Super location, comfortable house with a wow factor!

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have been more comfortable staying at this fabulous house in Fulham. Thanks to the owners who left their home well equipped for visitors, we enjoyed a great few days in London. The nearby tube and buses take you easily into the centre, yet the street is nice and quiet, such is the location of this pretty house. We were lucky to have hot sunny weather and so made the most of the terrace and garden at the property. The house had plenty of space for a three generation family to holiday together. We'd love to stay again. Organising the trip with Anne was made simple as she was, at all times, available and charming.

Thank you again.

Charming home, great area, enough room for the whole family...

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 stayed here for one week. We really enjoyed the decor in the home, very unique and interesting. Each bedroom was on it's own floor, and there was a small terrace in between floors that was perfect for morning tea. The adorable little half bath on the main floor was great to have along with the other two full bathrooms (with big, fluffy towels) upstairs. The kitchen is spacious with all the appliances you need to cook a meal for the family.

When we were told that a tenant needed access thru the house to be able to get to her small apartment in the backyard, we were a little hesitant, but the tenant was friendly and helpful throughout our stay and this was not a big deal at all. We did not use the patio off of the kitchen because it is kind of a shared area with the tenant and very close to her apartment. It felt like we would be practically talking right into her windows/front door if we used that patio. But the small terrace upstairs, and even the front patio area were nice options for some outside time. The whole house smelled like fresh flowers all the time from the owners beautiful gardens on the property.

The area is perfect, safe, clean, and charming. The tube stop is no more than a 5 minute walk away, and the stop is nice and big with a grocery store, starbucks, pharmacy, a few restaurants, etc. Getting to the major sightseeing areas of London are very simple from this stop. There is also plenty of cool little shops and restaurants in the Fulham area.

The only downfall was the unseasonably warm weather. This caused the house to get pretty hot and stuffy the first night, but the tenant let us borrow some oscillating fans for the bedrooms which was a big help.

I would definitely stay here again. It was really perfect!

A very pretty property perfect for a family holiday with excellent facilities and location.

Anne was a charming and helpful host and we would enthusiastically recommend the property to others. We stayed over the Christmas period and the house had been thoughtfully decorated and was very well equipped for cooking and entertaining.

We loved this home, so warm and comfortable. It was an oasis after long days of being tourists. The location is great, just a few minutes walk to the Fulham Broadway tube stop, so convenient! Would happily stay here again, the owners were very welcoming and gracious.

Location, location, location!

  • 4 of 5

The home is exactly as in the pictures, charming and very comfortable. The location is ideal in that it is close to the tube (underground, subway); close to buses that can take you wherever you want to go; banks; restaurants, pubs etc. The owners are very accommodating and helpful. There were some observations that we made known to the owners who have already told us that they will do some of the things we discussed. Granted that we were there for 2 weeks which may be longer than most people stay and thus our comments may have generated from the length of our stay. We don't believe that we need to discuss here what we talked about. Suffice it to say that should the situation occur we would have no problem staying there again.

Owner's Response: We are grateful to this guest for his feedback on his stay in our home. We have addressed a couple of his suggestions, i.e. putting a non-slip bath mat in the bathroom and adjusting one of the bedroom windows. He also thought a slow-drip coffee machine would be useful as he drinks a lot of coffee, but we provide a large and small cafetiere, which most guests seem to prefer. He also suggested we put screens on the bedroom windows, but although this is normal practice in parts of the USA, we have never come across these in the UK. Happily he and his family seemed to enjoy their holiday in our house and left it looking clean and tidy.

Wonderfully cozy!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful experience. The house was well-appointed with plenty of space and everything we needed. The owner's communications were clear, punctual and organized. The location couldn't have been better just a few minutes from the Tube and major bus routes. Of course there' are plenty of restaurants and shops in the local neighborhood without having to go far.
