A wonderful home from home cottage

  • 5 of 5

We were met by Billy who showed us his wonderful cottage, he was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The cottage is certainly one of the best we've ever stayed, it had everything you should wish to have and more, we enjoyed cosy evenings by the fire, magnificent views and dark peaceful nights for amazing nights sleep. We would highly recommend this cottage, knowing you will enjoy this wonderful experience and thank you Billy, you've done a great job!!

Home from home on holiday!

  • 5 of 5

Been visiting family in Donegal for 40+ years and this is the best-equipped let we have had - everything we needed, and quality too. A warm welcome and clear explanation of where everything was from owner, Billy, who then left us to our holiday. Plenty of space outside for entertaining, if we'd had the weather. We had a couple of good meals, at the Harbourside Inn, Rathmullan, with good views of Lough Swilly, and a lovely meal for 13 of us at Ripples restaurant at Kerrykeel, with stunning views of Mulroy Bay. The cottage is far enough off the main routes to be relaxing and peaceful, but close enough to visit and be visited easily. This is a great base for visiting Donegal, and we would definitely hope to rent it again, as would members of our family who saw it! Many thanks again, Billy!

A very nice cottage in a peaceful spot

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely relaxing week in this very well equipped and nicely furnished cottage. The property has an impressive garden with a superb outlook from its elevated site. It really is very peaceful here and it proved to be an ideal base for exploring Donegal. Our thanks to Billy for greeting us so warmly on our arrival and for being so pleasant and professional to deal with.

The Cottage is ideally placed in a private location down a long lane, far way from passing traffic. It is set in half an acre of mature gardens with sweeping views of Lough Swilly and the hills beyond.

Within an easy 2 hour drive of Belfast with its shops, museums and Titanic Quarter. A drive away from the Antrim Coast and Giant's Causeway with its fascinating landscape.

Closer at hand is the historic town of Ramelton with its peaceful meandering river and bustling Letterkenny with a wide range of shops, restaurants, pubs and leisure facilities.

If you prefer the peaceful life you will be close to some of the most stunning beaches, rolling countryside and woodland walks imaginable.

The Wild Atlantic Way is close by and a drive along this provides panoramic sea views of the stormy Atlantic waves.

Glenveagh National Park is 40 minutes away and well worth the visit. The bus from the visitors' centre winds its way beside a lake to the stunning Glenveagh Castle with its beautiful gardens. If you are feeling energetic bicycles can be hired for the journey.

Sailing, golfing, horse-riding, fishing, walking, can all be enjoyed nearby. A great location for all sorts of outdoor activities.
