3 Double Bedrooms, 2 Large Sea and City view Facing Terraces

Recently refurbished bright and airy 3 bedroom villa set in the residential area of Old Town, Funchal. Within 5 minutes walking distance to shops and restaurants. Uninterrupted sea views visible from the large outdoor areas located on 2 levels. Plenty of private space for relaxing on sun beds or dining al fresco whilst watching the cruise ships passing immediately in front of the property. Modern interior recently updated to provide large airy open plan areas. The kitchen equipment has all been replaced and caters for even the most discerning chef. Large open plan lounge with sea view leading to fully equipped kitchen and utility room. Appliances include dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, fridge freezer and oven. The lounge is equipped with new LCD TV,cable channels, blue ray DVD and Wifi. The Villa consists of 3 spacious double bedrooms all with full en-suites one of which is a wet room. Sunloungers, bathing towels and parasols are provided. Decoration is modern and comfortable with quality bedding and towels supplied. A little haven perfectly located with easy access to shops and restaurants or there is a bus stop located right outside the property. Travel cot, high chair and potty can be provided and also there is the option of a single put up bed for use in either master bedroom or bedroom 3. The property is accessed via a set of steps and therefore is not suitable for those requiring wheelchair access. The 3rd bedroom is located on the ground floor and accessible via a staircase located off the lounge. Bed linen and towels are changed weekly at no additional charge. We can also arrange taxi transfers from the airport with a reliable taxi driver (payable locally).

It was watching the cruise ships on New Years eve from the terrace which convinced us that this was the right property for us. We had been searching in this area for many years and the view sealed the deal !

Stunning villa with everything you could ever need for an amazing holiday.

The beautiful villa is situated in the old town of Funchal with amazing sea views. It has been refurbished to a very high standard and is equipped with everything you could ever wish for.

We were also introduced to Louis who met us at the airport so transferring to the villa was very easy.

Numerous bars and restaurants are a stones throw away from the villa which we were more than happy with as we didn't hire a car.

Perfect place

Thank you to Karen, Mike and Mirela for an idyllic holiday in a very comfortable and superbly equipped villa. It's location in the old town close to excellent bars and restaurants could not be better. Sitting on the balcony watching the ships pass by was a great way to enjoy the sun. We will be back!

Book now to avoid disappointment......... Holiday date 10/12/2016 - 17/12/2016

Very clean, bright & extremely well equipped. Luxuries, well appointed, fantastico. Spacious & everything you could possibly require from a holiday home. Definite home from home. Decorated beautifully for Christmas with a tree & all other welcomeing extras. Even dressings gowns were available.

Wonderful outside space with views over the sea & very secure.

Mirela. Who,looked after us, could not have been more helpful. Raphael, our taxi driver, who was recommended by Karen & Mike the owners, (who were online to help us if necessary, friendly & easy to deal with.) He was there the greet us at the airport & was extremely helpful when our departure flight was cancelled.

To be honest there is always a down side when writing a review, which was we only booked a week & it should have been two.

Spotless modern home with spectacular views and convenient location

If you want to explore Funchal on foot then this is the ideal location. It's on the eastern edge of the old town in a quiet part of town with amazing views over the bay. A small road only separates the property from the cliff face! The bakers and a small Spa shop are 5 minutes walk away. The modern centre of town is 15-20 minutes away.

The property is modern, clean and has a spacious open plan living area. The bedrooms are well proportioned both with en-suites. The outside area is south facing meaning you have the best of the sun all day.

The owners are extremely helpful and respond quickly to any requests.

Highly recomended and no hesitation in returning.

The old town villa

We were so lucky to have found such a fantastic property. The villa is well equipped with all household goods provided from dish washer tablets to shampoo. Raphael the taxi driver that Karen engages was very knowledgeable and helpful, taking our bags up the steep steps to the property where we were met by Mirela the house keeper who was so welcoming and insisted on making us a lovely cup of coffee, and ensuring that everything was to our liking. A welcome pack was provided with basics such as bread and cheese and wine! A special thank you to Karen who was very accommodating regarding vacating the property allowing us to stay on for longer as we had a late flight. If this is the standard of homeaway properties I will not go back to using more established companies

With many people opting to only carry hand luggage we have tried to provide all the essentials so that guests do not have to carry additional liquids through the airport or bulky dressing gowns and towels which soon fill a small case.
