Lovely refurbished 4 bedroom bungalow in fantastic location 5 minutes from beach

Whitegates is uniquely located nestled amongst quiet country lanes behind Braunton Burrows Biosphere Reserve. It is the perfect peaceful spot from which to explore the North Devon coast and it's surfing beaches. It's only a 5 minute drive to Saunton Sands beach and Braunton Village and a 10 minute drive to Croyde beach. Woolacombe Bay is a 20 minute drive.

The property sleeps 9 ( +1 travel cot provided on request) in 4 comfortable bedrooms. There is one king sized bedroom, one double bedroom, one twin room (with extra pull out single bed) and one bunk room. The bedrooms have ample storage and come complete with linen.

The family bathroom has a large bath, walk in shower, wash basin and WC. The ensuite bathroom has a walk in shower, wash basin and WC. Both have heated towel rails and bath towels are included.

The lounge, dining area and kitchen are open plan, light and airy, with oak flooring throughout. A solid oak dining table with matching benches and chairs seats up to 10 people (high chair available on request). The quality contemporary kitchen has plenty of surface and cupboard space. Appliances include a fridge/freezer and Mercury oven with grill and gas hob. There is an excellent supply of pots and pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery, including childrens.

The lounge has comfortable seating for 9 which includes a large leather corner sofa. Home entertainments include a 40" flat screen TV, Wii with games, DVD player and DVDs, books, local information and children toys. Free Wifi is included. The handy utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, belfast sink, space for boots and coats and an additional WC.

Large bifold doors open directly onto the family friendly garden. The large lawn is perfect for children and lawn games are included. There is a contempory BBQ/ firepit, 2 picnic benches and 6 deckchairs. The large trampoline (please use at own risk) and sandpit are perfect for children. A large courtyard drive provides off-street parking for 3+ cars. The polytunnel is perfect to store wetsuits, bikes, surfboards etc. There are even some tomato plants to help yourself to when ripe!

Excellent location & well equipped holiday house

We stayed at Whitegates for two weeks this August

Great location for us as we like to visit Saunton beach regularly plus like the village of Braunton. An added plus was a open garden/lawn for our children to play on.

We had a great stay at the house. There is so much space inside and out which really lends itself well to family living.

The view is beautiful, the house is comfortable and well equipped; what more could you want!

Great property and location

Whitegates is an excellent property. Very spacious and child friendly, lots of books, games and toys to keep little ones and big ones entertained. The garden is amazing, as is the trampoline, sand pit and additional garden toys. The property is very well appointed, especially the kitchen area, with washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room (very handy with little ones). You can also help yourself to tomatoes etc from the polytunnel.

Kate and Alan are very obliging and provide excelllent customer service.

The bungalow is positioned centrally to beaches and attractions. Braunton village is lovely with some good restaurants. It is very close to Saunton Sands (dogs allowed), Croyde beach (beautiful) and Woolacombe. Additional days spent in Ilfracombe at the harbour and the aquarium. A must to visit is Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur park.

I would definitely recomend Whitegates as a holiday property, and one day would look to return.
