This property has everything you need plus more, ideal stay for a couple Julia couldn't have been more helpful, the kitchen facilities were brilliant as we like to cook when we are away. plus the whole cottage was comfortable and warm. we hire lots of cottages and this one of the best. lots of great walks near by and a short car ride even more, plus the beautiful town of southwold would highly recommend this property and location

Lovely cottage and a wonderful holiday!

  • 5 of 5

This quaint and charming cottage was perfect for a long weekend getaway. The cottage itself is well-equipped and full of character. The garden tucked behind the cottage was a beautiful place to eat or just to enjoy the sun. There are lots of things to do in the area (as listed in the visitor book), the secluded beach at Covehithe was a personal favourite. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and I would highly recommend staying here.

A peaceful bolt hole for adults

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this sweet little cottage, the perfect bolt hole to escape to after busy days on nearby Southwold beach with grand children who were holidaying there. The property is very clean and obviously newly decorated and has a well equipped kitchen( always something I look for in a holiday cottage). It's set back from the road in a row of pretty cottages opposite a very interesting church which is well worth a look inside. There's a sweet little garden out the back with a small pond worth remembering for any visiting toddlers. The cottage itself is well equipped and warm, the heating system worked so well we didn't need to try out the great looking log burner but I'm sure that would have made the little sitting room even more snug. If you want to eat out the pub in Blyford does great food and is nice and welcoming but it's a good idea to book as it's very popular. One word of caution - the stair case is very narrow and winding and would not be suitable for any one with mobility problems. If you're into bird watching or just enjoying country walks there are lots of great places close by including footpaths out of the village. In summary we loved our little break here and hope to return for another before too long!
