Views over open farmland ideally situated for exploring the Suffolk coast

Updated: 09-Dec-2016
2 bedroomed cottage ideal for couples or young families. Dogs welcome.

Built circa 1750, these traditional timber framed cottages have been carefully renovated and fitted out to a high standard to offer comfortable accommodation whilst retaining many original features such as oak beams, wattle and daub walls and a bread oven.

Set back from the road, the cottage is centrally heated. On the ground floor the living/dining room has a large open fire, perfect for cosy winter evenings. The well equipped kitchen also has a microwave, freezer and washing machine.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms. The double has views to the front and the twin bedroom view to the back both over open fields. Blackout blinds are fitted at the windows. Also on the first floor is a good size bathroom with bath and walk in shower.

At the back is a small enclosed (with a low fence) garden set out with garden and chairs where you can enjoy the fabulous view over open farmland.

The village has an award winning pub and a good local shop where basic supplies can be bought. Both are within a short walk from the cottages.

The adjoining cottage is also available for holiday lettings.

8 Hill Cottage, lets do it again.

  • 4 of 5

8 Hill cottage was a well appointed , very clean and etremely comfortable my wife and I felt immediately at home. The peacefulness of the surroundings led to fantastic nights sleep. The cottage is well situated to vist Snape Maltings ,Aldeburgh , Dunwich and many other small towns and villages.

Halesworth is a fine town and the Italian restauarant in the Angel Hotel is worth a visit. The Queens Head Bramfield and the Queens Head Inn Blyford are also excellant serving local produce.

Although only a week in Bramfield , we had the feeling that it was longer I suppose due to the pace of life.

Once again I would recommend 8 Hill Cottage for a quiet break with your books or for a base to explore the coast and country areas.

Calm, secluded and restful.

No. 8 Hill Cottages is a truly picturesque and charming little cottage, perfect for that getaway-from-it-all holiday. It is beautifully furnished and cosy, well equipped with everything you could need for a self catering stay, and much more besides. It sits beside corn fields, front and back, and the views are marvellous. There is lots of wildlife for the naturalist and birdlover to spot and for the fisherman, the coast is just a short hop away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back one day.

From the Owner

We have been holidaying at Hill Cottages Suffolk for over 20 years, we love the slower pace of life, the relaxed atmosphere and the great local produce. When the adjoining cottages to our original cottage came on the market in recent years we decided to buy them so we could share this wonderful holiday location with others.
