Luxury accommodation has full central heating/air conditioning, 3 double bedrooms, each with own bathroom, traditional family kitchen, large living room, washroom with additional WC, sunny terraces and patio with barbecue and outdoor dining area.

The property is fronted by a Mediterranean garden with lavender and rosemary, ideal for relaxing, enjoying the barbecue or watching the local birds and butterflies, and starry night sky. This is great location for cycling and walking.

The vilage of Brusic is 10 minutes drive to the coast and the historic town of Krk with all amenities and many shops, restaurants, tavernas and sporting facilities. Many beautiful beaches are within easy driving distance.

Why Lili Gaunt chose Krk

After returning back home to Croatia, Krk, a lush green island with the clear blue sea, was the right choice. A run down stone cottage in a little village, bought in 1995, was a challenge and a labour of love. Originally an olive press, it was transformed by the local builders and craftsmen into a spacious family home, loved and visited by both my English and Croatian family and friends.

What makes this villa unique

The island of Krk is a great place for an active holiday, but after a day of swimming, sailing, walking or exploring the old towns and villages along the coast, it is great to come home and relax, have a quiet drink in the garden, smell the lavender, watch the butterflies, enjoy the sunset and the beautiful Mediterranean night sky.

Coast/Beach:

Villa Lavanda is an ideal base from which to explore the Island of Krk with its many beaches, coatal walks, historic towns and villages, bays and coves and interesting local flora and fauna. Car hire is essential.

Most beaches are awarded Blue Flag award for the cleanliness of water and the beach, have Mediterranean pine trees for shade and beach caffe for food and refreshments.

Travel:

Local airport (Rijeka), served by Ryanair and Tui airlines is situated on the island of Krk. Pula airport is 1.5 hours away and Zagreb international airport, served by EasyJet and British Airways, is 2.5 hours away by car on motorway, taking you through some beautiful countryside. Island is accessible from mainland by a bridge.

The nearest supermarket and restaurant are 2 km away, beach 5 km away and the town of Krk is ten minutes away by car.

Further Details:

Island of Krk provides many leisure activities; tennis, scuba diving, snorkeling, water skiing, sailing, fishing trips, horse riding, walking, cycling, nature trails. Daily excursions by boat to nearby islands are very enjoyable and a visit to Plitvice National Park highly recommended.
