Newquay Cornwall - Apartment In Peaceful Location Overlooking Boating Lake.

This one bedroom apartment has been completely renovated for 2015. It occupies a fantastic location with views across the park and Boating Lake. Just a few minutes walk away you'll find Newquay Zoo, Tennis Courts, Crazy Golf, a Leisure Centre and a Miniature Railway. On the park is a tea room heading towards the zoo and across from the apartment is a popular café which becomes a very busy restaurant in the evening. Just a few more minutes walk and you will be in Newquay centre where you can explore one or all 5 of the lovely beaches with plenty of activities including surf schools. Head down to Lusty Glaze to try jet skiing, abseiling and many more or walk down to Newquay Harbour and book a sea safari trip where you might see the dolphins. Newquay town has various shops, pubs, and restaurants including Frankie and Benny's and Walkabout.

The apartment is modern, clean, comfortable, has it's own parking space and the perfect base to return to after a day of exploring Cornwall. The open plan living area is a perfect family space with a door opening on to the balcony but has the privacy of a separate bedroom. There is room for 4 with a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area which is ideal for 2 children or one adult. It comes very well equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, tv/dvd combined, cable tv, wifi, washing machine, maiden, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board should you need them. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and a under sink cabinet.

Felt like i was at home. Just superb

It was my first visit to Newquay and like all people you think I hope the apartments nice. Well don't look anywhere else as this one is perfect. Its in a great location with lots of attraction's around. The apartment is modern and the cleanest iv ever seen. Everything you need, Freeview TV with DVD, internet, fully kitted out kitchen. fridge, cooker, oven and even a washing machine. They've even got an extension lead for the ladies to yous hair dryer and strainers. The balcony as a great view of a boating lake with café. Its quite for when you sleep in a really comfortable bed. If your looking to relax like at home but feel like your on holiday well trust me stay here. All credit to the owners Mick & Sharon. You have a wonderful place and I would recommend it anybody. There description of the penthouse apartment is spot on. Will Differently be stopping here again.

Could had been five stars (see below)

Apartment great nice & clean everything one wanted except very disappointed that there was no internet connection which is a must these days (although we did know this before we booked, but wouldn't book again because of this) also couldn't get oven/grill to work but after looking at state of oven we decided not to bother, didn't look liked it had been cleaned for a long time.

Owner's Response: I am pleased you liked the apartment, we do employ someone who takes great pride in her work and has always kept the apartment very clean. I am very sorry you found the oven to be dirty, I will look in to it. I do not know why it would be as our cleaner is usually very thorough. I am also sorry you could not get the oven/grill to work and as soon as I received your email on your departure day I arranged for an engineer to have a look at it straight away as there was someone else staying after you left. He said it was working fine, although he did say the instruction leaflet which is in the kitchen drawer is not the easiest to understand and does not make it clear that all 3 dials need to be used for the oven/grill to work. We have not been able to have WiFi installed until now due to the apartment being booked and us needing to be there to accept delivery of the router and tv box, however, my husband and I spent last week there and BT have now installed a line to the apartment and we have installed WiFi along with youview tv.

Lovely

The apartment was lovely, beautifully decorated and we were provided with everything that we needed. Everything was clean and well taken care of and the apartment is in a beautiful location, with a view over the boating lake. It's also very peaceful.

The bedroom has adequate storage and the bed is very comfortable, we were also provided with a generous supply of coat hangers!

The bathroom is a little on the snug side, but other than that it's a very comfortable apartment.

Good location, very pleasant, well maintained property and accurate listing.

The apartment is very pleasant and well maintained with good storage space. We were amazed that we were able to put everything away including the suitcases as we had a lot of belongings.

At first we were a little concerned being in a one bedroom apartment with two young children but it worked well. The apartment was clean and it was a lovely surprise having a visit from the cleaner after the first week to change all linen and supplying a fresh set of towels.

The sofa bed was very easy to convert and comfortable but not as big as a double bed however ideal for young children to share.

There was everything we needed in the kitchen, no dishwasher but washing machine and all amenities. Although a main road is on the other side of the lake the setting is very quiet, except the ducks! from the boating lake.

There is an information pack left by the owner which is very useful and practical information along with a great number of local information leaflets.

We had breakfast and even dinner a couple of times on the balcony, an area which also created a bonus play space for the children.

The location is ideal having the boating lake restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and being of equal distance to the town (different routes can be used) and beaches.

There is a nearby activity park with amenities such as a Zoo, swimming pool, mini golf, and newly fitted play area with a little model railway to ride and of course the boating lake allowing you to have great fun on the boats and pedalos.

Next to the boating lake there are really beautiful gardens to walk around. In the other direction you are very close to the river Gannel estuary, for an amazing walk to Crantock beach when the tide is low.

So plenty to do for big and small.

Would be happy to recommend the property and we would return without hesitation. Only gave 4 stars due to the lack of wifi as not installed yet at the property.
