the cottage and the coast close by we would definitely recommend this lovely cottage to anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing base with easy access to both. We used the tarka trail for our morning runs, it felt safe and people were friendly as we passed them by. We did a walk out to Crow Point as recommended by the owner Nicola, it was amazing we would definitely recommend it, if you're not so much if a walker you can drive there too.

We had a very relaxing, happy time on our stay and are hoping to visit again soon, thank you.

Lovely place to stay

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was very clean and well presented throughout with all mod cons! Kitchen and shower room were both spotless and the utility was really handy for storing our beach gear (and damp dogs!).

Ideal location for exploring the local area and countryside and only a 5 minute walk to either the town centre or nearby supermarket.

Would definitely recommend and am already planning a return visit!

A very comfortable cottage which is conveniently situated for easy access to Braunton village, Tarka Trail and Braunton Burrows. Cottage is very well decorated, very clean and has everything you need. Owner was very helpful and even left some treats for our dog. Highly recommended, would definitely stay again.
