About The Owner

I visited the island several years ago and loved it , I visited again in 2014 and again in 2015 , this time I decided I wanted to buy an apartment , I bought the apartment of a couple called Iain and Liz , they kept the apartment lovely over the years , and I will continue to holiday in the apartment every year, ensuring it remains well maintained for my guests.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2015

Why The Owner chose Balearic Islands

Son Bou has one of the nicest, most child-friendly beaches on the island. In fact, it's the longest on the island - almost 3km of golden sand. If you prefer a pool to the beach, don't worry, as you will have a choice of three: one at Zone 3 (where the apartment is), one at Zone 5 (5/6 mins walk) and one at Club San Jaime (2 mins walk).

The resort also has plenty of amenities, such as shops, restaurants and small supermarkets. It is centrally located on the southern side of the island, which is great if you are exploring further afield, such as the towns of Mahon or Ciutadella, or heading north to the fishing villlage of Fornells.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is on a corner plot on the outermost edge of Zone 3, Son Bou Gardens. This means it's less than a 10 min walk to the beach, but also it's at the quiet end of Zone 3, opposite a lovely Spanish bakery and patisserie - very handy in the mornings and lunchtime!

Because it's a first floor corner plot, it's much lighter and airier inside than other terraced apartments. Also, because the first floor is the top floor, there's plenty of privacy on the front and rear terraces.

When I first saw the apartment, I was impressed with the refurbishments the last owner had made. I have continued to modernise the apartment since then (e.g. TV, DVD , WI-FI, new furniture, furnishings, fitted wardrobes) to try and make it as modern and as comfortable as possible for guests.

Nicks property is excellent , very modern and well presented , have stayed at a few rented property's at son bou , this is the best by a mile , will rent again , Nick made everything easy for our stay , brilliant.

Amazing

The apartment was amazing it had everything you needed and more for your holiday it was clean and tidy and also had information on where is best places to eat and places to visit. The apartment was not far from places to eat and the beach as well as the 3 pools you can use. It was a great holiday and my kids loved every minute of it and we will Deffo be going back. The owner of the apartment was at hand over the phone for help if I needed it overall it was a great apartment and holiday and would recommend to my friends

Gorgeous Apartment! Perfectly Located!

We've really enjoyed our week in this beautifully decorated and maintained apartment. Upon arrival it was spotlessly clean. It has everything you need to make you feel you are in a home away from home.

I spoke with Nick a couple of times before booking (being a paranoid Mum of an 11 month old) and he was so friendly and helpful. The information sent through to us and in the apartment was really useful and we worked our way through his restaurant recommendations throughout the week (our fave was Casa Andres)

Location wise - The play area, swimming pool, pool bar (with bouncy castle in the evening) are a 1 minute walk away and the restaurants and bars of the resort are within 5-10 minutes. The gorgeous beach is approx 10 mins away.

All in all everything you need for a perfect family holiday!

The only downside to the apartment is the bakery is right behind it and my clothes started to feel a little tight nearing the end of the week.

Fabulous Week in a Lovely Apartment

Wow! What a lovely apartment - we couldn't have found a more perfect located apartment in Son Bou Gardens. This was across from the Bakery, which in turn is just around the corner from the Supermarket and one of the best pools on the complex. It was only a 5-10 minute walk to the bars and restaurants in Son Bou, and just a few more minutes to the beach.

The apartment was very well equipped and very clean! We had such a lovely time there, and will definitely be wanting to return next year!

Lovely stay with great facilities on the doorstep

Very conveniently located for the beach, restaurants, shops, a bakery and swimming pools all within walking distance. There is good public transport for access to Mahon which is definitely worth a visit or hire a car and explore the island. The whole area is more geared up to younger children, probably not enough to keep a teenager busy but my kids are 5 and 8 so it was the stunning beach or swimming pool every day. The facilities in the apartment were great and we had a very comfortable stay. The children's park out the front of the property was a particular favourite with plenty of room to kick a ball around and play chase.

Further Details:

Son Bou has a wide variety of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars, predominantly Spanish. There are three communal swimming pools available to guests. Son Bou also has water slides at nearby Club San Jaime , the owner charges 5 euros to hire loungers , but they give you a 5 euro voucher against food purchased (their food is not great though and their staff are known to be rude !!.), the best pool area and food is at son bou gardens restaurant (100 yards from apartment , looking from balcony) , speak to felipe (manager) and say hi from me. A road train also operates throughout the resort stopping at panoramic vantage points. And of course, the beach - almost 3 km of sand !!!. 18 hole golf course in son parc in the north of island , appx 25 minute drive.
