About the property

Long Leisurely Walks, Stunning Scenery, Cosy Evenings by the Log Burner ....

** Book 2 Nights in March & Get a 3rd Night Free** Contact Us Prior To Booking So We Can Process This Offer!

Nestling on the edge of the Blackwood of Rannoch and just a few minutes walk from the shores of Loch Rannoch (where water sports & fishing are readily available); this is the perfect tonic for those seeking a rural and tranquil get-away. We're child and pet friendly ... so now the whole family can enjoy a restful escape.

Although primarily a self-catering accommodation, complimentary continental breakfast is included in the price for your convenience. Full cooked breakfasts, evening meals and afternoon tea's can be pre-booked for a small additional charge.

Our guests also have free unlimited members access to the swimming pool, sauna, steam room & gym facilities which are located in the village. These facilities are not open to members of the general public.

With trails for mountain biking, an abundance of walks, and an equestrian centre offering riding lessons in the area, plus red squirrel, pine martin, capercaillie and herds of stag practically on the doorstep .... it's a nature lovers paradise.

The property can accommodate a maximum of four adults and an additional fold-down guest-bed can be made available for children under 10 years of age. Towels, bedding, linen, electric and oil-fired central heating are included in the price. Logs for the wood burner can be purchased from ourselves for a reasonable price.

Guests should note that The Log Cabin is on a private spring water supply which is not treated with chemicals and is naturally tainted brown due to the peat content. We recommend bottled water for drinking and will provide a complimentary 5 litre bottle upon arrival.

Gorgeous

  • 4 of 5

The hosts were extremely welcoming and the cabin is perfect for a quiet break away from everything.

It is remote but has everything you need. It's so peaceful and very picturesque around the cabin.

I loved the log burner and the owners threw in a free basket of logs when we arrived. They also gave us an Easter card, which was a lovely touch.

The access is up a forest track so if ground clearance on your car isn't great, bear this in mind!

All in all, a brilliant slice of peace and quiet in a beautiful part of the world.

Cosy & quiet, ideal remote stay

  • 5 of 5

Great remote place, far from the cities yet close enough to Rannoch Station & Kinloch Rannoch to be handy to move around & get to a store for food.

The cabin was better than described, cosy & warm, there was left overs to help us cook and Amanda prepared orange juice, milk, bread, cakes etc. Great welcome!

I'd definitely recommend for a quiet & cosy stay, close to nature.

This property is on a private spring water supply and the water is naturally tainted brown by the peat. We recommend bottled water is used for drinking ~ a complimentary 5 litre bottle is provided upon arrival and additional bottles may be purchased from the village shop. The access road to The Log Cabin is a rough dirt track through the forest, it is not tarred and it does have potholes. Guests who have cars which are very low to the ground may have difficulty on the access road.
