Holiday apartment on a Chateau Estate near Paris, Eurodisney and Champagne area

2 bedroom apartment (sleeps 5) in a converted Orangery on a Chateau Estate, 35 minutes from EuroDisney. Set amidst 40 acre private grounds, with heated outdoor pool and tennis court (May-Sept). 40 minutes from Paris or CDG airport by car, or 50 minutes into Paris by direct train. Two en suite bedrooms, sleeps 5.

The apartment has a ground floor open plan kitchen-diner, with patio doors onto the front terrace overlooking the picturesque Chateau de la Trousse, and back terrace onto the formal gardens towards the swimming pool. First floor has a double-bed and en-suite shower and toilet. Upper floor has three beds, with en-suite shower and toilet.

There are formal gardens and pond, woodland and orchard. 40 acres to explore. The Orangery is 5 minutes' drive into Lizy-sur-Ourq where there is a direct train (free parking) to Gare de l'Est and supermarkets and bakers. Set in glorious countryside, close to the Champagne region. Car needed.

Fully equipped for self-catering holidays. This is our holiday home and we'd love you to enjoy it too. The video shows the estate, but it's not our apartment in the video. This is an exclusive private Chateau estate – please respect the history of the place and the privacy of other owners and their guests. We love it and we’re sure you will too.

Attractive chateau setting

Good location with easy train access to Paris. Apartment would be well suited for a family and not so much for 2 adult couples. Bed room on upper floor with 3 twin beds is good for children but stairs to this level would be challenging for older adults. Our visit was in the middle of May and the upper floor was very warm with little cooling effect from the fan. Grounds and outdoor setting was lovely.

A lovely place to stay with lots of french charm

The apartment is in the Orangery of a French Chateau. It is nicely fitted out and comfortable, The grounds of the property are extensive and have a lot of charm. We had a great time and would stay again.

The property was as described and directions provided made it easy to find.

Fantastic property in gorgeous surroundings

We had a brilliant stay at the Orangery and many hours of fun on the tennis court! Property was very well equipped with very comfortable beds. Both the front garden and back garden provide beautiful views of the chateau and gardens. We went to Paris for the day from the station 5 mins down the road. Very easy journey and station parking free. Would love to return one day.

Loved this peaceful place!

Beautiful countryside, fabulous, quaint place. Idyllic! Great for our 2 tweens and their 2 parents. Easily sleeps 5. Main bed and bath on second floor, twin beds (3) on third floor with their own bathroom. Lots of extras like tennis rackets, bocce ball etc. living space is small but really well done. Fabulous garden view from the stove when cooking breakfast on sunny mornings and of course wonderful courtyard on the front as well. Host very responsive and easy to work with. You need to rent sheets and towels if you aren't bringing your own. Very happy with this location!

Excellent property, great location.

We had the pleasure of staying in The Orangery for a short trip over the new year period. The property was comfortable, clean and well-equipped, the communal chateau grounds a delight. The trip was partly to allow our children access to Disneyland Paris, easily accessible, but it was a pleasure to return to the peace and calm of La Trousse after a long day. We would thoroughly recommend this property, many thanks to the very helpful owners.

Delightful!

A Delightful discovery! The double planted avenue of plane trees forecast something very special at the end of it and we were not disappointed. We arrived at the beautiful gates marking the entrance to Chateau de la Trousse where she quietly dominates the vista beyond. The Orangerie sitting to one side of the entrance was no poor relation...... It too had a wonderful pair of gates that we entered to the doorway of our accommodation. For the next four days and nights we embraced this delightful pied de terre. It was spotlessly clean from top to toe, with quirky decor, comfy beds, cosy wood burner and lashings of hot water. We soon settled into our stylish surroundings.

The gardens of the estate were at our disposal, although initially we were uncertain where we could explore as no information directed the possibilities. Human nature got the better of us and soon we were reliving a bygone era in the beautiful greenhouse. Its tiered staging stirred the imagination with what would have been wonderful plant displays many years before. The walled garden whispered its past to us as we crunched along the gravel paths laced with ancient peach and forgotten apple varieties . Still charming if somewhat neglected. The rest of the gardens we wandered and relished with each and every step.

We surmised that the Grande Dame Chateau de la Trousee is actually now individual appartements frequented by europeans as a second home or indeed a holiday let as indeed is the Orangerie and the converted buildings opposite.

We claimed this incredible place as our own and relished in the peace and tranquillity that surrounded us during our visit.

A great discovery where we all enjoyed delusions of grandeur for a few special days .
