Traditional 2-bedroom, Ground-floor Apartment In Accessible Coastal Village

Comfortable, convenient and casual. This apartment is set in the sought-after village of Aberdour on the north coast of the Firth of Forth. A great area for walking, cycling and exploring, the village has award-winning beaches, a harbour, several eateries, golf course and the prettiest railway station I've ever seen. 35 mins on the train will get you to Edinburgh and Aberdour is an excellent base from which to explore the rest of Fife. [Golfers: You can get to plenty of courses within an hour's drive including Gleneagles and St. Andrews.] [Walkers: On the Fife Coastal Path and we're dog-friendly; just ask.] [Cyclists: there's room for your bikes.]

The main bedroom has a super-king double bed that can be split into 2 singles. The second bedroom has a double bed but is best suited to just one person (but you can put 2 in there if you want). The flat is one of 4 in a purpose built traditional-style building that is over 100 years old and has original wooden floors throughout. The central heating and double glazing keep it warm plus we've also added a gas range cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, TV and broadband (none of which have been there for 100 years!).

The modern bathroom has a shower and bath (for your soak after a hard day's golfing/walking). Both the kitchen/diner and the separate lounge are spacious so you can choose to chill alone or gather together in either one.

Through the french doors off the kitchen/diner there's a private, sheltered courtyard ideal for relaxing with a beverage of your choice on a sunny afternoon. There's also a small shed large enough to get your pushbikes in and under lock and key.

Town Not To Miss, Accomadation First Class

The property was exellent ,very comfortable warm and cosy.Lindsay looks after the flat extremely well .Kitchen well equipped ,French door into rear garden which is very compact.

Aberdour is a really nice town very friendly population ,well situated for touring no great distances involved depending where you want to visit..Numerous foot paths several leading to a beautifull beach.

Fantastic flat, fantastic village

My sister and I stayed at 1 Murray Place, Aberdour for two weeks in September. We knew the flat would be lovely just by the pictures, but we fell in love with it when we arrived. Everything you need is right there. And if you can't figure something out on your own, Lindsay goes the extra mile and includes step by step instructions.

We also fell in love with Aberdour! Everyone we met was friendly and helpful, but that might be a Scottish thing. No matter where we went, the Scots people were friendly. We will definitely be going back! And it won't take us 16 years next time, either!

Beautiful flat in a great location

We have just returned home after a few days in Aberdour. The house is lovely & spacious. Especially the kitchen, oh I loved that kitchen!! Lol. It's very well equipped & has everything we could have asked for. The purple shop is only 2 minutes away if you need anything. The flat is in a great location for the beach, the train station & the Fife coastal walks.

Lindsay was very helpful throughout. I'd highly recommend this property. We had a lovely time. Thank you for having us. Anne, Millar & poppy the spaniel

Great Experience in Aberdour

Just returned from 3 weeks in Northern Scotland spending our last 5 days at this delightful flat. Unit is well equipped and makes you feel like you are living in Scotland. Great town with everything you need. Took the train into Edinburgh on 2 different days. Very reasonable on the off peak hours and very easy to access. 30 minute train ride to Waverly station. Also took day trips to St Andrews and the beaches. I would highly recommend this flat.
