About Fay Sutton

I have recently moved from South London with my family to seek some peace and quiet. I now live next to the cottage in a lovely old Grade 2 listed farm house. I have two small children, aged 9 and 11. I work in London 3 days a week as a IT Manager for the City of London. I love walking, swimming and cycling.

Fay Sutton purchased this cottage in 2015

Why Fay Sutton chose Suffolk

The cottage is blissfully quiet with no traffic noise. In the early morning the drive and vineyard is alive with wild rabbits and at dusk look out for the barn owl swooping low over the paddock. The local area is surrounded by quiet country lanes, footpaths and bridleways ideal for walking and cycling. The area is known for excellent local produce which can be purchased in many farm shops and consumed in numerous friendly and welcoming pubs.

What makes this cottage unique

Timeless and quintessential English seaside resort of Southwold is just 20 minutes away, for boating, beach huts and pier. Slightly further afield is Aldeburgh (famous for Benjamin Britain and its arts festivals), crabbing and smokies at Walberswick and the lost town of Dunwich.

The small town of Halesworth with its local shops and supermarket is a short drive away. To the north are the market towns of Bungay and Beccles. From both of these, day boats can be hired for a day relaxing and exploring the Norfolk Broads. Further north (40 mins drive) is the regional centre of Norwich with its market, shopping and castle.

Fab property, a real home from home

All the home comforts in the heart of the country. Brilliant place to unwind and reconnect with the family....the games room helped with that 😉 as well as the country walks.

Lovely rural location

  • 5 of 5

Great property for all ages, and levels of mobility. Our age groups ranged from early forties to mid eighties, and everyone had a great time. Warm comfortable, nice quiet location and the games room was a great place to escape to for a beer and a laugh.

Would come again.

Beautiful cottage in a wonderful location!

  • 5 of 5

Myself and 7 friends rented Fay's beautiful cottage for a weekend in September. It was absolutely wonderful and I can't fault it. The cottage is incredibly peaceful surrounded by vineyards and has a big gas BBQ and dining areas both inside and outside. We had some lovely brunches in the sunshine!

Fay was a brilliant host and even left us milk and tea and coffee for our arrival. I would recommend this place to anyone!
