Set in the heart of the ancient village of Trellech near Monmouth, this beautiful Georgian farmhouse sits in an acre of gated walled garden with a cobbled courtyard, barbecue area, large lawns, games room, parking for 10 cars and plenty of space for kids and pets to play including an adjacent paddock/small orchard.
Inside, the house is full of character with an Aga kitchen (the kitchen also has 2 electric ovens and an electric hob, plus a second kitchen), ample space for 22 to dine and sit in comfort, but with quieter spaces too when you need a bit of time to yourself. There’s Sky TV and DVD player in the TV lounge, while the Drawing Room provides an oasis for those who want to sit round the fire and chat or listen to music. In summer enjoy the fantastic light levels pouring through the large bay window - in winter pull the shutters closed and step back in time.
If you fancy eating out the lovely Lion Inn is a 2 minute walk and there are many other great quality pubs and restaurants nearby. If you want to eat in we've everything you need or can recommend excellent caterers for all budgets, from a pig roast to a luxury gourmet celebration.
Kids (and pets) are of course very welcome and you needn't worry about damaging any precious artefacts. Trellech House is an unashamed family home, and above all we want you, your family and friends to relax, make our home your own, and enjoy yourselves.
On the subject of kids and pets, nobody can escape unless you want them to - the grounds are completely enclosed, but be a little careful of the beautiful Trellech Brook, part of which runs through the back garden. Although the garden is large and walled we have neighbours and ask you to respect their peace. We therefore do not have hens, stags or raucous parties.
While a haven for those loving a quiet country break in a walkers' paradise, Trellech House is also only a 10 minute drive from a host of attractions and activities including the nearby towns of Monmouth, Chepstow, the Wye Valley and of course beautiful Symonds Yat.
Trellech itself is a fascinating village with its own neolithic stone circle, church, village hall, and shop.

We are the Rogers family, multi generation farmers and residents of Trellech. This was originally our farm and our family home till our children grew up.

This has been a much loved, large family home for many years, but with the children now grown and flown it is let out as a house which everyone can enjoy as much as we have. The gardens have been a special delight to us, and have been developed over many years. Trellech is in a wonderful location, with fabulous scenery, close to a host of attractions and activities like canoeing and walking in the Wye Valley, all the joys of the Forest of Dean, and the lovely old town of Monmouth. We hope that you enjoy everything it has to offer as much as we have.
2 minutes walk to the village pub, 2 minutes walk to the fields, an absolute haven.
