With views over glorious countryside, this detached barn conversion lies just 4 miles from the cove at Crackington Haven and the superb beaches of the North Cornish Coast. Set in a secluded farming hamlet, it offers spacious and comfortable, split-level holiday accommodation with many original features, including a large granite fireplace and exposed beams. For walkers, the spectacular coastal path is within a few miles. Shop/PO, garage/fuel and pub 2½ miles.

We have BT Fibre-Optic WIFI straight into the home, ensuring the fastest WIFI speeds in the area, plus an extensive BT TV entertainment plus package, with all BT Sports channels PLUS Sky Sports 1 and 2!

Wonderful family home away from home.

Great location near amazing beaches, and right on A39 to explore further afield. Garden is huge and perfect for family games, with a lovely BBQ area too. Large communal areas and comfy bedrooms. Highly recommend.

Lovely cornwall holidays

We had a really good time,property with a big front room and huge garden kids loved it also the best beach we found only 10 mins driving crakington.heaven plus we had some lovely weather which made it for us

Idyllic, Charming and Beautiful!

I selected The Old Barn as a short break location for myself and a few friends based on the fabulous photographs and write up on Owners Direct. The reality of the place however was even better. Well equipped and spacious for modern living but full of the charm and feel of a holiday cottage in a beautiful part of North Cornwall. We instantly felt an overwhelming sense of relaxation when we set foot inside and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We will most definitely return to this hidden jewel of a holiday property!

Rural idyll

This very spacious property is located in a quiet lane away from the mass of holidaymakers in the area and about 5 miles from the coast. There is a huge private garden perfect for children. The house has large living room and kitchen/ dining. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and had more than enough space to spread out. There are lost of villages and beaches to visit and plenty of pub/restaurants and shops within easy reach. I would recommend this property as a better option than staying on the busy coast.

Ideal base for family holiday

The house was spacious and very well-appointed, with all we needed for a three-generation family holiday. Lovely large child-safe garden and quiet location, with easy car access to beaches and pubs. Would certainly recommend to other families.

The Old Barn is a truly special place offering complete solitude if required, yet within minutes of glorious beaches, countryside pubs and glorious walks. 15 mins from Bude to the North and Camelford to the South. Rock/Padstow just 30 mins away. The Old Barn holds precious family memories for us all and is one of those few places in the world you walk into and just relax and unwind immediately!

Nearest Airport : Newquay at 35 Miles Nearest Barpub : The Wainhouse Inn at 2.5 Miles Nearest Ferry : Rock at 25 Miles Nearest Golf : Bude at 10 Miles Nearest Train : Bodmin at 35 Miles Nearest Motorway : M5 at 60 Miles Nearest Restaurant : The Wainhouse Inn at 2.5 Miles Nearest Beach : Crackington Haven at 4 Miles Car: necessary

The famous seaside village of Boscastle is only approx. 10miles away. A visit to Trebarwith Strand and The Port William Pub is a favourite of ours, as is a walk on beautiful Daymer Bay and visits to the wonderful surfing beach of Polzeath and lunch at The Rock Inn.

Also, get the ferry from Rock over to Padstow for the day.

Bude is 15 mins away by car and has a great selection of surf shops and other general shops, cafes, restaurants and fantastic beaches. Summerleaze beach is a favourite of ours.

Finally, a pint at The Bay View Inn along the coast road from Bude to Widemouth Bay is a must. A great pub, as is The Coombe Barton on the beach at Crackington Haven and The Wainhouse Inn (our 'local' closest to The Old Barn).

If you love fish and chips...take a trip to Camelford and visit 'Peckish'. It has won Fish and Chip shop of the year countless times and you will not be disappointed!

Other favourite restaurants of ours are, Life's a Beach in Bude; The Bay View Inn at Widemouth Bay; Sunday roast at The Wainhouse Inn; The Port William at Trebarwith Strand; The Rock Inn at Rock.

The view from the patio is just amazing! Rolling fields and the distant noise of cows and sheep ensure you relax as soon as you enter! The Old barn has always been one of those truly special places for our family. On a clear night, the stars are magical as there is no light pollution. The living room and large granite fire place, with wood burning stove is equally delightful both in Summer and for those dark Winter evenings! Along with BT Infinity Fibre-Optic WIFI connectivity straight into our home; integrated BOSE surround system and 42 inch flat screen LG TV (with extensive BT TV channel availability, including all BT Sports and HD channels) - all your audio-visual and communications needs are catered for!
