Well equipped apartment with lovey views

  • 4 of 5

Comfortable apartment with lovely views of the River Parrett, extremely well equipped with excellent kitchen facilities & laundry room, Almost too much storage space in the bedroom for holiday accommodation, but not a negative! Some great walks from the door and the balcony is a lovely feature, as is the local pub - The King Alfred which is but a short stroll away. The food there is terrific, with great service & good quality wines & beers, not to be missed. Such a shame they have changed their policy on dogs, as we will not be able to return. But if you don't have a four legged family member, give this lovely apartment a go....

Absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 3 night in August while visiting the area. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner Catherine and settled in to a lovely property overlooking the Mump. There is a balcony which has a beautiful vista across the levels. This is a very quiet, rural retreat with a nice pub in walking distance and easy access to beaches and large towns.

Catherine and her husband were perfect hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the apartment and in the surrounding area. We will return there.

Well equipped modern barn conversion with fabulous views from balcony

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a three night stay with my husband and 11 year old daughter.

We were very happy with this accommodation which we felt offered excellent value for money, was extremely well equipped with towels and bedding included as standard. We found the property to be very clean, nicely furnished and it was a nice touch to have fresh flowers on the dining table. Being on the first floor the property has wondering views of Barrow Mump (which is well worth a walk up), the river and countryside, it also has a balcony with table and chairs which I can imagine would be a great place to enjoy an alfresco meal or glass of wine in the summer.

It's a short walk to the village pub which we found served excellent food with a friendly landlady and staff.

I'm sure we will return and would definitely recommend as a great base for exploring the area.
