BRAND NEW FOR 2016 SKI SEASON. 41m2 two bedroom second floor apartment in small, picturesque new alpine style development that has been sympathetically constructed using local and traditional materials. The apartment is situated in a central but peaceful location 200m from Diable lift in the old town - the pretty end of resort. Ideal for family of 4/5 or two couples. Well appointed and high end specification throughout. Large balcony with views across the Vallée blanche. Bedroom 1: wooden triple bunk bed (double bed on bottom; single on top) and solid oak chest of drawers. Bedroom 2: rustic solid wood double bed, solid wooden shelving unit and feature sliding door to hallway. Hallway: built-in wardrobe. Kitchen/living room: sofa bed, 32-inch flat screen TV (French channels) and DVD player; pine corner bench and dining table; stylish and well equipped fitted kitchenette with high spec Bosch appliances (dishwasher; fridge; oven; induction hob; integrated microwave). Also kettle, toaster & coffee machine. Sliding double patio doors to generous balcony with rattan furniture (summer bookings only). Spacious shower room. Separate WC. Ski locker with five sets of boot warmers. Private parking space. Cots and highchairs available on request.

About the Owner

My husband and I fell in love with this resort when we first came here 15 years ago. Unlike many French ski resorts, which have great skiing but ugly architecture and lame après ski, it seemed to us that Les Deux-Alpes had it all - varied on- and off-piste skiing, superb mountain restaurants, lively après ski entertainment and a pretty town centre with plenty of character. After several years of renting apartments here, earlier this year we took the plunge and bought our own slice of Alpine paradise. We now have two young children (when we first came to Les Deux Alpes we were footloose and fancy-free) and cannot wait to get them on the nursery slopes. When we are not skiing I (Olive) am a journalist and my husband (Gareth) is a commercial manager. We live in Cheshire, north west England.

Great apartment in a great location!

This really is a great apartment! We are a family of four and it suited our needs perfectly for a summer holiday. It is a modern apartment with all the facilities you could require. Use of a garage was a real bonus as we had brought bikes with us. Great location with lots of activities, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance but still quiet at night. The management team were great and nothing was too much trouble for them. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone considering a stay in Les Deux Alpes!!

Lovely apartment

Very comfortable modern flat at the quieter end of the resort, close to Diable chairlift and overlooking Venosc valley. Well appointed with balcony which catches afternoon sun. Restaurants and shops minutes away on foot.

Just lovely!

This property was just as we had imagined, exactly as described and seen in the photos. The views were just lovely.

It was extremely warm, clean and provided everything we needed. A great location too, less than a five minute walk to the ski slopes, shops, restaurants and bars. The owners were very helpful to email us various resort information as it was our first time skiing. Wouldn't hesitate to book this chalet again if we were to return to Les Deux Alpes.

February Half Term

The apartment was perfect for our family skiing holiday, it was very clean, well equipped and with adequate storage for clothes and ski wear (I often find this lacking in ski chalets). The boot room was fantastic. The position of the chalet was very convenient for the Diable chair lift and it was the quieter end of town with some very nice restaurants, bakery etc. I would definitely recommend the property.

An excellent appartment; well equiped, clean and warm. Easy access to Le Diable chair lift. A nice end of town with lovely restaurants, cafes and bars all within a few hundred yards . Good customer service from the office.

Location

From the Owner

As soon as Chalet de L'Olan came on the market, we knew it was the one for us. It is a small (12 apartment), charming, chalet style development on a quiet street in the old town. It's not quite ski-in, ski-out, but the Diable chair lift is a stone's throw away and the apartment is central enough to nip to the Boulangerie every morning.

One of the more attractive French resorts, Les Deux Alpes nestles in a valley between two mountains, which makes for impressive views and challenging skiing. The snow-sure ski area boasts 220km of marked pistes for all abilities. In summer, the resort is a magnet for adventure sport lovers, and is alive with hikers, downhill bikers, paragliders etc.
