Amazing mountain views. 3 spacious en-suite bedrooms!

Delightfully situated in the village of El Pinar, Casa Piedras is a privately owned villa with a fabulous 11x5m Roman-style pool, huge patio, gazebo, lighting and a variety of sunny and shaded areas for alfresco dining. Accommodation comprises entrance hall, fully fitted kitchen, utility room, large dining room, lounge with double doors opening on to the rear garden. Two fully-fitted twin-bedded rooms with en-suite shower rooms. Huge master bedroom/family room with panoramic views of the mountains/village, king size bed, walk-in wardrobe and a large en-suite bathroom. There are fans for summer, heating for winter. WIFI, IPTV, PlayStation 2/DVD, CD player, barbecue and boules. Casa Piedras has the advantage of being a Spanish farmhouse-style villa with extensive grounds offering modern amenities fully equipped to a high standard. The villa is not overlooked by any other property and is only a 2 min. walk to the centre of the village.

Great villa - quiet, spacious, private.

Casa Piedras is an older villa, spacious and comfortable, with updated bathrooms and kitchen. We stayed for two weeks in July, together with our son, daughter-in-law and grandsons. The weather was excellent and we spent a lot of time enjoying the beautiful pool and surrounding patio areas. Having been to El Pinar several times in the past, our only disappointment was to find the restaurant, bar and pool closed. We enjoyed the slight remoteness and privacy. Overall, we were very satisfied.

Relaxing location

Situated on the outskirts of a quiet hill villiage Casa Piedras is an ideal location for a relaxing break yet only 15-20 mins from the coast with all its many attractions. We were conveniently placed to descover the many interesting mountain villiages as well the local beaches and coatal towns. When the weather was good we were content to spend the day around the large private pool area. In the evenings we used the property's ample facilities to cater for ourselves and use one of the properties many lovely sitting areas.

Private, peaceful hilltop villa

We had a fantastic week at the villa. The end of March is early in the season, so it was cold the first day or so, and chilly in the evening, but the villa is well heated (mostly solar) and has lovely wood burning stove in the living room. As the weather improved we spent the entire time outside by the pool, which is very private and secluded. The mountain breeze was very welcome even in March, so in the height of summer it would be really necessary! The villa is very well equiped and the main bedroom as marvellous views. Local towns and hilltop villages offer some great restaurants at very reasonable prices and the coastal towns, 15 minutes away by car, have everything you need. There's also great hiking from the front door, and cycling. You do need a car to get around, but they are cheap to rent. Matt and Leila were really helpful with our questions and provide lots of local information. We'll definitely go back!

We spent 3 weeks in this superb villa. The villa itself is extremely well equiped, there is absolutely nothing you could want that isn't there. For chilly nights there is a fabulous open wood burning fire, very easy to manage. If you want total privacy, peace, quiet and tranquility with a fantastic environment and outstanding views across the mountains with superb walks just outside the front gate, this is the place for you. The icing on the cake is you have all these things but can drive between 10 to 15 minutes to have a wide choice of villages and towns providing restaurants, shops, and nightlife. We found the best supermarkets were Lidle on the way to Mojacar or the supermarket in the shopping complex near Mojacar. The best browsing shops were in Garucha which also has the best beach and promenade walk. The drive through local villages in the mountains is fantastic with spectacular views. We also visited Almeria and Granada, both within easy reach but there is so much to see an overnight stay is recommended (very very reasonable prices). The owners could not have been more helpful in our preperations to go and whilst we were there. All this and blue skies and fabulous sunsets, what more could anyone ask for.

Wow on the pool, lovely villa and quiet area.

This is a lovely villa, it met our needs and the new owners went out of their way to give us the information we required. The swimming pool was amazing and the grounds we private. We felt very comfortable here and will be back.

Why this property? Why not, it is everything we wanted. A great size property with so much scope as a family home and a rental. No neighbours so lovely and quiet, yet only a short walk to the centre of El Pinar. Mojacar just a short drive away, Garrucha even closer (they have the most amazing seafood). It's great for all types of holiday, you can laze by the pool/on the beach, go mountain biking, scuba diving, fishing - it's all here!
