3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Townhouse 60 Metres To The Beach In Village Location

This villa is in the heart of the beautiful fishing village of La Cala and is situated only 60 metres from the beach. It sleeps 6 people plus a cot and has 2 bathrooms. The house has been recently extensively and luxuriously renovated throughout and has been our holiday home for many years. It's convenient location is perfect for couples and families alike and the facilities are all within walking distance with no necessity for the use of a car. Buses and taxis are available in the village for visits to other parts of the coast, however car hire is also available in the village for short or longer term rentals. The house has 3 double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes with the master bedroom having access to a pretty balcony. There is a large roof top sun terrace with sun loungers, dining table and superb views to the mountains and the sea. The kitchen is well equipped with modern facilities including washing machine, dishwasher and microwave and all the necessary kitchen appliances. From the kitchen there is access to a typical Andalusian patio which makes for the perfect outdoor dining experience throughout the summer months. Alternatively, the large lounge/dining area is a comfortable space for 6 people to dine indoors. There is satellite TV and a docking station for the use of I pod facility. There is a wide range of bars and restaurants and 3 supermarkets within walking distance of the property for your convenience. Fuengirola is only a short distance away and the cosmopolitan town of Marbella is only a 20 minute bus ride from La Cala.

About Richard and Carole

We currently live in Yorkshire and have 2 grown up children. I have run my own business and my wife teaches young children in our local school. We spend as much time as we can in La Cala as it has been our second home for many years.

Why Richard and Carole chose Mijas area

We have loved coming to La Cala for our holidays for many years and its convenience and safety has always been paramount for bringing up our 2 children as they were able to access the beach independently from an early age. The local people are so friendly and we feel very much part of the village community.

What makes this villa unique

We have enjoyed this property because of its stunning location and its near proximity to the beach. However with the availability of a car the whole of Andalucia is a fantastic place to explore from La Cala. You can be skiing in Sierra Nevada within 2 hours, Gibraltar is only an hour's drive and the city of Malaga, the birthplace of Picasso, with its fabulous architecture and history is only a 30 minute drive or a pleasant coastal train ride from Fuengirola.

Location, Location, Location

My husband and I have just returned from a most enjoyable week in this lovely small town of La Cala. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything one could possibly require - 2 sparkling new bathrooms with excellent showers and a spacious, new, fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms all had large wardrobes and plenty of drawer space too. To be honest, we didn't really use many of the facilities as the house is so well located within a few yards of the beach and the many bars and restaurants of the town that we spent most of our time out (apart from the 1 day when we had torrential rain for 12 hours!). Very good location

Very good location just a few steps from the beach and great bars and restaurants.

Lovely house with modern kitchen and bathrooms.

The roof terrace was wonderful, very private (young children or those with mobility issues may find the steps up tricky)

Be aware the church opposite rings it's bells every 15 mins from 8am til midnight. They're loud inside the house and we don't miss them! However we understand double glazing is being installed.

Overall a lovely house (with a lovely neighbour) in a central location.

Number 7 Coronation Street

As described but a lot smaller. Location is fantastic but 2 main issues. 1 shower room is downstairs and an adult cannot enter without severe difficulty indeed it is actually dangerous. Access to sun terrace is dangerous and needs a hand rail or else someone will have a very bad accident. On a more minor scale the whole place is very tired and needs refreshing. Parking with a large car is impossible as the frontage will only accommodate a small car and parking in the street is difficult as locals use it to access the beach.

We always welcome feedback from our guests and strive to improve our service to provide our clients with as enjoyable an experience as possible. Last summer the property was renovated with luxury new kitchen and bathrooms which other clients have commented very positively about. The downstairs bathroom is fitted with a standard corner entry shower at floor level with the main bathroom providing a very large walk in shower as advertised on the website. Parking in a popular village can always be challenging but there are lots of alternative car parks within a short walking distance of the villa. As we are situated so close to such a beautiful beach it is naturally popular with the locals and tourists alike. The advantage of course is that the beach, bars, banks, shops, supermarkets, restaurants and boardwalks are all within a few a short steps of the property and a car is not an essential requirement. Excellent Loction

Thank you so much to Richard & Carole for the use of their Villa during our recent stay in La Cala de Mijas. This was our first time in La Cala, and we really enjoyed it. The house is so convenient to everything, beach, restaurants, market and the bus stop if you want to travel further. The house was clean and had everything you could possibly need. The shower was fantastic !! The communication with Richard while booking was excellent and smooth and I would have no hesitation in recommending this villa. Five adults stayed and had more than enough room, and the information booklet provided was great. Couldn't fault anything. Thanks again Richard & Carole.

A wonderful break

What a wonderful break away with my family. Being the first time we've been abroad with our 10 month old baby, La Cala de Mijas was perfect. The house is situated a few minutes walk from the beach, supermarket, shops and restaurants. So close we mostly came home for lunch to cool off in comfort. The waiters and locals we're very welcoming towards our baby and us. The fresh seafood and delicious icecream were exactly what we wanted with well recommended local wines, great for the hot weather. The house is lovely and well equipped like a home from home. The market is a very short walk from the house and well worth a visit. Here we also caught a bus to Marbella for a walk around the old town. We're already thinking about booking again for next year.

Great property in a fantastic location

We had a great week in La Cala, the property is in a very central location and also very close to the beach. The whole property was well equipped although we didn't actually cook anything during our stay as the local bars and restaurants were very reasonably priced. I would definitely return. Changeover Day
Our changeover day is Saturday although this may be flexible at quieter periods of the year. In order for the property to be prepared for the next guest the earliest arrival time is 4.00 p.m. Please vacate the property no later than 10.30 a.m.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is payable on booking with the balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. Electronic bank transfer preferred other methods considered.

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds and include air conditioning, cleaning and linen. Beach towels are available for your use at a cost of 4 euros each. A shopping package can be arranged for your arrival which would be charged at local supermarket prices. Please advise us of your request in advance so that we can arrange these facilities.
