Luxuriously comfortable modern house exquisitely furnished and well equipped.

This stylish Beach House is one of the original seafront dwellings in Molinar de Larente and has undergone a complete renovation and modernisation in 2004. It is beautifully furnished and equipped to a very high standard and is set over three levels. This comfortable family home has four bedrooms and can sleep up to 9 guests.

The house has a modern façade with large glass picture windows enabling breath taking views from the front of the property across the water to the Bay of Palma.

The house is entered via its front door into an entrance hall that leads to the ground floor areas.

On the ground floor there is a lounge and TV room, separate cloak room, two twin single bedrooms, a shower room and a utility room. A set of stairs leads to the first floor. There is also a lift that provides access to the first floor and in turn to the roof terrace area on the second floor.

There is an integral private garage area that can be accessed from the road via an electric door system. There is a separate access door from the garage that leads directly into the ground floor of the house.

The ground floor lounge and TV room is comfortably and stylishly furnished with a large fabric ‘L’ shaped settee, easy chairs, decorative pouffees and bean bags. There is a large wall mounted television with integrated internet and apple TV. Leading from the large glass picture windows to the front of the lounge area, there is a small private courtyard area that is attractively presented with decorative plant containers and an olive tree. Surrounding the inside of the courtyard there is wooden bench seating and a large table for entertaining. The road and beach promenade can be accessed from here via an entrance gate.

Adjacent to the lounge area there is a bedroom with two twin single beds and wardrobe/clothes storage. Opposite there is a separate cloakroom with a toilet and hand basin.

Leading from the entrance hall there is a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and small hand basin.

There is also a further bedroom with two single beds and wardrobe/clothes storage. Opposite there is a shower room with a separate shower cubicle, a hand basin and toilet.

From the ground floor hallway there are stairs that lead to the first floor where there is a large open plan kitchen and lounge area. The lift door is situated at the top of the stairs close to the entrance to the kitchen area. From the lift there is a small set of steps leading up to the kitchen area.

The kitchen is furnished with high quality appliances that include a central cooking island with a ‘Foster’ four ring induction hob and an overhead concealed extractor fan. It also has a sink and draining area and is well equipped with glassware, cutlery, a dinner service and various cooking utensils. To the side of the central island there is a wide range of kitchen wall units with a number of Miele integrated appliances that include a coffee maker, two dishwashers, two plate warmers, two fridges and an overhead freezer.

The kitchen leads to a lounge area that is beautifully decorated and furnished to a high level. Large glass picture windows surround the front of the lounge area providing stunning views to the sea and beach promenade below. Beside these windows there is a glass door that leads onto a small balcony that overlooks the beach and this is screened by a further glass balustrade.

In the lounge area there is a large fabric settee and leather easy chair and matching foot stool. There is also a wall mounted television that has integrated internet and apple TV and is linked to a sonos music system. In the centre of the room there is a wooden circular dining table with seating for nine people. There is also a coffee table, two free standing light´s and a colourful decorative side board.

To the rear of the first floor there is the master bedroom that has a super king sized bed, fitted wardrobes, two hand basins and cupboards beneath, a jacuzzi bath and a glass fronted shower area. It also has a separate en suite containing a toilet and bidet.

On the first floor there is a further bedroom containing two single beds, a wardrobe and clothes storage. Opposite there is a separate cloakroom with a toilet and hand basin.

From the first floor a further set of stairs lead to the second floor roof terrace. The terrace is tiled and is entered via a large set of sliding glass windows. The lift can also be accessed from just inside the roof terrace area at the top of the stairs.

The terrace is shielded partially by a metal gazebo with a dining table beneath that has seating for 9 people. The terrace is surrounded by a glass balustrade and screened by decorative plant containers. There is a large jacuzzi, a shower, a wooden day bed with comfortable outdoor cushions and a further sunbathing bed and seating.

The house benefits from reverse action air-conditioning in all bedrooms and living areas and it also has wifi throughout.

The Beach House is managed on behalf of its owner, by husband and wife team Clive and Sarah Bowers who live close by in the town of Calvia. Clive and Sarah are responsible for meeting guests on arrival and for making sure that their holiday is as relaxing and comfortable as possible, they also provide any additional services that may be needed such as airport transfers, hire cars, housekeeping etc.

About the Owner

Husband and wife team, Sarah and Clive Bowers are responsible for managing the Beach House on behalf of its owner. They live permanently in the village of Calvia that is a short drive from the house and are responsible for looking after the property all year round and for ensuring that it is maintained to a very high standard.

Sarah is responsible for providing a tailored personal service for all our guests and this would include liaising with you during the booking process to ensure that the house meets all your requirements. Sarah and Clive will also meet you on arrival at the house and can arrange any additional services you may require such as transport, a grocery service, personal chef, yacht charter and the organisation of other sports and leisure activities. Their aim is to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Fabulous holiday at the Beach House

Today is the last day of our extended week over Easter in this magnificent waterfront house. All week long, we enjoyed spectacular views over Palma Bay, a panorama which changes every day and every hour with light, waves and passing boats. Today, an Olympic qualifying race saw catamarans racing at speeds of up to 30 knots and passing within 300 meters of our balcony! Last night, we used the terrace’s high-end telescope to view the moon and planets.

The house has been a great hit with our teenagers and accompanying friends. When not out touring the island’s many attractions or wandering around nearby Palma on bikes, they alternated their lives between the ground floor level where a large living room accommodated their need to hang out and lounge and the roof-top sundeck and Jacuzzi facilities.

Location wise, the waterfront of Molinar is especially attractive. We had lovely family walks to Portixol 5 minutes away along the prom which extends along the shoreline into Palma, about 20 minutes’ walk away. In the other direction the same waterfront path takes you 10km all the way to s’Aranel beach and port. Outside the house, a procession of tourists and residents pass by all day long - bikes, skateboards, joggers, strollers, dog walkers, and excluding bikers, all without exception look up at this place on their way by. It is a fantasy beach house with all the luxury of a royal palace. If you are looking for a lonely tortured-soul spot to write your sorrowful memories, look elsewhere because here?, here there is nothing but an uplifting feeling of being alive. We absolutely loved every moment of it.

The beach house is situated in the highly fashionable area of Molinar de Larente that is within a short walk of the pretty fishing village of Portixol and close by to the historic capital city of Palma.

The area has benefited from significant investment and improvements over the years and many of its sea front properties and old fisherman cottages have been renovated to become fashionable and comfortable homes that are consequently highly sought after.

The house is one of the original sea front properties and has been completely renovated to a very high standard to become an exceptional family home.

The house has the most amazing beach front location and it is possible to walk straight from the ground floor courtyard, across a small road and promenade and onto the beach. Directly in front of the house there are two small bays with fine white sand that are ideal for young children and water sports enthusiasts such as paddle boarders and snorklers, as the water is shallow and protected.

The house is located in a quiet residential area and whilst there is access for cars along the sea front and to the beach house itself, the one way system keeps traffic to a minimum and most visitors tend to walk, cycle, skate or run along the seafront promenade. Indeed it is possible just to while away the time, watching the world go by from the upstairs lounge on the first floor.

The architecture in Portixol is a charming mixture of an old style fishing village combined with modern living. The original fisherman cottages have largely been renovated and sit comfortably alongside the new hotels, restaurants and contemporary urban art.

For those of you who enjoy keeping fit, perhaps whilst exploring the area, there are plenty of outdoor sports opportunities available ranging from paddle boarding, roller blading, skate boarding and local bike hire. If you are a keen walker, Portixol offers the perfect starting point to explore the city, the port of Palma or to just enjoy the beaches.

The beach promenade stretches 16 kilometres and connects Portixol with Palma on one side and El Arenal on the other.

Within walking distance of the house there are a number of beaches to choose from; there is a smaller sheltered beach in the bay and a much larger neighbouring ‘Playa de Palma’ beach. ‘Can Pere Antoni’ can be found on the other side of the harbour and is a larger beach where you can find the renowned ‘Nassau Beach Club’. Further on to the east ‘Cuitat Jardi’ has a much longer stretch of sand.

Portixol is more renowned for eating-out than shopping, but the city of Palma is so close that you have everything you need within a good walk or short taxi ride.

The area has a really cool and trendy atmosphere and contemporary bars, cafes and restaurants can be found within a short walk along the sea front. It is particularly renowned for its sea food restaurants.

The Hotel Portixol was one of the first boutique hotels to open in Mallorca and offers a wonderful decked restaurant area with sea views. A picturesque little fishing harbour fronts the Hotel and it has beautiful views from practically every angle.

The night life in Portixol can also be very lively, especially during peak season and there is a good selection of different bars and clubs to choose from.

In nearby Palma the nightlife is also fantastic and begins at the ‘Real Club Náutico’ and extends some three kilometres to the ‘Club de Mar.’ You can find almost anything to suit all tastes ranging from salsa clubs, pubs, restaurants, and chic dance clubs such as ‘Tito´s’, ‘Abraxas’ and ‘King Kamehameha.’

The nearby capital city Palma has a rich mixture of history, architecture, culture and night life. It also has a sizeable port and attractive marina. It is easy to explore its charming narrow streets on foot or for those of you preferring a more relaxed pace, you can hop onto one of the city’s many Sightseeing Buses or perhaps a Horse Drawn Carriage that will highlight all the attractions along the route and tell you about its rich history and culture. For those of you who are ‘shop-a-holic’s’ Palma boasts some top brand stores and many stylish boutiques. There are also a wide array of fantastic restaurants, cafés and bars – many with outside tables so that you can continue to soak up the city’s unique atmosphere.

Other sightseeing ‘musts’ are Palma Cathedral and the 14th century hilltop Bellver Castle. Near the Bay of Palma you will also find the acclaimed Palma Aquarium.
