The house is centrally located on a quiet and friendly street in Laugharne, with the bakery nearby-could you resist the wonderful aroma of freshly baked bread?

Laugharne is a charming township on the Taf estuary where Dylan Thomas spent many years. It is said to be the inspiration for the fictional town of Llareggub in his play Under Milk Wood.

There is a lovely 2 mile "Dylan Thomas Birthday Walk" where you can take in the amazing views on offer.

Located a stone's throw away is Laugharne Castle, Dylan Thomas' writing shed, boathouse and favourite watering hole-the Brown's Hotel.

Within walking distance there is a mini supermarket, pharmacy, doctor surgery, deli, pubs, restaurants and cafés to meet your needs and to ensure you are well fed and watered!

Nearby attractions include horse riding stables, Pendine Sands (10 minutes away), Tenby, Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire Coast and National Botanical Garden.

Kitchen/Dining Room: wonderful space for family time and entertaining. Breakfast bar and large wood table with church pews seating up to10 people. Smart TV, oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, wine cooler, toaster, kettle and other kitchenware required for self catering.

Stable door opens to garden area.

Highchair available upon request.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has a kingsize bed and overlooks the garden.

Bedroom 2 has a double bed.

Bedroom 3 has bunk beds.

We can provide a travel cot upon request.

Outside: a large south-facing private garden which has the sun all day.

Wood decked area with large l-shaped wood bench and outdoor dining furniture.

Lawn with path leading up to the summer house.

Beautiful large summer house to while away the hours come rain or shine. Decked balcony overlooking the garden, TV, small drinks fridge, L-shaped sofa, and gym equipment (concept 2 rower, pull up bar and weights).

My husband and I grew up in villages nearby and have always loved Laugharne. It's where we wanted to settle down and bring up our family.

Great location for a very well equipped and spacious holiday home

We had a fabulous week staying at this property in Laugharne. We were greeted by Leah, the owner, who was very friendly and helpful about all the facilities in the cottage and tips for walks in the village. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped, as was the rest of the cottage. Great shower! Leah had left us a very welcome hamper along with milk and butter, plus tea and coffee. This helped us settle in and start our holiday right away.

Laugharne is a very special place with so many attractions for visitors, our favourite pastime was to walk our dog along the path to Dylan Thomas boat house and down to estuary path, so peaceful and beautiful. Then pop into the bakers opposite for fresh bread and sticky buns!

We can highly recommend both Arthur's and The Ferryman for places to eat. Although having a icecream watching the high tide coming in was entertaining.

After busy days the cottage was very welcoming and comfortable, with a sunny garden to sip a glass of wine,we would highly reccomend others stay, and enjoy all that is Laugharne in a beautiful part of Wales.

Great Location!

We enjoyed our stay in Laugharne, the owner Leah was friendly and approachable and the property was a lovely size, so was the garden. There was some gym equipment in the Summerhouse which my partner used a few times and thought that was a good extra. It was in an ideal location only a few minutes walking distance to the Castle, Pubs, Shop, Post Office and Bakery.

We had a great week in Laugharne. The house was excellent, plenty of space for the four of us and our two dogs. We really appreciated the Sky/Smart TV, great for down time in the evenings. The welcome gifts from Leah were really nice, so good not to have to run out straight away for milk, bread and most importantly wine!!! We will definitely come back, loved the house and loved the character and tranquility of Laugharne, fabulous place. Thanks again Leah for a great stay.

Lovely garden.

We really enjoyed using the kitchen and dining room. It's a great social space, with a TV too. The garden was lovely, with lots of places to chill-my daughter appreciated the gym at the end of the garden. Having fast wireless broadband kept the "kids" happy, as did the sky TV. It was nice to be met and welcomed by the owner, and the milk, wine and butter were a lovely touch. I have not given five stars mainly because I think the previous visitors had had a dog and the lounge was a bit whiffy-we solved this by buying a scented candle. Also parking is a little tricky-one evening even the bakery car park was full.

Laugharne is a lovely village and everyone we spoke to was really friendly. We ate at Arthur's, which was good, and the Deli does superb bread. The bakery is very handy and the Spar shop is really useful.

We used Laugharne as a base to explore both the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire coast. I would recommend Stackpole, St Davids, and Tenby. Carmarthen has loads of shops for a rainy day, as well as a Morrison's and Tesco.

I just want to apologise if the lounge had a dog smell, this has not been raised before; we will be aware of this following pets staying in the future. Also, we are sorry you had parking problems too...this is a rare occurrence and there is usually enough space. We hope you will consider us for a future visit.

Comfortable cottage for 6

This cottage was furnished to accommodate 4 adults and 2 children very comfortably during our stay, with two double beds and a bunk bed. The kitchen diner is very homely and we found it perfect for family meals and also family board games and jigsaws!

There is plenty of drawer and cupboard storage. Hot water is always available and there is a dishwasher and washing machine.

The garden is roomy and subdivided into patio and grassed areas. Unfortunately we were not able to take advantage of this space much though because of rain during our holiday.

The welcome pack was very thoughtful and Leah could be contacted at any time if we had any questions or concerns.

Laugharne is a pretty little village with a castle, connections to Dylan Thomas, and several walking routes.

We love Laugharne as a place; it's very community centred and friendly with such beautiful walks and views. When the opportunity came to buy this house we were very excited as it's on a lovely quiet street with friendly neighbours and has such a large garden, which for us was very important.

Rural setting by the sea. There are 5 pubs, a deli, restaurants and cafés all within walking distance from the house. There are many activities to do within the local area.

Beautiful walks and horse riding with amazing scenery.

Local fishermen offer fishing trips from the estuary below the castle.

Dylan Thomas' boathouse, writing shed, former home and favourite pub are in Laugharne.

Laugharne Castle is well worth a visit with it's beautiful grounds and views over the estuary.

If you enjoy beaches and coastal walks then Pembrokeshire is a short drive away with it's award winning beaches and beautiful coastline. Pendine Sands is a few miles away with it's 7 mile long stretch of beach famous for record breaking speed attempts and has a Museum of Speed.

Carmarthen town is nearby with an array of shops, a cinema, theatre, restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

Oakwood theme park is a 20 minute drive away.

National Botanical Gardens of Wales is a must see if you're interested in nature or even if you're not and is a short drive away.
