This is a fabulous brand new built traditional style Perigordian house with its own private pool that lies in the sought after location in the quiet hamlet of Les Communaux. The house lies 3 kms away from the beautiful town of Montignac and the world famous Lascaux Caves.

Our home has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard with open plan living downstairs with a double bedroom and bathroom to compliment the fully fitted kitchen, dining area and utility room.

The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave, integrated fridge freezer, dishwasher and gas hob with an island unit and oak worktops.

In addition we have a 42 inch HD TV with SKY TV package with and iPod docking station.

Wifi is also available throughout the house,though rural France is not as quick as fibre optic in the cities.

Furthermore in the living area, we have a log burner.

The downstairs double bedroom has fitted units, bedside cabinets and French doors that lead directly onto the outside terrace and pool.

The downstairs bathroom also has a power shower, toilet, oak fitted units and natural stone flooring.

The utility room has an automatic washer, tumble dryer and sink located next to the boiler for full gas central heating and hot water.

Downstairs the house has natural stone tiles on the floor throughout.

The dining area has an oak table with high back faux leather chairs. The French doors leading from the dining area open directly onto the outside terrace which has a 10 seater table and chairs with gas BBQ for outside dining under the shade of the canopy. This then leads onto the 6m x 4m swimming pool and terrace for exclusive use by our guests.

The house is set in its own private grounds with beautiful views across the Vezere valley to the south and Les Farges to the north. Ample parking space is available at the back of the house.

Montignac and all its amenities including a supermarket, shops, cafes, restaurants, Catholic church and Canoeing is a mere 5 minutes drive away with many more beautiful towns and castles of the Dordogne and Vezere a little further afield.

Upstairs we have 1 double i twin and 1 single bedrooms with oak bedroom furniture, chest of drawers, wardrobes, and bedside cabinets.

The upstairs bathroom has a power shower with a toilet and fixed bathroom units with natural stone flooring.

Hairdryer and straighteners are also included.

Stair gates can be fitted to the top and bottom of the stairs, and a highchair and travel cot are also available if required.

A really beautiful and well equipped property.

We all had a fantastic time. The property is extremely peacefully situated, but only a couple of miles outside Montignac. All mod-cons, so a very comfortable stay. We all enjoyed the small swimming pool, particularly as the temperature was around the 40 degree mark every day.

The only slight downside was the Wi-fi, which was slow and unreliable.

Gorgeous rural retreat

We have stayed in many holiday rental properties over the years and this one has been by far the best.

This is a quality new build property in the traditional style giving all the benefits of a character house with top quality modern facilities. Lovely open plan living and kitchen area, top quality kitchen and bathrooms. The best equipped kitchen I have yet seen, it is clear this is a well loved family property.

Great peaceful location surrounded by gorgeous countryside but only a few minutes outside Montignac, a lovely riverside town with lots of good restaurants plus canoeing on the river. We had many enjoyable walks in the surrounding countryside.

This is the ideal place for a peaceful relaxing holiday and is very close to many of the best sights, from caves to castles.

Bryan was a wonderfully welcoming host, many thanks for sharing your lovely family home with us we had a wonderful time.
