2 bedroom home with parking and garden. 20 minutes walk to centre of Keswick

This is a warm and comfortable 2 bedroomed house sleeping 3/4. 20 minute walk to centre of Keswick with lots of walks and cycle rides straight from the door. It is just a few minutes from the old railway cycle path. Storage available for bikes. There is a spacious lounge, dining kitchen double bedroom, and bathroom. The second bedroom is very spacious as a single room and can be provided with 2 twin beds if needed.

The house is owned by Helen and John Knapp. Helen grew up in Cumbria and went to school in Keswick. We both enjoy visiting and walking in the fells.

Lovely stay in Keswick

We had never been to the Lake District before. Keswick ended up being a great place to explore from. And we enjoyed this house as it was just the right distance from town--easy to walk to, but not bothered by the crowds!

We found the house neat and clean. The kitchen was well supplied with what is needed to cook and serve. Great bathroom with huge tub and great shower head. The beds were comfortable. The owner, Helen, was helpful and always available to answer questions.

You can take many walks right from the house (so nice to not have to get into the car). There are many hiking maps and books (we added 3 of ours to the collection) so there is no need to buy and bring any.

We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable house!

A wonderful cottage with all the comforts required for a lovely holiday

Excellent communication from the owner prior to our holiday.

A very well located cottage with excellent parking. Only a 20minute walk to Keswick centre.

Very well maintained, comfortable & everything you could need for a week away.

We loved it & it will be our choice should we holiday in Keswick again.

Loved our stay at The Hawthorns. There was everything you could possibly need and more. It felt like home from home. Loved the area, close to bus routes which we used every day. Some lovely places to eat in Keswick, we loved The Wainwright , the food was piping hot and good value as well as being homely. We can't wait to return again next year

Helen's house was wonderful. It felt like home. The house had everything needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and was nicely furnished. It was very clean. The garden was lovely to sit in and enjoy the summer evenings. Having a front yard in which to park a car was excellent. It is situated in a quiet location, a pleasant 20 minute walk to the centre of Keswick. Buses pass the front door. Countless walking opportunities are very close. A lovely stay and sad when the time came to leave.

Very nice property in Keswick

Ideal property for our short 3 day stay in the Lakes. Good size rooms for 3-4 people and well provided with everything you could want - including a bottle of wine on arrival - ta for that!. It is an easy 20 minute stroll into Keswick which builds a good hunger for eating and drinks in any of the many great pubs in the town centre - Wainwrights was our particular favourite. Would definitely stay here again - Really easy to get around for walking in many parts of the lakes from this well positioned accommodation
