About Leah Dumayne

This has been our home for the past 5 years.

We have renovated the house over this time to bring it up to date.

My husband and I grew up in villages nearby and have always loved Laugharne. It's where we wanted to settle down and bring up our family.

Why Leah Dumayne chose Carmarthenshire

We love Laugharne as a place; it's very community centred and friendly with such beautiful walks and views.

When the opportunity came to buy this house we were very excited as it's on a lovely quiet street with friendly neighbours and has such a large garden, which for us was very important.

What makes this house unique

Large kitchen area for entertaining or family time with breakfast bar and large wood table to seat up to 10 people.

Very large garden spread across 3 areas (slate patio, wood decking and lawn).

Beautiful summer house which is an extra room to take in the garden, relax and watch TV, read, or if feeling energetic have a workout.

Lovely property, but a few things didn't work

  • 4 of 5

Really nice house, and it's obviously been done up recently. However the amenities weren't quite what was needed for a big group with kids, such as the fridge being small and there only being one bathroom.

Lovely house and great location

  • 4 of 5

Lovely house in a great location. It was ideal for our family (2 adults, 3 children aged 6, 9 ad 11). We were delighted with the space itself in the house, the facilities provided and with all extra touches (welcome pack). Leah was great in terms of correspondence before and during stay. And Lougharne itself is a gem of a place - lovely walks, coffee shops, gift shop and is not far from beaches and other amenities which was exactly what we wanted. We had a lovely 4 day break. We would definitely recommend the property and the location.

Centrally Located house in Laugharne

  • 4 of 5

Our party of 5 adults stayed at the property for 3 nights in June.

We found the house to be clean, and comfortable with all of the equipment required for a self catering holiday.

The kitchen complete with a farmhouse type table was an excellent room for sharing a glass of wine and a chat at the end of the day.

The house is close to all amenities with good restaurants within easy walking distances.

We would recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in a property with modern décor and facilities.

Nice house in great location

  • 4 of 5

My family and I stayed for 5 nights with our 3 yr old Labrador, the house on the whole was lovely with lots of room down stairs, the kitchen diner is particularly impressive as was the bathroom which had a great shower. However the garden was slightly disappointing after being sold as dog friendly. There are quite high steps leading up to the garden then the decking area was very slippery when wet and dogs aren't allowed on the lawn !! Old wooden garden furniture and a rusty BBQ added to the general untidiness of the garden.

Parking at the property was not always possible but the main road is not far away and we parked there for 2 of the nights.

Lots of good eating places in Laugharne but most not open on Monday nights, can recommend the coffee at the local delicatessen.

Great location for a very well equipped and spacious holiday home

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous week staying at this property in Laugharne. We were greeted by Leah, the owner, who was very friendly and helpful about all the facilities in the cottage and tips for walks in the village. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped, as was the rest of the cottage. Great shower! Leah had left us a very welcome hamper along with milk and butter, plus tea and coffee. This helped us settle in and start our holiday right away.

Laugharne is a very special place with so many attractions for visitors, our favourite pastime was to walk our dog along the path to Dylan Thomas boat house and down to estuary path, so peaceful and beautiful. Then pop into the bakers opposite for fresh bread and sticky buns!

We can highly recommend both Arthur's and The Ferryman for places to eat. Although having a icecream watching the high tide coming in was entertaining.

After busy days the cottage was very welcoming and comfortable, with a sunny garden to sip a glass of wine,we would highly reccomend others stay, and enjoy all that is Laugharne in a beautiful part of Wales.

Great Location!

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in Laugharne, the owner Leah was friendly and approachable and the property was a lovely size, so was the garden. There was some gym equipment in the Summerhouse which my partner used a few times and thought that was a good extra. It was in an ideal location only a few minutes walking distance to the Castle, Pubs, Shop, Post Office and Bakery.
