Sometimes you go to a place and you feel a little underwhelmed as the photos are just too good, well, this Villa lives up to the photos and our expectations. Good area, 25 TL to town this year in a taxi, or the boat, nice and quiet in evenings, very clearly se to three beach clubs. Its not worth me going on, its as good as you will hope for. If you can get a car I would recommend it, Kaputas, Patara and Islamlar are all worth a visit, I'm sure you could bus it though. Find Metins taxi card on the fridge, great taxi driver, cool music, send him a Spotify playlist and he'll have it on for you. All in all a fantastic second visit to Kalkan.

Perfection

My wife and I stayed in Villa Olive Tree for a week in September 2018. Our flight arrival time meant we didn’t arrive at the villa until about 4:00am but local management was there to ensure the handover was completed in person. (By the way, I organised a flawless return airport transfers with Frenk). On walking up the steps to the villa and then entering the property we were immediately impressed with this stylish, high quality and beautifully appointed two-story property. A welcome pack was provided with essential provisions but it was straight to bed for us after a long journey. The next morning gave us the opportunity to see the villa in daylight and really appreciate all that it offers. We enjoyed breakfast in the garden sitting beside the pool looking at the view out to sea from our elevated position. Later in the evening this setting would supply spectacular views of the sun setting. The facilities within the villa are as described in the particulars. Perfect for a couple but note the second bedroom contains 2 x single beds so unsuitable if you wish to go on holiday with another couple but ideal for two kids. The villa is situated just outside Kalkan in an area called Kisla but Kalkan town centre is matter of minutes away in a taxi and within walking distance if you’re feeling active. If I recall, there were limited eating options in Kisla should you wish to dine nearby the villa. Fidanka Hotel had a good restaurant. The Castle Restaurant is directly opposite the villa however I could not recommend it for food as we were very disappointed — mind you, you’ll receive a warm welcome and good coffee. Food is one of the main attractions for us in Kalkan with a multitude of quality restaurants in the town centre. If you have never been to this area of Turkey then I can only encourage you to make sure you go...and stay in Villa Olive Tree! Some tips to share would include to consider bringing a some dishwasher and washing machine tablets as these appliances are there in the kitchen for your use (some dishwasher tablets were in the welcome pack but it would save you buying more). There is WiFi available but you may have to set up a VPN if you wanted to stream channels such as BBC iPlayer. An Nespresso coffee machine would be a welcome addition. There is very little criticism that we can think of in respect of my dealings with Frenk in the booking process and our stay in the villa. It’s near perfection!

A beautiful villa, ideal situation

An idyllic villa, beautifully presented in a fantastic location . I would highly recommend this villa , it is in a quieter part of Kalkan , Kisla , very close to two great beach clubs It’s a very special place , Frenk and Lisette are so helpful and informative .

We are Lisette and Frenk. We are Dutch and presently live in Amsterdam. We like to travel around the world. We lived and worked many years abroad in countries in Africa, South Asia and the Americas. We searched in Europe for three years for a holiday home and accidentally decided to have a look in Turkey. We found our piece of paradise in Kalkan, a seaside village with a wonderful atmosphere and a tropical feel.

Why they chose this property

We first bought neighbouring Villa Bella and know the advantages of the location. When the opportunity presented itself to buy villa Olive Tree, we saw the possibilities for combined rental for more guests who are keen on privacy, for example two families.
