2 Bedroom Beach Apartment in Great Village Location, 5 Mins Walk to the Beach

Sunny Corner is a new, comfortable and homely apartment near the centre of the picturesque coastal village of Crantock. It is just 5 minutes walk from the beach and the village shops, cafe and pub. It sleeps 4 to 5 people and has driveway parking for one car. It has a beautifully sunny decked area, which lives up to its name!

The main living area comprises of a large and spacious open plan sitting room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The large windows and south facing French doors means it is often flooded by the light and warmth of the sunshine, which makes it an ideal place to completely relax and unwind. The large double glass doors lead out to the South facing decked area which is sheltered from the onshore breezes creating a perfect sun trap for soaking up the Cornish sunshine. The decked area is equipped with table and 4 chairs for outside dining. With the doors pinned open, "Sunny Corner" provides the perfect opportunity for inside/outside living.

The property has a fully equipped kitchen with all you need, including a microwave, oven and hob, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and plenty of storage cupboards.

The dining area has a wooden extending table which can seat 4-6 people. (The pictures show the table un-extended - there are two additional leaves which can be pulled out).

The living area has a large 3 seater sofa and a single armchair, and is equipped with a digital TV (with freeview) and HDMI connectors (so guests can connect their personal laptops to the TV to watch DVDs, iplayers etc).

The two bedrooms are designed to be completely flexible. The master bedroom has zip and link beds which can either be made up as a luxury super king size bed (6ft wide) or as two single beds. The second bedroom has a double bunk bed with single bunk on top. Therefore both rooms can be set up for either a couple or for two individual people or children. A travel cot can also be provided on request.

The bedrooms are equipped with chest of drawers, wardrobe, bedside tables and side lamps and black out curtains ensuring a comfortable and restful night’s sleep.

The bathroom is ensuite (situated between the two bedrooms with Jack and Jill doors to both bedrooms). It has a bath, an over-bath electric shower, WC, washbasin with overhead light with electric shaving point and a heated towel rail.

The apartment also has laundry facilities including washing machine, tumble dryer, and airing racks.

There is off road parking on the driveway for one car.

The week commencing saturday 20th August 2016 is available as either a 7 or 8 night stay until either sat 27th or sun 28th August. The 8th night is available for just £55 extra.

We chose to live in Crantock because of it charming village feel, its stunning scenery and amazing beaches. Village life is great too, Crantock holds regular village events including the annul bale push, music in the park, and village fiesta!

fantastic holiday rental

very clean comfortable and well equipped.

owners very helpful if required but don't bother you unless you need them . information pack on arrival is extremely useful if you don't know the area .

crantock is a 5 min walk and it has 2 pubs and a local shop / bakery and a tea room .

the beach is a 5 min walk over fields but well worth it .

Lovely spot to stay in an idyllic location

Sunny corner was ideal for us as a family of 4. The kids loved the novelty of sleeping in bunk beds and with the larger bed on the bottom the option of them both sleeping together there was available.

The living room kitchen area is actually larger in reality than it looks in the photos. The kitchen was well equipped even though we didn't eat in much. We ate out most evenings and the best meal we had was in the Bolingey Inn. It was slightly off the beaten track near Peranporth but found out about it via TripAdvisor.

Probably the best thing about Sunny Corner was the proximity to Crantock beach. Via the path across the field it was only 5 minutes away and a fun descent down some steep sand dunes!! Great fun but slightly harder on the way back up. The beach itself is probably the best one I've been to in Cornwall.

All in all we had a great week and would love to stay there again at some point in the future.

Great Holiday Base

The photos provide an accurate picture of the property.Clean,well maintained,stylish decor.Use of the laundry facilities is a bonus.Plenty of space ,although there were only two of us.Great kitchen facilities.The location was the main selling point for us.Crantock seemed a world away from Newquay but only three miles from the supermarkets.Situated at the edge of the village its an easy stroll down to the dunes and the awesome beach.Several pubs within walking distance,all doing food.

Lovely Apartment and great location

Stayed here recentely for 4 nights with my family. The place was great with more than enough room for the 5 of us. The terrace area was a real bonus as it really caught the sun and gave our kids an outdoor run around space. The location is amazing, with Crantock beach being 5 mins walk away, and with Polly Joke and Holywell being a bit further away but still walkable.

The property was clean and very tidy and communication with the owners was excellent, answering any questions very quickly. We would definitely stay here again

Stunning location, lovely apartment!

This apartment is beautifully furnished, very clean and comfortable and very well equipped. The WiFi wasn't the best signal, but worked OK, but this was a nice change from the norm for us!

The location is amazing, 5 minutes walk from Crantock beach, which is stunning. Plenty of pubs/restaurants/tea rooms in walking distance. Plenty of great walks from the front door for all abilities.

The hosts are very friendly and always on hand to offer local advice or assistance if required.

Perfect holiday apartment in beautiful Crantock

We stayed at this apartment in July/Aug as a family with 2 children. We had a wonderful time. The apartment is ideally placed for a stroll into the pretty village of Crantock or Pentire. Turn right out of the property and literally walk across the fields and you arrive at the fabulous Crantock beach. This was a perfect base for exploring other parts of Cornwall too. Accommodation was clean, bright with good facilities and the children loved the bunk beds. The owner was extremely helpful from the word go and left a nice welcome letter/pack. We would def recommend.

The property is located in the rural village of Crantock, just a 5 minute walk, via a country footpath, from the wide sweeping sandy bay of Crantock, where guests can enjoy the stunning National Trust coastline and the long golden sands of Crantock Bay.

The bay is lifeguard patrolled and perfect for swimming, surfing and body boarding. There are plenty of watersports on offer with kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and surfing all available for hire and/or lessons.

The picturesque village of Crantock, with its lovely thatched cottages, offers a tea room, a 400 year old thatched pub serving good quality food, a bakery, a beach café, a grocery store, a post office and a cliff top restaurant overlooking the sea.

The beach and surrounding headlands form part of the beautiful National Trust Conservation Area. To the North of the bay lies the Gannel estuary which has created a beautiful sandy haven for countless seabirds, with plenty of rock pools to explore and great opportunities for catching crabs with the children. Or why not enjoy a leisurely evening stroll along the rivers edge at high tide and see what you can see?

Nearby is the secluded beach of Polly Joke, without a car park and only accessed via a footpath - it is perfect for relaxing far away from it all.

Also nearby, is the vibrant fishing town of Newquay, which can be accessed by foot, ferry or road from Crantock. Newquay has excellent attractions for both adults and children, including a zoo, aquarium, indoor fun pool with flumes, boating lake and a theme park. Newquay also boasts 4 large beaches, which offer a variety of water based activities including, surfing lessons, coasteering, paddle boarding and fishing trips.

The BBC’s description of Crantock: “This quaint hidden cove is the place to escape the rowdy hordes in nearby Newquay. Set at the bottom of a quintessentially English village with two charming pubs, you’ll find it by wandering through the National Trust car park. Scale the looming dune and you’ll be rewarded with a goose-pimple inducing view. To the right of the bay, the tidal River Gannel offers ferry runs from the beach to Fern Pit. Here you can order a cooked lobster, caught that morning, or opt for a stunning cliff top walk along the headland overlooking the bay”.

For Golf enthusiasts there is Newquay’s Golf Club - an 18 hole course with magnificent sea views which is part of the Reciprocal Golf Network. Or you can walk across Cubert common to Holywell Bay’s golf club.

Crantock is also a great base for visiting the cathedral town of Truro (13 miles away), which has excellent shopping, museums and restaurants. A little further is the harbour town of Falmouth (23 miles away), with a fantastic maritime museum and plenty of opportunities for windsurfing, kayaking and sailing.

Other local attractions include the world famous Eden Project (Botanical Gardens) (21 miles away) and The Lost Gardens of Helligan and other national trust houses and gardens. Similarly children will have plenty to do with many local activity centres and theme parks.
