About The Owner

Helen and Ian Wareham bought Bodfan in 2015 having had annual very happy family holidays there with extended family.

Helen has been every year since her parents discovered this beautiful place when she was just 11.

Why The Owner chose Morfa Nefyn

Bodfan is fantastically located for all the facilities at Morfa Nefyn.

Because of its size, it is perfect for a large family or for multiple families, groups of friends who want to holiday together.

Having holidayed with 3 generations of their family for many years, Helen and Ian have set the house up to incorporate excellent communal and entertaining areas, whilst leaving plenty of room for the children and teenagers to have their own space, allowing the adults can also get some peace and quiet.

What makes this house unique

Bodfan is a home from home, with everything you could need during your stay.

Sleeps 12 people. Fabulous diner kitchen which can seat all guests. One of the bedrooms set up as a playroom too. Off road parking for up to 5 cars.

Large and Lovely Welsh Home from Home !

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful holiday we've had at Bodfan!! We have been very excited about coming and this amazingly beautiful house has surpassed all our expectations. It is so comfortable and spacious and immaculately maintained and furnished. Everything you could wish for is on hand at Bodfan to make staying there in a big family group a dream. We celebrated a tenth wedding anniversary and a 65th birthday at Bodfan as a group of 8 adults and two toddlers. We enjoyed some lovely meals at The Cliffs Inn and The Bryncynan which are both very close to Bodfan. The little ones enjoyed playing in the safely enclosed back garden and in the playground just up the road. We also enjoyed Morfa Nefyn's beautiful beach and trips to the beaches at Abersoch, Aberdaron and Pwllheli. The April weather was very kind to us too which was a bonus. Very many thanks to Helen and the Wareham family for allowing us to stay in beautiful Bodfan. It has been lovely corresponding with Helen and she has been extremely helpful and very thoughtful in every way. I do hope to return to Bodfan one day and would highly recommend it to family and friends.

Brilliant location and great house.

  • 5 of 5

We arrived on Friday evening to find everything we would need as a family of 8 adults and 2 children. The house is a great size for all of us and was very well equipped, more so than in other houses we've stayed in. The shop across the way had a great variety of items, there was a nice pub less than 10 minutes walk away and the gorgeous beach gave us spectacular views. I would highly recommend this house and the owner was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. We all agreed that we would definitely stay here again.

Lovely half term holiday in Morfa Nefyn

  • 5 of 5

We had a brilliant stay in Bodfan, 6 adults, 3 children and 2 babies.

The location is lovely being just a short 10 minute walk to the nearest beach. At low tide you can walk along the beach to the Ty Coch which I can't recommend enough http://www.tycoch.co.uk/. At high tide it can easily be reached via the golf course and it really is worth a visit for it's great selection of proper beer and lovely sandwiches.

The Cliffs Inn is en-route to the beach and their food is delicious.

Bodfan provided plenty of space for all 11 of us. Comfortably furnished and well equipped with lots of homely touches throughout. It's a great base for the local area and was perfect for cosy nights in catching up with family while the children slept upstairs.

A fabulous house for a family holiday

  • 5 of 5

We recently had a two weeks' stay at Bodfan - 12 of us for part of the time, spread over three generations - and the house accommodated us extremely well. We never felt on top of each other as there are several rooms and places in which to sit or be. The spacious kitchen coped with our large number admirably and we did not feel on top of each other. The children's bedroom with TV and toys on the first floor proved to be a great facility. On arrival the house was very clean and tidy and was as described in the accommodation details. The terrace at the back is large with enough dining seating for 12. The small, contained grassed area is great to sit in or for children to safely play in. We parked several cars round the back of the house.

Bodfan has been nicely modernised, it is light and attractively furnished and has all you need for a great family holiday. The kitchen is very well knitted out and easy to use. The bedrooms on the second floor are really very nice; white paint, neutral walls and blinds and somehow very restful. I enjoyed sleeping in the twin bedded room and one of my grand-daughters came up and joined me as she liked it up there too.

I have been going to Nefyn for 58 years so I may be a bit biased but it is a wonderful place to holiday if you like being active. Bodfan is very well placed as you are five minutes walk from Morfa Nefyn beach - and about 20 minutes' walk from Porthdinllaen one way and Nefyn beach the other. We had one week of sunshine, the second was grey and a little wet at times but we enjoyed them both. There is a lot you can do if you like being outdoors and Bodfan is a great place to go back to at the end of the day. The Morfa Nefyn shops are great and you can get all you need locally.

Helen, the owner, was very helpful and quick to respond. I recommend Bodfan wholeheartedly and would book it again.
