Overview

About the property

Sleeps 8 (4 bedrooms) 3 bathrooms

Finca Vertent is located in the quite country side near Pollensa on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Mallorca.

The Villa is an easy 40 minute drive from Palma Airport and a mere 5 minute drive to the historic Old Town's of both Pollenca and Alcudia. And again a mere 5 minuet drive to the beaches of both Puerto Pollenca and Alcudia, including all there restaurants, cafes and shops making it the ideal location being right in the middle of the best of Mallorca.

The villa is a lovely Mallorcan stone farmhouse that has been completely refurbished to the highest standard. It includes a marble non-chlorine swimming pool with roman steps, and a newly planted lawn area that surrounds the pool, as well as lovely established trees and shrubs. Your will be spoilt for choice here.

The villa boasts a wonderful huge new covered barbeque area, it's just ideal for barbeques and outside dinning.

Adjacent to the pool and separate from the main house, it includes a brick barbeque with spit and shelving. A large outside dining table, rustic double sinks and even a separate gas hob as well as an exterior wc, shower and washing machine.

The extensive patio area is ideal for sunbathing and for children to play and there is even a small ramp for those with walking difficulties to access the villa.

The front door leads into a large open-plan lounge and dining room with sloping beamed ceilings, decorated in a country style, the large wood dining table sits eight people and sofas seating all with a homely interior decoration.

The kitchen is separated from the lounge and dinning room by a breakfast bar, the kitchen it's self has dark wood units and marble tops. There is a split level oven, gas hob and dishwasher, along with a microwave and a large fridge freezer.

An arch from the lounge dining room leads through to two ground level bedrooms. There is a pretty twin bedroom here with a separate bathroom with walk in shower decorated in striking green tiles with pale green stuccoed walls. (Its ideal for anyone with mobility problems as the shower only has a small step get in)

The second bedroom here is also a double bedroom with an enormous king size bed. This room has an en-suite shower bathroom decorated in fresh blue stucco.

The lounge leads through into a hall where there is the owners collection of Mallorcan plates and other items, which includes two rocking chairs, another door out onto the pool and terrace and stairs.

The stairs leads up to the two bedrooms on the second floor, one with large double antique bed and large dark wood wardrobes in the traditional Mallorcan style. And the other is a bright twin bedroom again with large wardrobes. Between both bedrooms is a large full bathroom with twin decorative porcelain sinks, both with vanity mirrors.

Both of the two bedrooms on this upper level share an enormous sun terrace which runs the length of the house which is furnished with table and chairs to sit out in and it is an ideal place to sit with your morning coffee. The incredible views from here look over the countryside right down to the sea in the bay of Pollensa from Alcudia and over to Formentor.

Notes:
Originally a fishing village, the enchanting resort of Puerto Pollensa has everything, wonderful scenery, beautiful sandy beaches, fantastic cuisine and a laid-back friendly atmosphere. The sheltered horseshoe shaped bay is set against the stunning backdrop of the Tramuntana mountain range. The resort of Puerto Pollensa is arguably Mallorcas finest. Despite its success, Puerto Pollensa has managed to retain its charm and a somewhat understated character as well as its rather exclusive feel.

Amazing house and pool in great location, 10 mins drive from beautiful beaches and good restaurants.

  • 5 of 5

Very good overall. Josep and his son were very easy to contact and resolved an issue very quickly for us. Kids loved the pool and the accommodation is very spacious. Excellent bbq and outside seating area (with fridge) by pool and we were there most of the time we were at the villa.

It would have been helpful if there had been a 'general information' folder there (emergency numbers, what to do with the bins, suggestions for restaurants and beaches etc.). Also, a few small touches would have made it really easy for us when we got there - there was no dish cloth or scourer, no washing up liquid, no bin bags, very little toilet roll, cooking oil, salt and pepper etc..

Overall a lovely holiday and great villa and pool.

Private, Spacious and Simply Gorgeous!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful villa situated off a quiet track set in tranquil countryside. The property is exactly as described - open plan living/dining/kitchen area and loads of seating outside on the terrace and in the BBQ area. The pool was clean and warm temperature and the hot tub was a fab extra! About 10 mins drive to the supermarkets and short drive close to Pollensa, Alcudia and Puerto Pollensa. Fantastic location as we like quiet and secluded but close enough to Puerto Pollensa for some really good restaurants. I'd definitely recommend this villa to my friends and will definitely be going back there!

The most beautiful and picturesque area of Mallorca is the Pollenca region which has a unique charm and beauty, and is the ideal destination for quality, family villa holidays. Pollença Old Town is a peaceful and tranquil town that remains very typically Spanish. It is four miles from the coast, nestling between two hills at the eastern end of the Tramuntana mountains. Pollença itself is indisputably pretty. Historic buildings with ochre roofs, sun-baked walls and wooden shutters line the narrow and twisting medieval streets. There are pastel-painted houses in the centre and Moorish water mills on the outskirts. It's also a haven of sleepy Mallorcan traditions - café life and the siesta roll on here as they always have. The heart of the old town is the central square, Plaça Major, where there are many café-bars and fine restaurants. Pollença also has lots of galleries of Mallorcan art and design, and a town museum. The most famous walk in Pollença is up the 365 steps of the tree-lined 'Calvario' - the Calvari Hill. There is a tiny church at the top with amazing views over the town and across wooded valleys to the sea Puerto Pollensa is host to long sandy beaches that curve around the bay and are divided by breakwaters and so are ideal for children. There are also a number of small, natural, sand and pebble beaches to explore. The atmosphere in Puerto Pollensa is relaxed with no loud discos or nightclubs, but a fine variety of open-air cafés, restaurants, boutiques and shops. The countryside around Pollenca Old Town and Puerto Pollensa is amongst the most stunning and picturesque in the Mediterranean. Lush green dramatic valleys, littered with grazing mountain goats and sheep and beautiful rural farmland hillsides dotted around picturesque monastery's and farms are the typical view from your garden here.
